"Íslendingar, þetta hótel og veitingastaður er hágæða perla. We´re an Icelandic couple, and went to hotel Siglunes for a tiny romantic vacation. I can't recommend it enough. The Moroccan restaurant is outstanding, food is so tasty, exotic for our Icelandic taste buds. It's also very beautiful, peaceful, with a great atmosphere. The room was beautiful, great bed with a wonderful mattress, Duvets provided, which us Icelanders love. But there was also a blanket, and good windows to let fresh air in, which is wonderful if people are used to sleeping in cold rooms. The atmosphere in the hotel is vintage, at the same time as everything (furniture, the house itself, and decorations) are in perfect condition. Hotel Siglunes team, thank you very much for the lovely stay."

"Nicely decorated old house (we were staying in the main building) with well-functioning everything (friendly and welcoming staff, decent décor, nice toiletries, well-stocked coffee station in the room, WIFI, clean but a little bit too dark rooms with a few nice historic features). We had a snack in the restaurant in the evening, and we did have breakfast - both went well, I would perhaps consider adding local cheese for breakfast (would definitely make hotel standout compared to the competitors). This is one of the oldest houses in the country, so please be aware that it's not as sound-proof, as one might've wanted (but there are earplugs for light sleepers). The sink in the bathroom was a little bit worn off and shall be lined up for a replacement. You will need to take stairs - it's an old building, there's no elevator (and I didn't dislike it - just a thing to keep in mind when making a reservation)."

"We went here a couple of weeks back as my husband was snowboarding, so we were surrounded by lots of snow. The cabin was cosy and clean and the guy in the hostal opposite was lovely. Such a beautiful quiet area. I never been somewhere so silent and peaceful. The hot tub in the snow was a lot of fun thank you"

"Extremely satisfied! Although the location is a bit remote, the hot tub experience itself was the ultimate indulgence, making it all worthwhile. The most unforgettable moment was soaking in the hot tub while enjoying the mountain views, the town's nightscape, and the fresh early winter air. In winter, there's a chance to see the Northern Lights from the hot tub. We took a minibus from Akureyri to the town of Siglufjörður, which took about 1.5 hours. Driving would be even more convenient. This is a charming family-run guesthouse with thoughtful touches. The decor is predominantly white, the rooms are clean, and the facilities are complete (shared bathroom and shared kitchenette for a light breakfast). We found it quiet and comfortable. The owners were very hospitable and arranged the hot tub experience perfectly. In short, I highly recommend this guesthouse."

"Nice size room right across from a store/cafe with a nice view out the window. Handy shared kitchen. Really nice restaurant (Retro Mathus) in the village. Nothing fancy, just clean, comfortable, and friendly. Parking right out front. Walking distance to nice pool. We were too tired to use it, but the site is spectacular."
