Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden

"When we checked in, the staff were very polite and professional. Of course they recommended their restaurant and advised us that it opens at 17:00. When it came to dinner time, the restaurant was fairly empty but the staff kept asking us “do you have a reservation”, as if we had walked in to a busy restaurant in the middle of Helsinki on a Friday. Because in that case, of course you would need a reservation. Turns out, they were entirely booked out, unless we wanted to pay the $20 for the “Jazz Show” which was no where near starting. Our hopes were very low for breakfast and this hotel managed to go lower. The coffee machine appeared to be “in cleaning mode”, but was actually broken, with no sign. The drip filtered coffee was good, but they ran out of that within 10 minutes. The bread was all pre cut, and therefore stale. It had clearly been sitting in the open air for quite some time. We were expected to provide a “breakfast ticket”, but we were not given one. I get the impression that the management of this establishment are all about “getting the customers in” but failing to meet the minimum standards. We come to Helsinki region a lot and this was our first time in Espoo. It wasn’t a good one."

"We had a short sweet stay for one night at Noli Studios. The location is a bit far from yhe conveniences of the center of the city, but I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. We found a nearby walking/biking path along the coast, and some birdwatching areas as well. It really felt homey and so wonderful for relaxing and regrounding in the sounds and feel of nature! The complex is up to date, convenient in most ways, though checkin process as a bit long and the doors were not clearly marked for using the key cards for access.. Over all a lovely smooth stay for us, we would probably stay again of the opportunity came!"

"The hotel has changed its name. It is located next to the station, very close to the city, with a rich breakfast. It is not far from the company, only about ten minutes' walk, and the transportation is very convenient."

"My mom and I have stayed for 3 nights. This is a very nice hotel, small room but everything you need (except coffee tray) well sound proofed, comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly, helpful and patient. Breakfast is amazing, lots of plant based options and a range of healthy and sweet treats. Best variety of vegan breakfast options I have ever had. In a busy spot but bus stop nearby. I can highly recommend. Good value."
