Lingshui Hotels with Gym

This is my second time back at Kimpton Shimei Bay within six months. Honestly, as a hotel in Hainan, this is truly the first one that has ever made me want to make a special trip back twice in half a year 🌊 Having stayed at countless cookie-cutter mega-resorts in Hainan, I’ve grown to prefer these boutique, ”small yet refined” hidden gems. There are no bustling crowds, no waiting in line for elevators or meals, and the entire pace of the vacation slows right down. It’s the ultimate spot for young people looking to truly unplug and unwind in peace. The hotel’s aesthetic is on point from start to finish. From the lobby and public areas to the infinity pool and ocean-view terrace—even the lighting and shadows in the hallways are so textured and chic—every snap is Instagram-worthy 📸 You don't need to hunt down popular photo spots; just strolling around and clicking the shutter yields vacation shots brimming with atmosphere. For photo lovers, this is a massive bonus. I have to give a special shoutout to our host, Steven! 👍 The service was attentive yet perfectly understated. From the pre-arrival communication to various minor requests during our stay, responses were lightning-fast. He anticipated so many details in advance that we didn't have to worry about a thing. He never disrupted our holiday flow, yet always appeared right when we needed him. That delicate balance of service was just nailed to perfection. What really got to me, though, was the attention to detail. The in-room amenities and bedding are of top-notch quality, and you can feel the thoughtfulness behind so many subtle designs and small objects. It’s not the kind of resort vibe built on grand, massive facilities; instead, it tucks ”exquisiteness” into every single experience, truly perfecting the art of the boutique stay. Among all the hotels in Hainan, it might not be the most famous or the largest in scale, but it's the kind of place that wins you over completely the moment you stay. Low-key, textured, with stellar service, it effortlessly maximizes that relaxed, effortless holiday state of mind. I genuinely recommend this to anyone who wants to skip the crowds and just find a cozy spot to lie back and watch the ocean. Next time I'm in Lingshui, I will definitely choose to stay here again ✨

This is our fourth time in Lingshui, and this time we chose the Pool-Access Twin Room at Hotel Indigo. Traveling as a family, this room type is absolutely perfect for water-loving families. Step right out of the room and you're at the pool. The circulating water is exceptionally clean, and the surrounding greenery offers great privacy and blocks the wind (even when it's windy outside, you can't feel it inside, and night swimming is very cozy). Behind the hotel is a fine white sand beach, featuring lush greenery and grassy lawns in between that make for fantastic photos. Right next door is the Westin. Unlike the Westin's beach, Indigo's beach is completely free of commercial activities—no little tourist trains, no hawkers pushing jet skis. It's very quiet and comfortable, and the beach loungers are free of charge. Staff members even provide complimentary blankets. As soon as my hotel booking was confirmed, a butler added me on WeChat. You could reach out to her for anything. She checked in advance about the number of guests, including adults and children, and thoughtfully prepared amenities based on guest preferences. There were exclusive supplies for kids, and brand-new flip-flops in the room for trips to the beach. Overall, communication was smooth, and her tone was so gentle and pleasant. At check-in, the kids were given beach sand-play toys that they could keep. The minibar and snack bar were also complimentary for the first round. The facilities are very new, and there are even Type-C charging ports by the bedside. At breakfast, hand-brewed fresh coffee is proactively offered. The kids' club is quite interesting, featuring various novel snacks that the kids loved. The only area for improvement is perhaps the limited variety (likely to avoid waste since occupancy wasn't at peak). The hotel has four pools: an infinity pool, a kids' pool, a very fun lazy river where you can spot huge snails on the walls, and the direct-access pool at our room. Both in the corridors and outdoors, there are fascinating handcrafted artworks, water features, precious plants, and well-staggered walkways. The design sense is simply top-notch. To sum it up: considering the price, overall experience, facilities, and service, this hotel offers incredible value for money. Our recent stay at the Raffles Clearwater Bay certainly didn't disappoint. The hotel has a strong Southeast Asian vibe with its wooden corridors, rattan lighting, and lush layers of tropical plants. It’s quiet and uncrowded—sun loungers on the beach are easy to come by, and the pool isn't packed either. A massive shoutout to the breakfast, easily the best hotel breakfast we had during our 9 days in Hainan. Manager Darryl reached out in advance as always and got our room sorted, and the smooth room upgrade was fantastic. Throughout our stay, dining and transportation arrangements were all handled with great care, and he constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable. With gorgeous views, few crowds, and consistent service, we'll definitely choose to come back during the off-season and look him up again.

The front desk staff, especially the 'mermaid' lady, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable. It's not far from Chiling Resort, where you can go mudflating on the rocky beach. During low tide, you can bring a small bucket to catch crabs and collect shells, and also enjoy the 'Orange Sea' sunset. The whole place has a wonderful fishing village vibe, perfect for a vacation.

We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day getaway, and this was my first stay at Capella, which left a fantastic impression. I'm already looking forward to checking out the soon-to-open Capella Nanjing next. First, the service: Blacky, our Cultural & Travel Ambassador, made our stay incredibly warm. From daily chats to handling our requests, messages were always answered instantly, morning or night. Blacky patiently introduced and deeply recommended various explorations and special activities, making our itinerary rich and fun. They were always eager to help without being intrusive, and this genuine warmth created unforgettable holiday memories. At Silk Road for breakfast, the restaurant manager enthusiastically introduced us to a tamarind latte, a local specialty. Even if it might not be a standard menu item, their eagerness to share local cuisine and hotel specialties, and to create surprises for guests, deeply touched me. The special blend was perfectly balanced with sweet and sour notes and excellently presented. These unexpected delights made for precious holiday experiences. Regarding the most important aspect of a holiday – the accommodation experience – the bedding quality was superb. After staying at numerous major brands for business travel, Capella Tufu Bay, Hainan's bedding comfort is one of the best, absolutely worth experiencing. As a resort hotel, it was pitch dark when the curtains were closed, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing us to easily sleep until we woke up naturally and still make it to breakfast before 11 am. The hotel grounds are extensive. While I'm no architecture expert, I adore plants. The landscaping choices and arrangements are exceptionally well-thought-out. Compared to most hotels with limited, often dense plant varieties, Capella Tufu Bay, Hainan features everything from high-reaching traveler's palms and regular palms, to mid-level broadleaf shrubs, and various ferns at ground level, all arranged in a naturally staggered way. We could call for a buggy anytime, anywhere on the grounds, but I preferred to stroll through this private, secluded garden, enjoying both shade from direct sunlight and the fragrant aroma of plants. The main pool is open until 10 PM, allowing for plenty of water play even after the hottest part of the day. Paddleboards and magic carpets were freely available and a hit with the kids. The heated pool is a 25-meter standard lap pool, and the gym is fully equipped with cardio and strength training machines, plus a ping-pong table and tennis courts – more than enough options for a holiday. My favorite part was the complimentary access to the dry sauna, steam room, massage pool, and snow room at the spa. It was a wonderful experience; my skin felt much smoother after alternating between hot and cold. For dining, the fruit Danish at Silk Road's breakfast is a must-try. Their custard cream is silky smooth and not overly sweet – I want the recipe! I also recommend ordering a bowl of Yi Mein noodles with wontons and adding a generous scoop of 'zaopocu' (a local sour vinegar) to create your own 'zaopocu' wonton noodles – everyone should give it a try! Sabai Sabai, the Thai restaurant, has excellent online reviews and was generally good. Their peanut sauce is delicious, but a word of caution: the curry beef ribs curry contains a significant amount of peanuts and has a very strong peanut base, which is quite unusual. If you're not a fan, I suggest choosing other curry options like chicken curry or crab curry. We opted for the basic room type this time, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. The spacious nearly 90-square-meter interior, convenient buggy service around the resort, extensive activity schedule, and consistently meticulous hospitality meant that, apart from potential differences in room views and amenities based on booking, there was essentially no sense of a 'basic room' compromise. The baseline quality is exceptionally high. I'm really looking forward to experiencing their villa suites when I visit next year.

The hotel grounds exude a strong tropical vibe, with tall coconut trees and vibrant tropical greenery lining both sides of the paths. Strolling along the smooth walkways offers a continuous panorama of a soothing island landscape. You can walk directly to the hotel's exclusive, extra-long private beach, where the entire coastline offers an open, unobstructed view. The crystal-clear sea, combined with the blue sky, white clouds, and distant mountains, creates a breathtaking scene. The beach is uncrowded, so you don't have to jostle with people. You can quietly wade in the waves, take photos, and gaze at the sea, feeling completely at ease and relaxed.

The Wyndham Lingshui Clear Water Bay Resort, despite being open for ten years, still offers a very good overall stay experience even though some facilities show their age. Its location is outstanding, making it incredibly convenient for self-driving to various attractions in Lingshui with short commute times. The biggest highlight of the hotel is that your room card grants access to the back garden. The garden boasts beautiful landscaping and features a swimming pool. Walking through the garden leads directly to the beach, where the rocky shore is perfect for kids to go crabbing, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. To be objective, there are a couple of downsides: The hotel has a semi-open design, with the lobby entrance wide open, which means it doesn't feel cool enough when you enter during the summer. The guest room corridors are also open-air, making them a bit stuffy and hot around midday. The buffet breakfast selection is somewhat limited; it would be even more perfect if they could expand the variety and improve the quality of the dishes. Overall, it's ideal for family vacations, especially if you're traveling by car. The private beach and garden are significant bonuses.

The hotel has a fantastic location, not far from Wuzhizhou Island (Fenjiezhou Island), making it very convenient for going back and forth to the attractions. The room facilities are well-maintained, and the balcony is huge—it's so relaxing to just sit there and enjoy the sea breeze. Housekeeping is spotless, and the quality of the toiletries provided is quite high. There are multiple swimming zones, and the adult pool is very quiet. The buffet breakfast is served until 11:00 AM, so you don't have to worry about missing it if you want to sleep in. The resort grounds are expansive, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Free parking is a huge plus for those driving themselves, offering great value for money overall.

This is a very nice hotel. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bedding and pillows just right. There was also a great balcony., I would have liked a relaxing chair on there, but the furniture was okay. The service is excellent, the people are very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool is nice and clean, the yard is very pretty. The gym is a bit outdated and could do with a makeover and a location other than the dark cellar. Nearby is a pretty beach, a lovely park and an entertaining mall. If you take one of the siden street, you’ll find local shops. There is a bit of noise coming from the streets at night, but if you close the doors, it’s not too much of a bother and stops around 12:00 PM. Airconditioning is working really well. Had a great time, will visit again!

The room is big, very clean and tidy, the boss is very enthusiastic, the environment is very good, there is a commercial street nearby, it is very convenient to eat and drink, it takes less than ten minutes to walk to the beach, and there is a swimming pool downstairs. This weather is very suitable for playing in the water. If I didn't have to go back to work, I would be reluctant to leave. Hahahaha. Not bad. Recommended
