"I booked this place for a concert at Tottenham Stadium. It was convenient to get back to the venue on one train, and being close to King's Cross Station made sightseeing around the city easy. The location is excellent. Also, the front desk staff were very responsive, and check-in was smooth. However, I had booked a female-only room, but somehow a male guest entered halfway through my stay, which was confusing. It seems like it had become a mixed-gender room (it was too much hassle to report it to the front desk). To be honest, the shower and toilet weren't very clean. There were no amenities, so I had to pay to rent a towel. In the room, someone was always sleeping, so the lights were off. Out of consideration for others, I used the hairdryer in the shared space on the basement floor. It was my first time staying in a bunk bed. The vibrations from the person below were noticeable, and getting up and down was a bit of a nuisance. I'd recommend paying extra for a lower bunk if possible. Since there's no air conditioning, the windows were always open, which meant it could be bright and noisy. But after the second day, I was so tired that I didn't notice it anymore and slept soundly. I've written a lot, but in conclusion, given the cheap accommodation price, I suppose many of these things are to be expected. Overall, I had a valuable and enjoyable experience!"

Hotels in Tower Hamlets,London
Wombat's City Hostel London is located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, right next to the famous Tower Bridge and Tower of London, charming markets, authentic pubs and many other places of historical interest. A short walk will take you to trendy Shoreditch with its vibrant street art, the lively nightlife of Hoxton Square and Old Street and finally Brick Lane, which has become one of the most popular spots. All other London attractions are easily accessible by public transport: Aldgate East and Tower Bridge underground and DLR stations are just a stone's throw away. The City Hostel is conveniently connected to both, Heathrow Airport (Picadilly Line + District Line) and Gatwick Airport (railway towards city center + District Line or Circle Line). The City Hostel is a safe haven in the middle of the metropolis: Wombat’s took a traditional brick building with roots dating back to the 1800s and set a new standard for hostel life in the UK. What was once sailors' accommodation is now a hostel that caters for all the needs of the modern traveller. Included Wombat’s Basics: - En-suite bathrooms in all rooms - Linen - Dorms with individual lockers, fans & privacy curtains - Free Wi-Fi throughout the building - 24/7 Reception - Guest kitchen - Coin operated guest laundry (washing & drying) - Free Events: almost daily, from karaoke to pub quizzes to concerts! - Rental items like adaptors and hairdryers - Secure luggage storage - Maximum security as access is via smart cards for the front door as well as for the rooms and lockers. Wombat’s Food & Drinks: - “Tasty Brekkie”: buffet style breakfast, vegan options, bottomless coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. - WomCAFÉ: perfect spot to relax with a cup of Wombat’s roast barista coffee. - WomBAR: affordable drinks (craft beer!), cool people, and endless parties.

"I had a nice stay at this hotel. To enter the rooms, you need to use your key card to access each floor and room, which made me feel that the security was quite good. The bathrooms, toilets, and bed linens were all clean. Each bed has a lockable storage box where you can safely keep and charge small electronic devices such as your phone or earbuds. The bed also comes with a curtain and a fan, which made it comfortable. There are also lockers for luggage. At check-in, the front desk gives you a numbered card, which you attach to the bed you would use during the stay and the locker will be assigned based on the number. If you check in later in the day, only upper bunk beds may still be available. If you prefer a lower bunk, it’s better to check in as early as possible. Items such as hair dryers can be borrowed by leaving a cash deposit, so I recommend bringing some cash with you in advance. It’s a short walk from the station, so it’s not right next door, but I still thought it was relatively close and convenient. The hotel also has a café, and overall it had a very nice atmosphere."

The Walrus is here to help you feel at home in the heart of the city. Just a heads up - Our central location means you might hear some city buzz and passing trains until around midnight. Please note: Guests under 18 must stay in a private room and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

"Booked this due to location, right in front of bus station and a few minutes walk to the train station, not bad as we were traveling with a lot of luggage. Stairs only but their staff helped carry them up and down the stairs, there's a storage room open during certain hours which was great, although not necessarily the most secure (they dont tag or check you own them, but still better than storing them in the open room). They have hand soap for the bathroom/shower room sinks, not kitchen sink. No paper towels, other shower amenities. Some of the toilet stalls are super tiny, can barely close the door when you stand in it. Breakfast is pretty simple but nice that they offer it (drinks, breads, fruits, cereals, etc.) The building is quite old but not necessarily dirty. Not much area for sitting/chilling, just a small booth seat in the kitchen. Room itself is pretty barebones bunkbeds as it says, they have a wall with storage cubbies which was nice, bring your own locks."

"First off, the location is super convenient, really close to the subway station. There are also plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The cleanliness is quite good. There's a bar on the ground floor that plays music, but it's fine; it doesn't disturb anyone in the rooms, at least I couldn't hear it when I was sleeping or during the day. It would be even better if there was a self-service beverage vending machine. I woke up parched in the middle of the night and wanted a drink, but there was nothing available."

"Great value for money, very affordable. I stayed in the bottom bunk of a triple room. The bathroom can get a bit crowded at times, so it's best to avoid peak hours if you need to wash up. It's a good idea to bring your own lock, otherwise, you might have to buy one from the front desk."

I had a great stay. The capsule was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location close to the subway and everything I needed, which made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. The shared bathrooms were much cleaner than I expected, and drinking water and vending machines were available. The only downside was that the capsule doors can be a bit loud when closing, which might bother light sleepers. It didn’t bother me, though. The capsule was spacious enough for a carry-on bag, and I slept very well thanks to the dark, quiet environment. A great choice if you just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep.

Our stay was unfortunately very disappointing. Before arrival, we specifically requested a quiet room. Instead, we were given a very small room located directly above the reception area. The room offered almost no storage space, only a small coat rack, which was not suitable for two guests staying several nights. The bathroom was extremely small, with a tiny sink and very poor ventilation. After one shower, the entire bathroom became humid, making it uncomfortable for the second person to use it. Sound insulation was almost non-existent. Conversations from rooms above and below were clearly audible, as if they were happening inside our room. The worst experience occurred during our last night, when a group of teenagers arrived. They were extremely noisy, running through the corridors and stairs late at night. Around 11:30 pm, they even knocked loudly on our door and ran away. This was unacceptable and very distressing, especially as we were already asleep. For these reasons, we cannot recommend this property. We regret this experience, as we had hoped for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

Small but perfectly formed. I've stayed here three times already, and the experience is always excellent. The self-service check-in is super convenient, and there are always staff members nearby to assist. This time I noticed they've added three new elevators, which makes things even smoother. The location is superb, close to Chinatown.

Very good customer service and highly efficient reception team. Very good location in the high brow area of London. Amenities are kept very clean and well-managed. I forgot my laptop in the lobby after checking out, taking only the laptop charger. I had already reached Manchester when I noticed it wasn't in my laptop bag. I called the reception and they assured me that the laptop was found and kept in a safe place for me. Four days later, I came back to the hostel and picked up my laptop after they confirmed it was mine. This cannot happen in many hostels and budget stays in a big city like London. It's a big plus for them. I fully recommend staying in this hostel to anyone looking for such a clean and well-managed budget accommodation in London.

I had a great stay at St Christopher’s Inn Shepherd’s Bush. The location is excellent—very close to Shepherd’s Bush station and Westfield London, making it easy to get around and explore the city. The hostel was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Despite being a busy hostel, I had a comfortable night’s sleep. It’s a great option if you’re looking for affordable accommodation with good transport links. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting London.

There is a women-only area, and only guests with a key card can enter. The women-only section has two bathrooms and one room with a maximum capacity of 10 people. The bunk beds are not very sturdy, so if the person on the top bunk moves, you can feel the vibration on the bottom bunk. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend it to light sleepers. I stayed for 8 nights and only received two towels in total—one of them only after I asked for it myself. The bathrooms were clean, and tea was available for free. There is no laundry room, so you’ll need to use the nearest laundrette. The common room has a kettle, a microwave, and a small fridge.

Budget accommodation in great location for BST Hyde Park concerts and very close to Paddington Station and tube. Also lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk. Was irritated to arrive at premises and find a note on the door saying I had to check in at another hotel a short walk away first. However, staff there were very friendly and someone escorted me back to Atlas Studios after checking in. Room clean and nice to have a kitchenette. Also a fan, which was essential as it was during the heatwave. However, there was no TV in the room despite the Facilities section on Atlas Studios website saying 'TV in Room'. I would not have booked here if I had known there was no TV, so this was very disappointing.

Cosmos Capsule Coworking London

I stayed at Cosmos Capsule Coworking London again, for the second time, and had a pleasant experience overall like I had during my first visit. This capsule hotel offers a unique blend of accommodation and coworking space at an affordable price. Located on Hanbury Street, just an 11-minute walk from Aldgate East station, its central location makes it accessible. Just outside the hotel, at 67 Hanbury Street, is Chaii Town, a charming Chai and Coffee shop that I highly recommend. They offer a great variety of Chai flavors and pastries. I tried their Ginger Chai and Chai Latte, both of which were delicious. Their exotic pastries, like Dubai Cookies and Matcha Cookies, pair perfectly with the aromatic Chai. The owner was wonderful, and the hospitality was exceptional. The capsules are well-designed and functional, featuring ambient lighting with customizable colors—blue, pink, green, yellow, or white. Each capsule also includes a TV screen and headphones, though I didn’t use them during my stay. The capsules are not soundproof, so a good night’s rest depends on the courtesy of fellow guests. Fortunately, everyone during my stay were considerate, and I slept well. Earbuds are provided in the capsule just in case. The shared spaces, including the showers and toilets, were very clean. The shared kitchen area includes essentials like a sink, microwave, kettle, tea, and cups. One standout feature is the massage chair in the common area, which offers a good massage after a long day. There’s no traditional reception desk; instead, check-in is automated via a WhatsApp message or email with an access code. This code grants entry to the building and a small box containing your key card. While the shared spaces were immaculate, the capsules could use a bit more attention. I noticed hairs from previous guests on the blanket. Overall, Cosmos Capsule Coworking London is a good option for budget-conscious travelers who need a comfortable place to stay and work.
