"Fantastic Family Stay – Even Better Than We Remembered! We spent 5 wonderful nights at Iririki Island Resort and absolutely loved our time there. Although we went into town for lunch and dinner a few times, we mostly stayed on the island and soaked in the beautiful surroundings. The kayaking and snorkeling were a highlight, especially thanks to Etella and Teraa—these two went above and beyond to look after our family and made the experience memorable. The ocean view villa was spacious, airy, and perfect for watching the fish swim right by our deck. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included halal chicken options, which we really appreciated. The staff catered to our dietary needs and made sure alcohol was left out, which meant we could enjoy every meal without worry. Only downside: they didn’t accept Amex and charged a 3% surcharge on Visa/MasterCard, which, combined with international bank fees, added up. Although we had a discount from Trip.com, we couldn’t really take advantage of it due to these charges. Next time, we’ll prepay online instead of using the “pay at hotel” option. This was our second visit to Port Vila after 13 years, and both the city and Iririki were just as magical as we remembered. A special shoutout to Taste of India in town—absolutely fantastic food! Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking to unwind in paradise."

"The room was very clean, but there were bugs outside, so remember to keep the windows closed. The water heater needs to be adjusted manually, otherwise, the default temperature won't be hot enough. There's no air conditioning downstairs, so it gets quite stuffy, but it's better upstairs with AC. Also, be aware that the water left out is rainwater and not safe for drinking."

"The location was good and close to the main part of the town a sort 7 minute ride by car. Unfortunately the accommodation was not as the pictures had shown on their website, the rooms and decor were very tired looking and dated, the bathroom and toilet were run down and needed a refurbishment. The gym could only be accessed though a construction site and the 13 pools that were advertised on their resort app were no where to be found, I would not recommend staying at this resort."

"I’ve just been reading some other reviews before I began and I’m struggling to understand some of the negative comments. Coco Beach was on our short list because it very clearly advertises as Adults Only. Travelling in off season meant the resort was at low capacity which was incredibly peaceful for those of us there to unwind and relax which is precisely what we were able to do over 7 glorious days. This is an older style resort and based on our research - exactly what we expected. No organised activities, No Day Spa, No noise, Nothing nearby except another beach. Fresh simple food done well. Cold drinks and unassuming hosts who will do what they can to assist you - when you are polite. Fresh, clean bures with old style coral walls in the bathrooms. We chose a room with air-con due to the time of year. Rooms are serviced daily. Beds are comfy and linen is fresh and crisp although some pillows could do with an update. Our days were spent between the open air waterfront restaurant, which could do with some fans, loungers under a tree on the beach, the pool and the sea. Entire grounds are immaculate beautiful tropical gardens and swept daily. Incredible swimming at all tides due to a canal through the reef to allow boat access and plentiful sea life on and around the reef when snorkelling. We took our own gear because it was to be a main activity of our holiday and this wasn’t our first island trip. You never get decent gear in resorts. We took the water taxi to town one day and the trip on the bay was a little tour in itself. Even detoured to ferry some local school kids across the inlet on the way home. Another day we arranged a local bus driver to take us to Blue Lagoon (where we also snorkelled) and returned via 83 Islands Rum Distillery before lunch in town with our driver at his favourite ramen noodle joint. Picked up some snacks and drinks at the supermarket and that was us. Every FAQ in TA forums will tell you to do this. Back to the resort for the rest of our stay. It has been my experience that it is rare anywhere in the South Pacific Islands to stay at a unique small, peaceful resort that your entire stay will go off without a hitch. Nothing drastic happened and any glitches were dealt with smoothly and effectively. Remember that you are on Island Time and there is absolutely nothing you can or should want to do about it if your hosts are taking care of you. Go with what you DO have not complain about what you don’t. No-one should choose a place like this if they want to be amused. Chill out, relax and enjoy the magnificent sunsets. Or get up early just to sit on the dock and watch a cruise ship come in. Coco Beach truly allowed us to switch off, wind down and re-connect. Thanks to H and the team for your hospitality. "Positives - the air conditioner worked well and the pool was kept clean. "Casino" is a loose term, 20 old pokies machines in the foyer was the only thing happening there so don't go expecting anything more. No food or drink available at the 'resort', and no fridges in the room is poor. TV in room has 2 channels - one which can't be viewed. Communication around the airport bus transfer wasn't great either."

"This isn't exclusive to this hotel, but the road leading up to it is full of potholes, and just driving back and forth to the city center in a rental car was exhausting. The hotel's main building is incredibly grand, and that's what attracted me to book it. I was given a room on the first floor, and the view was just so-so. The humidity was awful; even with the air conditioning on, the sheets felt clammy. I thought the price was quite high."
