"We are from the West Coast and this was our 1st stay at Bushmans Rock. The photos does not do it justice. Honestly this lodge is breathtakingly beautiful and so well cared for by friendly staff and security. I had to prep for a show and the chef prepared all my food to specifics and they even let me practise my intro walk in their venue. This is one place who I could ask for all the help I needed to prep and they assisted with the utmost friendliness. We loved our stay and wished we could stay longer. An absolute recommendation to families with kids as they have a secured and well equipped play area. The restaurants food was amazing and our room just perfect. Thank you for making this a memorable stay and our go-to place for future trips to Pta."

"We organized a three-day hybrid event at the Blades for 120 people. Since the first interaction with Evelyn, the Event Manager, it has been a pleasure to work with the staff of this amazing hotel. Venue, food, technical support everything was made to please all the attendants and alleviate the organizer's stress. Bedrooms are so comfortable and food is so good. I will come back even just to relax in this quiet place."

"We stayed at this hotel on 6 April 2026 for one night and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Firstly, the air conditioning in the room did not work at all. The room felt like an oven, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay in, especially after a long day of travelling. To make matters worse, the sliding door could not open, so there was no ventilation whatsoever. The television was not working, and there was no fridge in the room, which is something you would reasonably expect from a hotel. When we asked for ice, we were told we would have to pay R30 just for an ice bucket – unbelievable, considering the R1 678 we paid for the one-night stay. Another issue was that there was no hot water because the geysers in our block was off. This meant we could not even shower. Maintenance came to the room and confirmed all the faults, so these were clearly known issues. Reception then offered to move us to another room, but by that time it was too late – my son had already fallen asleep on the bed without being able to shower after a long day. Overall, this was a horrible experience and extremely disappointing. The room was clearly not properly checked or maintained before guests arrived. We will never book with this hotel again and would strongly advise others to reconsider before staying here."

"Perfectly located in the Dinokeng Reserve, easy to get to various parts of reserve for game drives. Small lodge but peaceful, and good facilities. Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Would happily go back again"
