We can confirm that the property lived up to expectations, with impeccable cleanliness and the furnishings of the assigned room, named Piazza Venezia, new and well-appointed. "It’s hard to characterise Giardini Penelope as it is part hotel, part day spa, and part Air BnB - so it has many different strengths and a few frustrations. Firstly, the space itself is gorgeous. The ivy covered villa is stunning and the interiors are stylish but functional and a treat to look at. The rooms are tastefully done, with good space - especially the bathroom. The copper fittings and luxury wallpapers are really special. Comfortable bed and Nespresso machine is also really appreciated. The outdoor pool area is vast. There is a large warm pool and two smaller cold pools all done in an Etruscan style - and they’re really lovely. Perfect for tired muscles. You share the pools with day spa visitors and they close at 6.30pm. The property itself feels rural as it’s outside of Ciampino but the train is a five minute walk away and takes you direct to Rome in about 30 minutes. The breakfast is really incredible. It just keeps coming - dish after dish - the most amazing cured meats and cheese, yoghurts, fresh fruits, croissants, breads, eggs and fresh juices. This alone makes the stay worth it. The frustrating things are minor in the overall scheme of things but they are as follows: Parking is free but is in an unsealed field next to the villa - make sure you drop your luggage at the gate before you park. The villa is unattended at night so it can feel a little remote. We were perhaps the only guests on our first night and while that was fine - I wondered if it would feel a little spooky of you were a female traveller on your own. Perhaps an access card for the outside doors at night would make this feel more secure? Also the interior stair lights don’t come on when ascending to your room at night so that would definitely be good to change. Other than that - it’s a beautiful place and so nice to have a haven outside busy Rome."

"Nice view over there in the castle like property and beautiful environment for the tranquility in the village. Yet, it took me about two hours to reach there from the train station by walking (late arrival by giving the credit to the silly European airlines operation), and it costs me $35 euros equivalent to get out there to the train station by FREENOW (European Uber). All in all, nice place, bad transportation unless you have a car ready."

"This wonderful hotel was run by a kind owner who drove me to the hotel because I was unaware of online check-in and couldn't get into my room. (I had received an email about online check-in, but I didn't check it properly.) The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was well-equipped with amenities like a hair dryer and shampoo. There were also several types of bread and yogurt in the kitchen for breakfast. It's also very close to Ciampino Airport, making it a great choice for airport travelers. Thank you very much! 😊"

Hotel Louis II

"Hotel Louis II was our residence for four nights. Initially we were surprised that there was no 24hr front desk or staff at hand as we were late booking in. However, we rang the hotel and they made provision for us to pick up the key and left messages to make sure we could orientate to our room. The room was on the outside of the hotel. A large room with one double bed and two single beds. Air conditioning and a small TV. The beds were comfortable. In the morning we were able to speak to the lovely staff who then checked us in. The staff helped with travel tips. After a simple but delicious breakfast we set off on our travels around Rome. A big thank you to the staff at Hotel Louis."

The hotel's location is extremely convenient: it's within easy reach of Ciampino train station and the Ciampino Airport Shuttle Terminal is right outside, making the journey to Ciampino Airport very simple and stress-free. The studio apartment was clean, well-furnished, and very comfortable, perfect for a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to help and make everything easy. The property is very quiet, ideal for relaxing and enjoying your stay in complete tranquility. Furthermore, the location is excellent: there are shops nearby. Thanks to the metropolitan train, you can reach Rome in about 10 minutes, making it very convenient for exploring the city. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for comfort, kindness, and a strategic location!"
