"I recently stayed at the Hôtel de Bourbon (the Mercure one) in Bourges, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a little piece of history while still having all the modern comforts you could want. My room was a classic double, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent—properly supportive after a day of wandering around—and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower with good water pressure. Everything felt freshly renovated (they did a big update around 2018), with a nice blend of modern touches and the old abbey character. Some rooms overlook the park, which must be lovely in summer."

"A very nice property well located in the town. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully finished. The bed is great. However don't let the Radisson brand trick you into believing its a professionally run establishment - its anything but!! There is blatantly a clear absence of any management whatsoever. And don't pay for breakfast-its a shambles! Tables left uncleared, staff with no clue what they should be doing, buffet runs out of everything and its in a bunker with no windows in it despite having a nice brasserie upstairs! Noisy at night too given its central location."
