"All things are good, near the clean beaches and breakfast was great.
The only thing was that Wifi and cell phone network connection in the room is bad, it was very inconvenient for me when working on Zoom calls.
I had bad experience with my Zoom session during my stay, I tried to connect with my AIS network during the failure just to find out that I can't connect to my network in my room, the only way is to get out of my room to get a better connection.
So this place is good for vacation only..."

"it was such a lovely stay at roomquest. picked it because of the surroundings, private and cosy- perfect for a nice getaway surrounded by trees up in the mountain. Tom was such a great host, very friendly, helpful and feels like family whenever we head to the lobby! The restaurant is worth a visit even if you don’t stay there, absolutely the best dish we had in koh samui. MUST try the Panang chicken tender, we had it everyday we were there for dinner! Overall it was such a chill vibe and perfect for couples to take a break in such a lovely place."

"A beautiful quiet retreat, very relaxed atmosphere. Pan (แผน) was so helpful arranging transport for us, and as we were leaving the island quite late, he helped arrange a private tour of the island. In the mornings you can hear elephants from the sanctuary and gibbons in the distance. Unfortunately doesn't seem to be in the right location for a lot of the organized tours to agree to pick you up, they seem to think anywhere 'up the hill' is out of bounds! The food was very good for both breakfast and evening meals. It's not easy to visit other restaurants or convenience stores without transport, but the hotel reception are happy to help arrange drop off and pick up for you. We were 2 couples sharing adjoining rooms, the only criticism we can find is if anything the seating in the rooms was a little uncomfortable if you want to relax I front of the TV, but not really a problem, and we could have done with more space in the refrigerator to keep water cool."

"I stayed with my son in a deluxe room with a sea view in August 2025. The room is large enough. The room has a small refrigerator, TV, kettle and air conditioning; no safe. The furniture is old, the beds have comfortable mattresses, slightly hard pillows. There are a lot of ceramics and wooden carved decorations in the hall and around the area. The pool is about 15 meters long of different depths with 2 shallow bowls for babies. Beach towels are brought to the pool late, usually after 10 am. There is little shade from the trees in the sun lounger area. Standard breakfasts: vegetables, 4 types of fruit, fried eggs or omelette, sausages, changing hot dishes (noodles, stewed vegetables, chicken ...). In our room, the roof half covered the balcony, in other rooms in the right wing of the building the roof was full. The location of the hotel is convenient. Not far from 7eleven, a tour desk, shops .... The night market is 20 minutes at a leisurely pace. I recommend the hotel for a holiday. The staff is friendly. Of the negative points - poor room cleaning."

"We had a spacious and beautiful bungalow. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a unpleasant smell, but it was immediately attempted by the service to do something against it. For 3 nights it was super, because you had a direct beach location and shops/bars/restaurants/pier were in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, the pool is not invited, which should be cleaned up by the leaves. For a longer period the accommodation would not be satisfactory but for the 3 days it was super suited."

"Stayed here for 1 night. Bed and pillows are super comfy! But! The air condition is too noisy, couldnt sleep with it working. Without it you are sweating...Also there is a bar or club nearby and i could hear the bass coming through the walls till about 2 am. So for 1 or 2 nights its ok, but wouldnt recommend it for longer."

Its proximity to various restaurants, shops, and local attractions makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Being able to walk everywhere is a huge plus and adds an element of relaxation to the vacation experience.
Staff: One of the standout features of the resort is its staff. They are not only efficient, ensuring everything runs smoothly, but also genuinely friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. This level of service greatly enhances the overall stay.
Room Views: Opting for a room on the third floor is highly recommended as it offers scenic views. While the first and second floors might lack these views, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms remain commendable. Bed and pillows were awesome!!
Pool Area: The infinity pool is a highlight, providing a luxurious and serene environment to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the sun. This well-maintained area is made even more enjoyable by the fun and friendly pool and bar staff. One memorable highlight was when staff made popsicles by hand for the guests, adding a delightful touch to the day’s activities.

This could be a dealbreaker for light sleepers or those seeking a restful retreat.
Beach and Swimming Conditions: While the beach itself is beautiful and great for daytime relaxation, the water level often remains below one meter, making it impossible to swim in the ocean. This shallow water issue is prevalent across most of Chaweng Beach and might disappoint those looking forward to ocean swimming.

From the moment we arrived at Marasca, we knew we were in for something special. The resort is very well-secured at the entrance, giving us peace of mind right away. The front office team was simply superb—friendly, efficient, and attentive in just the right way.
Our porter was quick to assist with our luggage, no fuss, no wait—just seamless service. Although early check-in wasn’t available when we arrived, the hotel’s app made all the difference. Through the app, we could explore the resort, make requests, and track our room status. Eventually, we received a notification that our room was ready—such a convenient system!
The room itself? Immaculate! Spotless and thoughtfully designed with a massive bed, a sparkling clean shower area, a cozy separate seating space, and an automated toilet that lifts the cover for you. No-touch toilet seat? That’s a huge bonus!
We were also greeted with a delightful welcome basket in the room, packed with special drinks, snacks, and even a handwritten postcard by the General Manager. It was such a warm and personal touch—it’s hard not to fall in love with the place instantly.
We did try the spa, and while it’s on the pricier side, the service and facilities were absolutely worth every penny—top-notch from start to finish.
Cabanas, the beach club at Marasca, is another highlight. Ultra-chilled vibes, beautifully designed with lush greenery, comfy furniture, and a view that opens right up to Chaweng Beach. It was the perfect place to unwind.
Breakfast? Impressive. A great mix of Western and Asian dishes, plus a healthy spread of salads, pastries, yogurt, juices, and smoothies. The little touches like free healthy shots in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon truly made our stay even more enjoyable!
Marasca also offers daily activities for guests, so you’ll never run out of things to do.
To sum it all up: this is, hands down, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Huge shoutout to the amazing team—Mo, Tony, Ja, Chet, Jenny, Puppup, Andy, Pui, Golf, and the rest whose names I can’t recall. Your teamwork and hospitality were unforgettable.

AAdam PuetzfeldGreat hotel with great and attentive service as well as very clean facilities. We've been welcomed very warmly by all the staff at the reception. Our room had a great and straight view on the sea, located just above the pool. The hotel itself is build on a hill and it's not easy to walk up to the rooms, however, the staff is always ready and offering shuttle service which is great. Our room was very clean, the bathroom offered enough space. The only thing I wish could have been provided were some more toiletries (such as tooth brush, comb and a shaver). Breakfast selection on the buffet was quite limited but sufficient for a 3-4 days stay. Besides that there was an a la carte Egg Dish menu, which was very nice. Recommend the Egg Benedict, these were poached daily perfectly.
The location of the hotel slightly remote but quiet on the other hand. Plus, there's a van shuttle service twice a day and hotel itself provides drop offs down to the main road whenever needed. Bike rental is just bedside the hotel, which made it even more convenient.
Overall a great time at the Mantra Hotel, can only recommend.

VViktorLocation: you need to immediately understand that you will need transport. There are a couple of cafes within walking distance, but we didn’t go to them, there weren’t many people there either, except that a couple of times we saw a few farangs having breakfast. Report offers delivery to and from the beach during certain hours. I don’t remember the price: either free, or for a symbolic fee, very low. They also offered to order breakfast and have it delivered to your villa: it’s certainly more expensive than in a regular cafe, but still affordable. We did not use this service, since we would have to plan breakfast time in advance (why?). The beach... we stayed during the daytime low tides, so I can’t say anything good about the sea, but the beach itself is clean and almost deserted.
Surprises: we booked a villa with three bedrooms and a living room + a swimming pool. When looking at the photos of the rooms (at the time of booking), I could not understand the location of the room and also could not understand the privacy of the pool. Will the pool be ours alone or will it have to be shared with guests from some other villa. I even looked around on Google Maps, but still didn’t fully understand it. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that this very villa consists of two separate houses between which there is a swimming pool (not small, but medium in size). One house consists of two bedrooms with separate entrances and separate bathrooms, and the other house consists of a huge living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom + 2 bathrooms. Grandiose! Another patio.
Of the minuses: not very stable wi-fi, TV is brooding. That's all. Air conditioners also do not cool as quickly as we would like, but this is the fault of the building design. A huge area of glazing which is made of single wood. If in the future we install normal aluminum structures with double-glazed windows, it will be possible to achieve a better effect from air conditioners + save on electricity and improve sound insulation. If it's your first time in Koh Samui and you want an unbeatable sea view room with hotel amenities, I highly recommend the beachfront villas at Silavadee.
**Hotel Pros:** The stunning, unbeatable ocean views are immediately apparent and absolutely breathtaking. Furthermore, the room design and maintenance are excellent; it's a wooden structure full of holiday charm that doesn't feel damp or moldy despite being by the sea, remaining fresh and tidy.
The hotel service is spot on. Whether it's room service or restaurant service, they respond promptly to requests, and the prices are reasonable!
**Things to consider for your stay:** The transportation is a bit inconvenient. Since it's on a hill, there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance apart from the hotel's own. We rented a motorbike from the hotel, so it didn't affect us. The hotel beach is just average; it's a bit small, and walking further in can be a bit rough on the feet. The waves are often too strong for water sports, but since we mostly relaxed in our room, it wasn't an issue for us.

MMarielleeGarrya Tonsay Bay was a beautiful and peaceful oasis on Koh Samui! We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!

Hotel is wonderful, 2 great pools (one right in the garden with lots of lovely trees around amd right next to the room) balcony of room also has a great view of pool and the garden.
2nd pool larger and also surrounded by great salas and decking etc.
The beach which is maybe 100m walk from room is fantastic, lovely sandy beach with plenty of chairs and decking for comfort.
The staff from the reception to the maids to the serving staff all super nice and friendly.
I came with wife and daughter for 3 nights originally bit extended for another 4 nights as the hotel amd grounds and staff just all so nice.. everything you need is right here.
As the hotel is just off the chaweng main strip thought maybe would be noisy but absolutely not.. it's far enough down towards the beach that the main strip isn't an issue, (unless of course you want to see the main strip and the many bars resteraunts s etc well no problem either as all of this is walking distance away so best of both worlds)
Breakfast buffet has plenty of options also.
So after another 4 days we may extend a bit more as I day it has everything you need for a great beach tropical holiday.
Food amd drinks all reasonably priced (food is excellent with a wide selection)

AAnonymous UserEverything about this hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was fantastic—very attentive and professional. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, and the property itself was stunning, with beautiful landscaping and plenty of areas to relax. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality options.
However, there are a couple of downsides. The beach line is quite narrow, and the sand is relatively coarse, though this seems to be a characteristic of the entire North Coast. Additionally, the rooms are designed in a way that you can hear your neighbors, as they are separated by connecting doors. This can occasionally affect privacy and quietness.
Overall, despite these minor issues, everything else was perfect, and I would still highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay!

戴戴The room is very nice. You can see the pool and the sea. The four-drilled hotel in Thailand seems to have a common problem. The above part of the room, such as the table top, the bedside will not be cleaned as long as the air conditioner is empty. Breathing room found a worm two big spiders toilet floor ant hotel is the most terrible is breakfast I have never seen so many flies breakfast from small to large, some of the open-side food at the poolside is not covered with plastic wrap and flies directly You have to keep looking at your own dish, or you have to keep an eye on your own dish. Otherwise, the sliced bread is placed on a shelf against the wall. It is easy to see that the ants are too disgusting to run. There are many flies in the room. The ants are too collapsed. There are only one or two waiters in the room. There is no smile. No smile may be because they are more tired.
