"My group stayed at Guest House Izari during our December trip and it was a good choice. The house is spacious and cozy. The heater downstairs is nice to sit at after coming in from the snow. It’s about a 15-20 min walk from the station, and even shorter by bus. Definitely plan for the bus if you have big bags. We mixed up the check-in date, but Brian was understanding and even let us check in early on our actual start date. Note that check in is at the IZARI Village building, not the guest house"

"There are three rooms in total. The living environment is nice, but the soundproofing isn't very good; other guests making a lot of noise going up and down the stairs. The JR line is right outside, so the noise level is also quite high. There are three shared toilets and one shared bathroom. Going to New Chitose Airport in the morning isn't very convenient. It's about a 5-minute walk from the JR station, but there are no direct trains to the airport in the morning. You have to transfer to the airport express at Chitose Station or Chitose-Minami Station."

"I stayed here for the first night after disembarking from the ferry in Tomakomai during a tour. The room and atmosphere are typical of a business hotel, but the unit bath was clean and I had a very comfortable stay. The bento-style breakfast (1,000 yen), coffee, and roasted green tea were all delicious. Although Eniwa Station is right in front of the hotel, there are no restaurants nearby, so I think it's better to check in after having dinner."
