"Agile community offers a decent guesthouse/hotel that's close to the sea. The front desk provides some complimentary items, but some are only single servings, like coffee and ice cream. While the service is fine, having just one portion of food items seems a bit unbalanced, haha. The commercial street is convenient, but prices at some shops are even noticeably higher than in Haitang Bay. For example, a classic McDonald's trio that usually costs 30 is sold for 54 here. McDonald's and Starbucks are usually good benchmark brands for comparison. In this regard, even though staying in Lingshui might offer better value for money generally, it's worth considering the daily expenses if you opt for a high-value regular hotel. From this perspective, for family travel, choosing a surrounding five-star hotel might actually offer better value in comparison."

"This is truly the best hotel I've stayed at! The atmosphere is wonderful and made me feel so comfortable 😁. The hotel has a private beach and only 18 rooms, so it's never crowded or noisy. The facilities are excellent, perfect for enjoying the good life! The swimming pool is clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious!"

"The hotel more looks like a bed and breakfast than a 4 star hotel. The room we booked was really small, around 12 square meters. With a balcony outside to sit. However, the view does not worth sitting and many other neighbors are just checking you. The room itself was clean, but inside the community isn't very clean at all. Probably, the highest disappointment comes from the public swimming pool which is a really tiny swimming pool. Their swimming pool is around 2.5 meters to 2.5 meters. So if you're coming to have a nice swimming experience, don't even think about it in this hotel. We booked a room with breakfast included which was around 50 yuan more expensive than if we didn't want any breakfast. Let me be honest with you, their breakfast doesn't worth at all. There's no salad, no seasonal fruit, no bread, no coffee (broken coffee machine) and no desert. Forget all the things you can find in breakfast of normal 4 start hotel, It's just some dumplings, egg and simple corn which you can buy from any shop outside for less than 10 yuan all of them. Overall, the price doesn't fit the service you receive, specifically about the swimming pool and breakfast."

"The hotel has been extensively renovated since my last stay. There is a cool new gym, a laundry room and the pool area is still top notch. Breakfast is generous and varied. Th rooms are really relaxing, with high quality linens, towels, pillows and mattresses making it very comfortable . The combination rain shower/nozzle shower is excellent and the room comes with a huge tv also. I had a courtyard room which has 2 more seats outside but a balcony room might have been just as convenient. Staff are really friendly and the room is cleaned to a high standard each day. Location is excellent. The hotel is across the quiet roadway from the beach which is being upgraded with new sand being spread. The Shaka Surf shop is just outside the hotel for lessons and rentals, and there is a really nice restaurant (Goofy Dog) just beside that. The noise at night might be an issue with small kids but if you want to be in the heart of the ‘scene’ there’s nowhere better to be. I would very highly recommend this as a place to stay in Riyue Bay."

"Xiao Qin at the front desk provided warm and attentive service. The hotel facilities were complete and comprehensive, with everything you could need. There was even an outdoor swimming pool on the rooftop. The hotel environment was elegant, comfortable, and cozy, and it was clean and tidy – definitely worth a stay."

"We stayed at this home hotel and it was amazing days! The hosts were very hospitality: the girls met us and helped carry a large amount of luggage. The hotel itself we really liked everything clean and stylish. The room is spacious and cozy, chic pool and delicious breakfasts. We would like to thank the whole team separately: it was a feeling that we had been in our family all caring and attentive. We were treated with delicious fruits and coconuts from our own garden. Thank you very much for helping with the delivery of parcels from local marketplaces. I'm used to delivering them directly to the hotel, but on the island everything turned out otherwise the parcels came to the delivery points in 4–6 km. The girl on the resepshen several times went for them and brought us. Thank you for such a warm and hospitality reception! These were the best days of our stay on the island. We will definitely recommend your home to friends and will be happy to come again! 🖤 We spent a very unforgettable few days at this homestay! The boss and staff are super enthusiastic. When we checked in, several young ladies took the initiative to help us carry a lot of luggage. Thank you so much. The hotel environment is very good, the decoration is very stylish, and everything is clean. The room was spacious and warm, the pool was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Living here feels like returning home, everyone takes care of us very carefully. "Just got back from Wanning, so I'm posting this review while it's fresh. First, the conclusion: if you care about your vacation experience and local sightseeing, I don't recommend coming here. Here's why: 1. **Location**: The hotel is on an island in Riyue Bay. After exiting the highway, you'll drive down a narrow beach road popular for surfing. This road is often lined with parked cars, and electric scooters weave through, making it very easy to get stuck in traffic when encountering oncoming vehicles. During peak tourist season, it becomes unbearable, making travel a huge problem. 2. **Lack of Activities**: Apart from the Sunac Chapel, there's basically nothing else to do on the island. There are no beaches suitable for swimming; the actual beaches are outside the island. 3. **Subpar Service**: The hotel's service isn't attentive or detailed enough. (1) The hotel is split into two buildings, A and B, with another building under renovation. When our taxi dropped us off at Building B, we were completely lost, not knowing where to check-in (a sign pointing to Building A would have been helpful here). (2) Buildings A and B are not connected. Guests staying in Building B have to go outdoors to get to Building A for breakfast. During the National Day holiday, we encountered a typhoon with heavy rain, and walking around with an umbrella at the hotel felt incredibly awkward and inconvenient. (3) During check-in, the front desk assigned us a room that was already occupied. A bewildered man suddenly appeared in the room, making the situation extremely awkward. After a long and tiring journey involving planes, high-speed trains, and taxis, encountering this made me very angry. Later, a manager-level staff member came to calm us down, offering a room upgrade and a fruit platter. Overall, the staff (e.g., breakfast staff playing on their phones) and the environment gave me the impression that the hotel isn't really committed to operating well; it felt more like a guesthouse in terms of quality. So, perhaps you should reconsider your room rates."

"The hotel is new and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The pool is spacious and clean. The room comes with an amazing view of the mountains. The breakfast is delicious and freshly made. There’s also afternoon tea with an amazing fruit platter and the night drink. We had an amazing experience! Highly recommended!"

Then I thought that if I travel alone and visit attractions during the day, I just need to find a place to stay, and it won’t be any worse. After arriving, I felt quite satisfied. The hotel is quite good in terms of hardware. It is located in Hanhaiyintan Community. You can take the bus from Lingshui Railway Station. The bus stop is right at the entrance of the community. From the hotel to Haitang Bay, there is an intercity bus directly from the bus station opposite the entrance of the community, which takes the expressway. This is really convenient for traveling alone. The community is very close to the beach, less than 10 minutes' walk, and there is a washing place on the beach. Just outside the gate of the community is the commercial street, where you can choose from many restaurants and celebrity restaurants. There is a night market not far across the street, although the things in the night market are relatively average. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. I called to inquire before booking, and the lady at the front desk reminded me very honestly that the double bed room looked at the sea from the side. But in fact, because the floor is relatively high, the view from the balcony is actually quite broad~ The travel photos provided are really friendly for a person traveling alone. At least there is someone to help take a photo~ The lady who took the photo is also more attentive~ The lighting in the short distance from the elevator to the room needs to be repaired; the soft furnishings in the room also show that the building has a certain age. If measured by the standards of star-rated hotels, there will definitely be differences, but as an ordinary tourist hotel, sea-view rooms are close to the sea and are affordable. I think Ocean Star is pretty good~"
