"There was no staff service; I had to call multiple times and wait for them to send an SMS before I could check in. There were many drunk people nearby, making it feel like a love hotel. The room was large, but the environment was appalling. The bed seemed to have been reused, with lots of hair and stains, and the drawers were filthy. There was no way to complain; I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. I contacted Trip.com for assistance, but the hotel replied that since we hadn't followed up with them that night, they wouldn't offer a solution. In fact, Trip.com staff couldn't be reached either. This is outrageous; I don't understand how they received a 4-star rating. A very unsatisfactory experience; definitely do not stay here!"

"I chanced on the this B&B by randomly selecting a place to overnight on a trip through Newcastle. I was pleasantly surprised by the property and friendly staff service. There is on-road parking (in addition to limited on-site parking I understand) and a nice downstairs common area. The rooms are secured with keypads, which is convenient, and are quite large. Beds very comfortable, and a good bathroom. The location is 100m from Beaumont St, which has many eateries and a pub for easy access. Overall very good value for money, and I would certainly stay there on a more planned trip in the future."
