Our cabin is easily accessible but away from trains, planes and highways. Four-wheel drive is not necessary. Marble, a very small community, is a great central location for exploring the beautiful places of western Colorado. Within a two hour drive you can visit the orchards and vineyards of Paonia, the stunning Black Canyon of the Gunnison River, Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction, the Roaring Fork River valley and Aspen, Independence Pass and the Snowmass Wilderness. There are 2 lakes to fish and tons of trails to hike and forest to explorer.The spaceUpstairs there are 4 beds. One twin bed in a room by itself, off to each side of the stair there are sleeping areas, one bunk bed twin over full and one twin by itself. There is a smart TV in the bedroom. Downstairs there is a futon if you need more sleeping space then what is upstairs. There is a 65-inch smart TV in the living room with Netflix. There is Wi-Fi in the cabin and also a desk for a work area. There is base board heat and also a wood burning stove in the living room. In the kitchen you will find a small table for dining, a coffee station with a Keurig and all different kinds of coffee and hot coco. There is a microwave, and an oven/air fryer, there a normal stove top for cooking and a full side refrigerator. Also, a washer and driver in the hall closet. There is a Grill on the porch and a firepit in the back yard.Guest accessYou have the whole cabin to yourself. The cabin sits on almost an acre. There is one neighbor on one side but not close.There is very spotty cell service depending on your carrier. The Wi-Fi works great for Wi-Fi calling.Other things to noteThis cabin is within Arrowhead, a mountain home community located between Gunnison and Montrose, south of highway 50 on the Alpine Plateau Road. From May, into November, the cabin is accessible by car. When there is adequate snow, usually in November, the roads within Arrowhead are closed to car and truck traffic. During winter, when the internal roads are closed, you need to park at the winter parking lot and traverse the remaining 1/4 mile to the cabin by snowmobile, snowshoe, of skis. The cabin is not far from the winter parking area after the trails for the snowmobiles has formed you can walk in with just snow boots. Snowmobiles can be rented from Arrowhead Mountain Adventures located next to Arrowhead Mountain Inn.There are 2 lakes that are stocked to fish and tons of forest to explorer. Blue mesa lake is 17 miles away as well as Lake City. Rustic for sure, but in a spectacular setting...the views from this property are breathtaking...in the midst of single track riding, (the Upper Loop, Long Lake, the Lupine trail, 403, the Lower Loop, 401) and amazing 4-wheel drive roads (Paradise Divide, Schofield Park, the Slate River Road.) Bicycle all trails from the cabin. Please note, razors or side by sides and dirt bikes are not allowed on subdivision roads, nor are trailers allowed in the subdivision. Open floor plan boats a full kitchen w/ island, dining room w/ expandable table, bar, and large living room with pellet stove. Head outside to the large Trex Deck to use the grill and enjoy incredible views of the mountains. Enjoy the fire pit below the house as you watch the deer stroll by, or use the chiminea on the deck.PLEASE NOTE: This cabin is only accessible via snowmobile/snowshoes/skies during the winter months! The cabin is less than 1 mile from the winter parking lot & shuttles to and from the cabin are available for an additional fee. This cabin is most comfortable for a small family or two couples, but can sleep up to 6 people with need sharing including a queen air mattress upon request. There is both a cozy pellet stove and a wood fire place, and spacious outside deck. It is tucked in an aspen grove so plenty of wildlife can be viewed walking around the full acre property.
