"The location of this homestay could not be any better, right next to the ancient town and the birth house of the 7th Dalai Lama. It’s also only a short walk to the Litang Monastery. The host is friendly, helpful and communicative. Note that this is a true homestay with a large shared room for people to gather. The host invited us to ******* milk tea and drinks, which was lovely and stood out!
Unfortunately, the rooms are quite dated and not very clean, with dust and hair from previous occupants on the floor and couch. The bathroom and toilet were also not clean, and there was a strong sewer smell in the bathroom.
That said, the host did her best to remedy this and the price for the room was also more than fair!"

"First, I want to say that the service and environment of the establishment were excellent. Secondly, I didn't mention that I was a reviewer for the InterContinental Hotel. However, the service was excellent for everyone. Here are my suggestions:
Facilities: The toilet had no water. There was no water to flush after using the toilet. I suggest the establishment repair this.
Cleanliness: The cleaning lady may not have been thorough enough. The light switches were covered in dust.
Diffuse oxygen supply: I suggest adding an indicator sticker to the machine.
Service: The service was impeccable. We arrived quite late. The establishment was very attentive, waiting for us and even coming to meet us at the door to make sure we couldn't find it. They also asked if we needed any help with our luggage.
My suggestion is to replace the toilet paper in the room with facial tissues. Currently, they use rolls, and when you pull them, the whole box falls to the floor."

"After a whole day stuck in traffic on Route 318, we finally arrived in Litang late at night, dusty and tired. We booked the Hanting Hotel, and though the price was a bit high, it was totally worth it! First, when we checked in that night, they saw we weren't feeling well and, realizing it was altitude sickness, immediately gave us Coke to help. They didn't rush us at all, constantly telling us to take our time. When we asked for an extra blanket for the kids, they brought it right away. Their attitude was excellent. The breakfast was also delicious, and the lady working there was incredibly nice too. Everything was so thoughtful. The next morning, feeling better, I wanted to do some laundry. The front desk lady patiently guided me and answered all my questions. A huge shoutout to Ms. Ciden Zhima! She helped us solve so many problems and added a lot of pleasant experiences to our trip."

"The room was large, the lobby and corridors were unique, and there were charging stations at the entrance. It was pet-friendly. However!! The underfloor heating was broken; only the bathroom area was warm. The room was ice cold. The receptionist turned on the underfloor heating before our check-in, but the room temperature was only 10 degrees Celsius by check-out. It's -10 degrees Celsius in Litang at night, so I could only manage to sleep with a blanket over the quilt. I thought the temperature would rise in the middle of the night, but in the morning, the underfloor heating automatically turned off. I woke up freezing in the morning and quickly checked out; it was just too cold. The hotel lobby was much, much warmer than the room. The experience was terrible."

The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, reliable hot water, and strong Wi-Fi signal. The breakfast had a good variety of options, fresh ingredients, and was replenished regularly. Overall, it was good value for money, and I would consider staying here again next time."

"Choosing this hotel for my trip here was absolutely the right decision! As soon as I opened the door, I felt how cozy the room was. The warm lighting paired with the Tibetan-style soft furnishings gave it such a sense of belonging. The room even had a ******* tea table, perfect for chatting and drinking tea with friends – so relaxing. Every corner was spotlessly clean, and even the pillows smelled like they'd been sun-dried. But what truly stood out was the service. The front desk girl was incredibly patient. When I asked for recommendations for local ******* restaurants, she not only gave me a list but also specifically pointed out which place had the most authentic butter tea. When I came back in the evening, she even proactively asked if I needed an extra blanket. Her service was attentive without being overbearing throughout my stay, making me feel even more relaxed than I do at home."

Awesome views, stylish interior and good starting point to do some activities. We did not have a car but could anyway hike up the mountain directly from the hotel as well as go to Leggu Monastery. They even gave us two free hot drinks. Only downside: the common area is not heated properly you will therefore have to eat breakfast in the cold and it is not as cosy as it could be in autumn.

The location of this guesthouse is absolutely stunning; the room's window is like a giant picture frame, capturing the snow-capped mountains, meadows, and starry sky. At night, stargazing on the terrace, the Milky Way was so clear, it felt like I could reach out and touch it—it was breathtaking! The owner said it was the perfect spot to view the sacred mountain, and it truly lived up to its reputation. For photography enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility, this is paradise.

Comfortable hotel in remote town. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean with stylish rooms. The staff are very friendly, though some are a bit too casual (e.g. smoking while setting up the breakfast buffet). I stayed here twice as did my friend and on each occasion our rooms were missing things that they had on other occasions...e.g. mineral water, toiletries, humidifiers. Some of the lights in the room are sensor activated and came on several times during the night. Also, on one occasion the power went out for almost an hour. I would stay again though. This region has developed very fast and its impressive that this standard of hotel exists here already. I'm sure the little glitches will occur in other Litang hotels too. The food in the 8F cafe was very good and great value.

Guest UserWe were able to get a ride from Yading to Litang via a carpool service, and the driver dropped us off directly at the hotel. The accommodation itself was well-equipped with underfloor heating and an oxygen concentrator. The owner, who is also a musician, spoke excellent English. In the evening, they lit a stove, and we could have enjoyed music and dancing with them, but we were too tired and went to bed early. They were incredibly kind, even preparing a PDF file with recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, which they shared with us on WeChat. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the Old Town, Baita Park, and King Gesar Square. For breakfast, the host's mother prepared a simple yet delicious meal of cherry tomatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, and mung bean porridge. My sister, who is a picky eater, found the mung bean porridge so tasty that she had two bowls! They even gave us a ride to the Litang bus terminal for our journey to Kangding. The host, a big fan of 'Running Man,' was truly the kindest. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer, as it rained on the day we arrived and the weather remained poor the next day. We had also accumulated fatigue from over six weeks of high-altitude travel, and the stay in Yading village brought on altitude sickness, which continued, compounded by the low atmospheric pressure due to the rain. Litang is a city at an altitude of 4000 meters. I really wanted to see Mount Genyen and visit Litang Temple, but due to the rain, I couldn't. If another opportunity arises in the autumn or May, this is a guesthouse I'd love to revisit.

Right at the foot of Mount Genyen, the hotel's location is fantastic with breathtaking scenery. We booked a log cabin, which was quite unique. For a mountain hotel, the conditions were surprisingly good, not at all like what you'd expect in the city. The butler service was also excellent; they even helped with our luggage. We were especially lucky this time to witness the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' phenomenon.

The facilities are excellent, and the service is great. Oxygen is provided in the room from 5:30 PM to 8:00 AM every night, which was very comfortable, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. The room has heating, and the intensity is adjustable. The hotel is at an altitude of nearly 4000 meters. The breakfast selection is extensive, and the environment is superb. There is a Tesla Supercharger available! However, the oxygen supply is a bit noisy, so I recommend bringing earplugs.

The room I stayed in this time was very clean. I could enjoy the snow-capped mountains and grasslands outside the window. The location was excellent, and Room 318 was right outside my door. The room had good lighting, was cleaned quite well, and was quiet enough. For someone like me who has high requirements for sleep quality, it felt good. The front desk service attitude was good, enthusiastic and polite, and the overall feeling was good!

The proprietress is very good. Seeing that we are cold, we are afraid that we will directly plug the hot tea oxygen generator without saying anything. We have ～ moved 🥹🥹 and electric blankets. The week here is very comfortable. ～ The burger and butter latte of the homestay are forced! ! ! There are a lot of meat stuffing, and the butter latte is very delicate. The B&B itself has a warm, soothing log cabin aesthetic, with simple yet tasteful rattan furniture that blends perfectly with the mountain surroundings. Here, you can wake up to the golden sunlight on the mountains, spend the afternoon basking in the warm sun, drinking tea and relaxing, and in the evening, enjoy the gentle mountain breeze. It's a complete escape from city noise, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature.
