Hotels in Merchiston, Edinburgh

It is a great hotel, comfy bed, good shower and good breakfast. But rooms are stuffy due to no AC and windows only open a little. However, that is not uncommon in Edinburgh and it was stated before I booked the room. They do provide a fan for each room.

We really enjoyed time in Menzes Guest House. Early check -in was possible. Room was nice and cozy. Comunication with owner was great. We recommend it.

Hotel is in great location. A stone throw away from Waverley train station. Staff were very friendly. WiFi is only available for 30 mins free each day and then you have to pay which for paying nearly £100 for one night seems cheeky. I decided to then pay for it for it to keep cutting out every few minutes. When I went to use the body wash/shampoo, it was mainly just water water but the cleaning staff were very quick to come and fix it.

An absolutely wonderful experience! The hotel's location and unbeatable views made our day in Edinburgh so enjoyable. It's just a five-minute walk from the hotel to Calton Hill, and getting to the Old Town, Victoria Street (Rainbow Street), and the Royal Mile was incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is a historic landmark; I even went to see room 552, with its beautifully painted purple door, where J.K. Rowling found a quiet retreat amidst the bustling city to complete her seventh book.

1. The location is excellent, like living on the Bund in Shanghai. Prince Street, where it's located, is known as the world's most beautiful street (a slight exaggeration, but it's truly beautiful), making it ideal for CityWalk. 2. The classic tomb-view rooms offer a picturesque view of the ancient tombs, which is quite captivating if you're not bothered. 3. The rooms are quite large, with kitchens and living rooms. 4. There's a laundry room. 5. Parking is available at a public lot over 500 meters away. You'll need to reserve it online, but you can ask the front desk for a discount code.

Location is absolutely great, the hotel is right next to st.james quarter shopping center and across Edinburgh waverly station. By 5-15 minutes walk you can access many of the tourist which is very convenience. Also the lobby is well decorated and has a great view of old town. Rooms were clean and sizing is also OK for my family.

Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable.
