"I was completely taken by Brij Villa from the moment I stepped through its doors. There is something wonderfully timeless about its colonial architecture and old-world charm, and yet the property feels warm, intimate and beautifully cared for. Almost immediately I had the feeling that I belonged there. The villa is serene and wonderfully quiet and the attention to detail throughout the property is remarkable. Everything is exceptionally well maintained and the cleanliness is truly top-notch. The rooms are beautiful and incredibly comfortable and I especially appreciated how the renovation has preserved the character and beauty of the original architecture rather than modernising it away. The beautiful hydrangeas blooming around the property only add to its charm. The service deserves a special mention. Sachin, Atul and the rest of their team were exceptionally kind, attentive and prompt without ever being intrusive. Every interaction felt genuinely warm and personal. The food was delicious, but the little ritual of tea with their butter cookies may have been my favourite part - quite possibly the best butter cookies I’ve had with tea! As it wasn’t peak tourist season, there were no other guests staying in the villa’s remaining five bedrooms, which made the entire experience feel almost surreal. For the duration of my stay, it felt as though I had the whole house to myself. Sitting in that beautiful old villa, surrounded by gardens and hydrangeas, with the quiet of Dalhousie around me, felt like stepping straight into Downton Abbey. What impressed me most is the value you get for the experience. This isn’t simply a place to stay it feels like staying in a beautifully preserved piece of history, with wonderful hospitality, impeccable upkeep, delicious food and genuine warmth, all without feeling overly commercial or impersonal. I genuinely didn’t want to leave. Brij Villa is one of those rare places where the stay becomes a memory in itself. I left feeling wonderfully rested, a little nostalgic, and already certain that I’ll be back."

The location of the hotel is perfect—peaceful, scenic, and very convenient for exploring the beautiful hill town of Dalhousie. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and lovely views made the stay even more special. The food at the hotel deserves special praise. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and well prepared. The variety offered in the menu was impressive, and the taste felt very homely yet rich. It was clear that a lot of care goes into the quality and presentation of the food. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and always ready to help. Their warm hospitality made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. They were attentive to every request and ensured that everything was taken care of promptly. Overall, my stay at Mongas Hotel & Resort was memorable because of its great location, excellent food, and the genuinely caring staff. "I booked Alps Resort Dalhousie because I was looking for a beautiful place to stay in Dalhousie that offered comfort at an inclusive and affordable price. Although there were some initial issues with the booking, they were addressed quickly, and I arrived to a warm welcome from the staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the peaceful surroundings and the attentiveness of the team. They asked about dietary concerns and preferences ahead of the included dinner I had booked, and they answered all of my questions at check-in with professionalism and genuine hospitality. The welcome drink was tea made with real ginger, which was a lovely touch. The room had all the basic amenities I needed, and the bed provided a very restful night of sleep. During dinner, my husband and I were warmly welcomed and presented with a beautiful buffet ***** with a selection of fresh Indian breads brought from the nearby kitchen. The staff checked on us regularly to ensure everything was perfect while still allowing us to enjoy the meal at our own pace, just as you would expect from a quality restaurant. They were very willing to accommodate us as foreign guests, though we were happy to enjoy the authentic local cuisine as it was prepared. After dinner, we enjoyed a romantic moment with drinks in the beautiful tree house on the property, which added a unique and memorable touch to the evening. After a restful night of sleep, even with a thunderstorm outside, we woke to a traditional Indian breakfast accompanied by fresh hot breads. Other items such as omelettes and coffee were available upon request and were much appreciated. I truly appreciated the genuine hospitality and pride shown by the employees throughout our stay. I would happily consider staying at this hotel again on a future visit to Dalhousie. It offers excellent value for the area in terms of affordability, comfort, and sincere service."
