"My second time to stay at this place. I can't fault it and think it's great value for money. Getting access proved more challenging than last time (when a real person was there to meet and greet!) . Make sure you have WhatsApp, and the number you used for the booking is connected to it. As a QR code is now sent to you to gain access. If you don't have WhatsApp/ a signal/ WiFi....🤔 who knows if you'll ever get in !🤣 Room was spotless, shower excellent with lots of hot water. Breakfast filling. I'd definitely go back here for a third visit."

"The hotel has a great location and working AC, but it feels like it got stuck somewhere between 1987 and a half-hearted attempt to update the place. After a long day we tried to find something to eat during the siesta. That’s basically impossible between 4 and 8 pm in this town. We literally had to negotiate our way to a bag of chips for the kid. Later that evening we ate at the hotel restaurant and ordered a fruit salad. What arrived was one lonely sliced apple on a plate. Not wrong, just kind of depressing. Breakfast the next morning was just as creative. Super limited. Definitely don’t come hungry. The rooms? Walls so thin you get a front row seat to your neighbors’ conversations and coughing. We also found someone else’s hair in the bathroom and there were way too few power outlets. Staff were friendly, but that doesn’t really save the experience. The hotel works if you just need a bed to sleep in — as long as you bring your own breakfast, earplugs and an extra socket or two."

"Can't say I had a good experience in this hotel thats an understatement..before your book, it closes Sunday and open again coming Wednesday so nobody is present in the hotel only you...they booked me in on full price knowing that services are closed no restaurant or bar/lounge was open entry was locked...i wasnt informed of this situation prior to travelling from Ireland from the hotel or booking party..no lighting at the pool area either ...no facilities for a fridge to store food or medicines..no staff at reception... why would a hotel close and charge full price for no services?...after that experience I won't be going there again and it's critical that I share my experience..."

"Our room was absolutely wonderful, and the best part was having fans in both the living room and sleeping area. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was great for us since we had a car, but there's also a bus stop right outside, and plenty of parking available! I really loved the hotel food; there was a great variety for both breakfast and dinner! All in all, a perfect hotel."

"We spent 6 days hiking from village to village, 2 nights we spent at Hotel De Tárbena, and I give the small inn the highest rating. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, with fantastic views of the village, the mountains and on a clear day the Mediterranean. The location is in the center of the old village, next to the church and a nice cafe. The owner, Juan, cooked wonder meals, accommodating for a vegetarian and gluten allergy. Juan is a gourmet chef and our best meals in the 10 days in Spain came at his table. Juan is also a wonderful raconteur and told us many interesting stories about local history and geography. He has great taste in music and I enjoyed sitting in the lobby listening."
