"From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had the most breathtaking sea view. Watching the sunsets from our balcony every evening was pure magic. The room was impeccably cleaned every day, and every detail made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to Natalia and Kostas, who are exceptional hosts. Their warmth, kindness, and personal attention to every guest make this place truly special. On my birthday, they surprised me with a bottle of wine and their thoughtful wishes, which made the day even more memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend Elounda Heights to anyone visiting Crete. It is a place filled with warmth, hospitality, and beautiful memories. We will definitely be back!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean, with a pleasant and spacious terrace. You are warmly welcomed by the two brothers, and the father keeps an eye on everything, as well as the staff, who are all very friendly. The food is delicious with a wide variety, and the location is excellent — everything is close by."

"Elounda is such a luxurious experience. The service is impeccable. The suite was sprawling and so well-equipped. We had our own private gym, sauna and steam room in our villa. The pool and hot tub had an incredible dreamy view. The area was beautiful with a quaint adorable town on the water where we found everyone we spoke to very friendly and helpful. Definitely will return!"

"From the moment we arrived , we were greeted by the lovely Kostas . A warm , friendly welcome. He took us to our room that had a lovely spacious balcony with a view of Elounda bay . This hotel has wonderful staff including the amazing, very hardworking Sophia who seems to be everywhere . The Standard rooms are clean , however they are needing an upgrade . The Superior rooms have been done and are beautiful . Nothing can beat the location of this hotel, across the road , down the steps and on to the most beautiful bay ."

"We stayed for 3 nights as a ‘relax’ at the end of our holiday in Crete. The staff are wonderful and location was perfect for exploring Elounda. Only negative I would say is the air-con that was temperamental and only in kitchen so bedroom was very hot at night. Plenty of very comfortable loungers infront of the rooms at the front. Pool with swim up was a bonus. Kitchen would be limited if trying to self cater but with so many great restaurants around why would you. Probably the best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel anywhere around the world!"

"What a truly wonderful experience! I write this review while appreciating the most beautiful view from the pool. Elounda Heights is by far the most friendly welcoming hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It’s run by a lovely family with fabulous staff who go out of their way to make your holiday special and memorable. Amazing home made jams and treats kick off a delicious freshly prepared breakfast served to table. Thank you Cleo for the delicious rice pudding we’ll be back for more of that for sure! Lunch at the pool bar great too especially the Greek Club. Sun beds plentiful surrounding a peaceful and relaxing pool area. We’re staying in a Studio which is large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It’s a truly special place impeccably run with home from home touches. Beautiful grounds beautiful views and one we will return to, hopefully very soon. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday."

"We like this hotel very much. We love Elounda anyway, and the hotel made our stay even more enjoyable. Lovely welcome, friendly staff (Maria and Filo in the restaurant were especially memorable) and the food and beverages - yes, more on the expensive side of things, but on the flip side, there was absolutely no rowdy / boozy culture here - were what you would expect for a hotel of this standard. The absolute best bit is that it always felt peaceful and quiet for such a large hotel whilst the beach, bathing area and water sports are just great. Looking forward to more stays here."

"I wanted to share my positive experience during a recent stay with my granddaughter Ada.  Yannis was incredibly helpful and friendly upon our arrival. Ada had hurt her thumb, and Yannis was very kind in assisting with that. In fact, we found all the hotel staff to be lovely and always ready to help. We also really appreciated the nice hotel and the good choice of food available at the jungle bar, which was nicely presented. Our room was spotlessly clean and the hotel overall felt very child-friendly. We had a very happy and enjoyable time and would highly recommend your hotel as a great place to stay. I am already planning to return in the future. Belinda"

"We went on a 10 day break - our first holiday with no children since our honeymoon 32 years ago! And what a place to go. From the minute you arrive the welcome is warm from the lovely staff on Reception. We spoke to Maria on arrival, who along with the rest of the front of house staff were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Little touches with mattered - for example we had one of the ladies who service the room leave some towels on our bed in the shape of a heart with some flowers. Lovely touch. The properties are amazing, beautifully done out, we had a kitchen, fridge, washing machine and fridge freezer, a large sofa, big TV which we logged into our Netflix and Amazon accounts, and a dining room table. Outside a beautiful view - sun beds, and outside dining too. A lovely infinity pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and mini-gym with stunning views. The weather was beautiful, around 25 degrees C and clear blue skies. The only thing I would say is for someone like me with poor circulation the pool was a tad chilly, we plumped for it to be heated the last few days, but it was an extra 90 Euros a day. But worth it. Then there is the breakfast - you won't be disappointed, there is so much choice, English, Continental, Greek plus so much more. Salmon for breakfast every day! And the coffee is amazing, even decaffeinated for me. There was even Prosecco every other day! The staff. First class. Not only in their service, but the way they engage with you and turn eating a meal into an event. Wonderful people, Sofia and her team, I can't name them all, or remember all their names, but Manolis (and his sister!), Vitalis and Michalis, the young guy with them (I forgot your name!) as well as the guy on the bar (sorry forgot your name!) were a credit and a joy to spend time with, all of them. To all of you, thank you for making our holiday even more special! Be prepared on a Thursday night after dinner for some traditional Greek dancing, you have to join in, followed by a jump in the pool fully clothed with Vitalis. He will persuade you! Well, my wife, not me! Σας ευχαριστώ όλους. Neil and Teresa."

Elounda Infinity Exclusive Resort & Spa - Adults Only ★★★★★
"We stayed here for 4 nights. I had booked a sea view room, but they said it was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi was nice and relaxing, the sea view was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. The property is located in a remote and peaceful part of the island. It has excellent internet access and a decent outdoor gym. Since it is right by the sea, you can enjoy walking or running along the coast to the nearest town, Mavrikianon. One important thing to mention is that the property does not have direct access to the sea. To swim, you need to go to either Plaka Beach, which requires a minimum spend of €40 per person to use the sunbeds, or to Mavrikianon Beach, which is much more affordable at €5 per person for the entire day. Mavrikianon Beach is very pleasant and close to markets where you can buy drinks. There are also some good food and drink spots nearby, such as Rudi’s Bar, a British-style pub, and Porto Rino, which serves great pizzas. Make sure to skip Nico’s Fish Tavern and try the Ferryman instead — you won’t regret it. What we found most frustrating was the lack of mosquito screens on the windows. Sleeping with the windows open was not really an option, even though the natural breeze was wonderful. Our room had air conditioning, but we tend to get sick sleeping with it on. There was a ceiling fan as well, but it is a shame to miss out on the fresh air simply because of a missing screen. The breakfast was also a disappointment. There were very few options, the coffee was not good, and the omelettes were overcooked. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the parking system. You have to check in and out with security every time, which felt excessive and time-consuming. It gave the impression of entering a high-security zone, not a relaxing holiday resort. Overall, it was a good experience with some nice features, but for the price, it lacks comfort and convenience in a few key areas. ."

"What a lovely hotel with such friendly staff, they couldn't do enough for us! We stayed here as we had a family wedding in Elounda, the hotel was in a great location with the sea front just across the road. The rooms were spacious - kingsize bed plus a sofa bed for our 6 year old which was very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaners were so kind and greeted our daughter every morning. We had Breakfast included, there were lots of options to choose from and the pancakes are a great addition especially for kids. We were given some fantastic local recommendations for places to visit/eat by the staff and nothing was too much trouble- the only thing that i didnt get to do was have a massage treatment because there was issue with the room at the hotel (although they did offer to transport me to a near hotel free of charge in order to have the treatment). The pool is lovely and you get towels given to you to use which is a nice touch, maybe some more loungers would be good as it can get busy with 'all inclusive' guests but we just left our stuff on the side and had a swim. Would definitely stay here again, ευχαριστούμε πολύ!"

Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort, Six Senses Spa ★★★★★
"Couldn't find many recent reviews on Porto Elounda so I thought I'd try and help out a little. It seems as though the hotel has increased listings with major UK tour operators for the 2025 season so the May half term has seen an increase in British guests. The setting is beautiful on Mirabello Bay and the restaurants all look out onto the shimmering expanse of blue. The hotel is positioned on a relatively steep hill but the resort has many golf buggies whizzing around if you're struggling with mobility. The rooms are spacious and the addition of private pools is a bonus for families. We stayed in the spa wing of the resort and the interiors are a little dated. They've tried to upweight the offering and modernise with ipads in the rooms which allow restaurant bookings. Bizarrely. they still have dvd players in the rooms. The maid service is very thorough and you get regular room tidying which is a big bonus. I would say that this resort caters for very young children nicely. For those with slightly older children like ours there is very little to do. There is no entertainment on offer within the resort and the focus is very much on dining. Elies beach bar is a lovely set up but sometimes the service let it down during lunch servings. The best part of the visit was the trips to the neighbouring restaurants on a boat journey. This was really spectacular at night and added a splash of luxury feel to it. My final sentiments are about cost. The bar prices are incredibly expensive which is prohibitive for some. €16 for an Aperol is unrealistic. If this is the pricing model then fine but at least add a Happy hour into it to stop the pool staff having to ask guests to purchase drinks. A lovely location but work to be done on becoming a true 5* resort."

Elounda Akti Olous (Adults Only) ★★★★
"This was our first time staying in Elounda and Akti olous. The holiday got off to a brilliant start as we were upgraded to a junior suite with spectacular views! The room was comfortable clean, with good air conditioning kettle/coffee machine iron with ironing board and toiletries to use. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the massive balcony, which was just heaven. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and we ate it whilst sitting out by the sea, the staff are all pleasant and hard working and a special shout out to the barman who worked in the Sky bar as he made the best cocktails, we had a few cocktails at the bar before heading out again the views are spectacular! We spent a few afternoons relaxing on a lounger on the small beach area belonging to the hotel (the pool area seemed nice but we were never getting a lounger there unless up at the crack of dawn) which to be honest did not bother us. There is also a bar/restaurant next door, and you can use their loungers if you buy a drink. Akti olous is a small quieter hotel with a mainly older clientele which suited us fine it is a very pleasant walk in to Elounda with lots of restaurants and tavernas on the way, we had a lovely stay and I would definately return."
