RIAD CHENGLI
9.4 (104 reviews)

RIAD CHENGLI ★★★

📍 Derb Benyaakoub, Chefchaouene

"RIAD CHENGLI is definitely beautiful with exotic Moroccan decorated and newly furnished accommodation. It is located just 2 minutes from the gate, Bab El Ain, as the entrance of Medina. It’s also a walkable distance to the nearby attractions, like Spanish Mosque and the castle in Main Square with many groceries and restaurants at the vicinity. The room is very clean and well equipped with shampoo and shower gel in bathroom, in particular the warmth pad in bed which is the most important in cold winter. There is a rooftop terrance with charming view of the whole city and Rif mountain. The host is a Chinese who could speak fluent English and took care of what we need during the stay. The breakfast is a really big portion with various breads, pastries, eggs, cheese, olive and even fried rice. Highly recommended."

"It was simply incredible! The hotel staff was incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere was welcoming and homely, and the breakfasts and dinner on the rooftop were excellent—everything was delicious! The bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet. All the music stopped at 11 a.m., leaving you with blissful peace and quiet for relaxation. I highly recommend this hotel! You can leave your luggage after checkout, and everything is very convenient."

📍 Place Bab Souk, Av. Sidi Abdelhamid, Chefchaouene

"The staff are kind and the place is nice. The room is a bit cold, but they provide three blankets, so it's not a problem when sleeping. The location is also good as it is close to the cluster of blue buildings. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the CTM bus stop. It is close to the busy downtown area, and there are restaurants and small shops nearby. The price is reasonable, so I am quite satisfied."

"Nice and welcoming riad. The breakfast is plentiful and good. It's a simple property and the room we were given was very small but for one night it was fine for us. Very kind staff. It is located in a convenient position for visiting the town."

📍 Route Nationale N° 2 PK 108+300, Commune Dardara, Chefchaouen

"Location: miles away from beautiful Chefchaouen, lost and nothing to see/do. So called swimming pool was empty, broken sunchairs... Room: terrible, old, dirty, rotten.... no heating!!! (March 2026 it was 10° Celsius outside = cold). Damp bed linen. Restaurant: not welcoming, creepy, stinky... Don't believe good reviews/nice pictures and avoid this place!"

RIAD CHENGLI ★★★
"An exceptional stay at this hotel! The welcome was warm from the moment we arrived, with professional, smiling, and always available staff. The room was impeccable, comfortable, and very well-equipped. The bedding was excellent, and the hotel's tranquility allowed for a perfect rest. The breakfast was varied and high-quality, with fresh products and attentive service. The hotel's facilities are modern, clean, and very well-maintained. The location is also ideal, close to the main points of interest. A wonderful experience from start to finish. I recommend this hotel without hesitation and will gladly return. Many thanks to Ayoub, he was excellent ❤️"

Taj Chefchaouen Luxury Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"A wonderful hotel, everything about it is great - impeccable cleanliness and a new (very beautiful) renovation; responsive, polite staff; and the best view of the city. The hotel is located in the medina, right by the wall, which is a huge plus. It has its own parking, but the descent into the medina starts directly from the hotel. Upon arrival, we were offered a free room upgrade, and we decided to extend our stay that very day. There are good breakfasts and a rooftop restaurant with European cuisine, where musicians sometimes perform. Room service is excellent. The room is well-equipped with a coffee machine, daily water replenishment, and very good toiletries in the bathroom. We would be happy to return to this wonderful place and will definitely recommend it to our friends."

Riad Nila ★★★★
"The Riad is in the blue city. All the Raids in blue city are not easy to go up with luggages. The place was well maintained, however I thought it was a little bit overpriced when compared to other Riad in Morocco."

"Hotel is cool, top of the blue city, great view to the city. Great sunset. But very expensive, it is not mariot or Hilton. Baggage carry on foot or for coins. Moracan breakfast, those no. Tooth brushes are offered to buy on the street. Black tea is not available. No noise isolation, too."

Hotel Casa Miguel ★★
"The room had no window and was dark. The staircase is very narrow and steep. It is quite high up, you have to climb hills and stairs to get there. Breakfast was fine, but served in a room/cave. The whole house is dark, of course it is February. The people at the riad are very friendly."

Dar Ba Sidi & Spa ★★★
"The hotel is located outside the city of Chefchaouen which does not allow you to dine in the city without using transport to get there. It has a nice garden and also a swimming pool which we didn't use though. The rooms, although large and quite secluded and clean, have nothing particular or typical, the bathroom is a little shabby. There is also a SPA which we did not visit. Dinner is a buffet rather rich especially in vegetables so it is ideal for a vegetarian, however breakfast is very poor especially due to the quality of the food, old and not very tasty croissants. It can be a discreet choice for a passing night"
