"We stayed at the Mirabelle Plaza Haifa in late December and found it to be a perfect option for us. My husband and I were traveling with our son and his wife and had two lovely rooms on the tenth floor. The hotel lobby is charming and there are comfortable couches to sit on and chat, in addition to fresh juices and water with fruit to enjoy for refreshment. The breakfasts were generous and offered a variety of options to choose among. The fresh bread was delicious! The hotel is a short walk to the Ba'Hai Gardens and is walking distance or a short ride to many fabulous restaurants in the area. Be area that Haifa is very hilly and the roads are narrow if you are driving!"

"We booked here after it was announced that it had been renovated and that couldn’t be further from the truth. The furniture from the lobby is clearly from the 70’s and filthy, the room furniture and look is outdated, and one elevator was out of order. The one thing this hotel has going for it is its location in the heart of the Louis Promenade with gorgeous ocean views. We arrived at the hotel a half hour before check in and ours, the studio room, was the only one not ready. (The studio was huge and had windows on both sides.) The dinner was edible but not wow. Breakfast was better with a selection of cheeses, eggs, pasta, salad and more. Honestly, we decided not to shower because everything was just so old looking and we’d prefer to shower at home. The audacity of it all, is that the hotel charges 45NIS to park in their lot. That said, you can find metered parking on Yefe Nof and Nassi Street. This hotel has the potential to become a budget-friendly hotel that’s decent. It has good bones but needs a total overhaul. Everything from the unmaintained parquet to the furniture needs to be redone."

"Very nice and tidy hotel in the middle of Carmel Center in Haifa. suitable for families with children, I visited with my wife and two children. The rooms are not big but tidy. Cleaning is good and does not disturb visitors. 20-50 meters to Carmelit, Bahai gardens, Haifa Zoo, and taxi, and buses. There is underground parking (a little annoying that it is for a fee - but not critical) At the reception, they definitely speak English, Hebrew, Russian, Arabic, but maybe some other languages We loved the hotel and most likely if we need to visit Haifa for a few days in future, we will choose it again."

"Newly opened and ideally situated by the beautiful Baha’i Gardens however would not stay again. Expected 5 star service but from the check in to check out was mediocre. No one to carry bags up to the room, pool overcrowded and even though not allowed per Israeli law, smokers everywhere in the pool area and the adjacent rooftop bar. Spent 3 nights there and didn’t have a quiet night at all. The street noise was non stop past 2 am even though we had a higher priced suite. Even my airplane earplugs couldn’t keep the noise out. I inadvertently left my hat in the chaise in front of the desk during check in(a long process) and when I went down after realizing it was missing-no sign of it and staff wouldn’t look at cameras for me. Can’t recommend the hotel"

"We loved it. We were going to the film festival and the website told us about the hotel. Showed up early expecting to leave our luggage and go meet friends. They offered to check us in and the room was perfect - view of the Bahai and port from the window seat and the super comfortable bed. The windows actually open for fresh air! The location on the Louis Promenade is such a bonus. After breakfast I sat outside soaking up the view, quiet and atmosphere. So much is close by but you don't feel rushed or crowded. It was my birthday and they did absolutely spoil me with attention and gifts. We would be happy to go back any day anytime and highly recommend it. PS- 2 places nearby to walk to 1. Gal's Bakery-Sit at the back of the garden and you're in a forest eating great pastry and drinking delicious coffee. Kosher 2. Charliebar, a neighborhood bar and sportsbar for the ages that went beyond good service and is always open. Great food and beer and delicious cocktails. Not Kosher"

"This is a quality hotel showing its age in the lobby and reception areas. Our room, an executive deluxe, was renovated, reasonably large with lots of cupboard and draw space. The bathroom, shower, toilet and basin are in a walled area, nicely decorated. The centre of activity is around the pool, which gets very busy from the late morning. The pool closes quite early at 6pm, which we found inconvenient. It meant swimming before breakfast or forgoing it because the pool was closed after our day trip. The hotel has commanding views over Haifa bay and is a great base for touring Galillee. We went to the wineries in Zichron Yaakov, and across to Tiberias. There are great hikes abd parks all over to visit. As it was school holidays, the hotel had arranged the amazing mentalist Lior Suchard for an evening performance, free for hotel guests. The most exceptional part of the hotel was the enormous breakfast, which continued until 11.30am. The choice was incredible, the amount of food continously replenished exceptional. The staff do try hard to provide great service . I stayed in for the buffet dinner one evening, which had excellent food, drink and great value for money. Of the two neighbouring Dan hotels on the same street, the Carmel is best. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again."

"My family had a Baha’i Pilgrimage and were so happy we chose to stay at the Carmella Boutique Hotel! We loved it’s intimate qualities. First and foremost the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, the room and hotel was beautiful and clean and had lovely hospitality touches, the common places are fitting for nice get togethers as a family and with friends and it location is close to the Baha’i Gardens and a variety of services in the Mercaz HaCarmel part of Haifa."

"Door man pointed to door. And didn’t help open it even though I had suitcase. Complained. Went out and in later still didn’t open door for guests but did open door for other employees. I booked two rooms. One was supposed to look at Baha’i gardens. It did not. Was told if I stood out on small terrace I could see a side view. Not so true either. Other room bigger but ceiling sloped down so narrow. Windows were low to the ground so you had to crouch to look out windows of that one. Tv on pole in middle of room- facing couch- looked like you should be able to turn tv on pole so you could watch tv on bed other side of room. You could not. No light in shower. Had to leave door open to shower to see- floor got soaked. Hallways had little to no air conditioning. Too tired and hot to argue. Two elevators for all guest room and pool access. Slow and no air conditioning. Expensive and weird. Roof top pool and pool deck size of hot tub. No room to sit. "
