I had planned to go directly to Lingshui Railway Station and then to the airport to leave the island, but the flight time was changed and delayed by several hours, which disrupted my schedule. It was also inconvenient to eat in Qingshui Bay, so I brought my luggage to the new village and thought of leaving my luggage at the boss's place so that I could eat and play at the door. The AC works great, so I slept soundly until I naturally woke up. The location is super convenient, right in town with plenty of Hainanese specialty foods just outside the door. Next to the village post office, there's a small shop that sells pickled vegetables (water spinach + chives) from morning to noon for only 5 yuan – cheap and appetizing! The late-night snack place across from the market also serves authentic, affordable, and delicious food; the noodle soup is 8 yuan, 10 yuan with an egg. The fried noodles are tasty too. There are many people at the Xinjiang BBQ nearby and at the small BBQ stall opposite Gangpo Pier, but my trip was too rushed, and I didn't get a chance to try them.
