"The room is old and could use a renovation. The surroundings are okay, but the moment you enter the room, you're greeted by a foul odor you can't quite pinpoint, and I have no idea where it came from. When I was checking out this morning, I discovered two dried-up pieces of feces on the corners of the quilt that had been pressed under my feet and tucked under the bed. This was a masterpiece left by the previous guest and a major mistake by the housekeeping staff, who apparently didn't even change the quilt. Otherwise, such a magnificent piece of work wouldn't have gone unnoticed. From the moment I discovered the feces, everything I see looks like feces. I feel like I've been eating feces all day. So, no matter how beautiful a hotel's photos are, they can't compare to the care and dedication put into running it."

"We used our RCI timeshare to stay at Villa L'Auberge. It's a fabulous location in the heart of Del Mar. Our one-bedroom condo is very clean, comfortable and quaint with an ocean view. The added feature, we had full access to L'Auberge Del Mar hotel. The housekeeping staff [5-star] took great care throughout the week to ensure you were comfortable and refreshed our condo when needed. Just one note, the train does run close to the resort, but it didn't bother us."
