Esplanade Hotel Fremantle
"Our room was quite big. It comes with a queen and single bed. There's a balcony but there's no view. The hotel location is very good You can walk to Fremantle Market in less than 5 mins. You can walk to Kailis Fishmarket Cafe or Cicerello's within 5 mins. It is also very convenient if you are going to Rottnest Island because you can walk to the boarding place near the E Shed Market without having to look for a parking there which is very limited. Well the negative side is parking at the hotel is not free. It is AUD30.00 for hotel guests with multiple entries from 12pm till 12pm the following day."
YHA Fremantle Prison
"The dorm is transformed from a prison, it is super nice. Front desk helps me upgrade the room as well because now it is a slack season. Overall experience is good, but the bathroom is a bit less, i cant imagine if the dorm is full of crowds with sharing just few bathrooms. 😂"

"Lovely new hotel, very nicely appointed rooms, lovely bathrooms, no shower screens which is great! Only issue is some noisy disco loud music until midnight in an adjoining street, hopefully they will silence it."

"The two-bedroom suite was impeccably clean and incredibly spacious. It came with two bathrooms, both featuring convenient wet and dry separation, which was incredibly practical. What truly made it special was the direct oceanfront view of the yacht marina right outside the windows and living room – absolutely fantastic!"

"It's a simple single room with only a fan in the room. Fortunately, the fan is enough in this season. The bathroom is shared. There is also a welcome wine card when you check in. It's a good experience for a short night."

"This is simply a wonderful location for a Fremantle stay. The managers could not have done more to accommodate us (and our extra needs). The breakfast bar is a delightful way to start the day in the foyer dining/lounge area which is also a great spot for quiet time at any time of the day. This hotel is well designed and we appreciated the quality bathroom products. Can’t recommend it highly enough - it was delightful and right amongst all-things Fremantle…"

"The train station and the Rottnest ferry terminal are very close. The ferry terminal was a five-minute walk away. Market Street is also close by, and there's a Coles and 7-Eleven nearby, which was convenient, and there were plenty of places to eat. It's also a bit far from the main street, so it's quiet, which was nice. The staff were mostly friendly, but some were a bit blunt. Overall, don't expect hotel-like service. The shower was a sunflower-style showerhead that only came from the ceiling, which was quite inconvenient. Still, the hotel had plenty of amenities, so I was able to have a quick breakfast, the room was clean, and they even let me store my luggage. Overall, it was very good."

"Excellent room in an excellent location. Staff are friendly and professional. Continental Breakfast was fabulous. Just that the bathroom basin in our room was clogged during our stay. It was only an overnight stay so we didn’t ask for rectification. It was otherwise a perfect experience"

"After staying here since October 2024, I can honestly that this little hostel is a hidden gem of a place to stay. It’s a brilliant hostel to make friends in, their open plan space makes it really easy to get involved with people. The vibes are chilled during the day, with multiple things to do - being in the centre of Fremantle you are a 5 minute walk away from Bathers Beach, which on its day is a glorious sun trap with a pub right next to it. You’re also in walking distance of some great local brewery’s such as Gage Roads and Little Creatures. Next, the train station and bus station are also a 5 minute walk away giving you fantastic access all over Perth. Overall, it feels like home away from home."
