"The location ist amazing. The kitchen is nice and big with several airfryers as well. Unfortunately there was not enough cutlery and other tools you might need for cooking. I was in a 10 bed dorm. The room was nice and spacious and the beds have thick curtains. The downside was the bathroom. I stayed for 7 nights and the bathroom was maybe cleaned twice. So it wasn't a really good experience to use it. There were also no additional bathrooms on any upper level. One bathroom is simply not enough for ten people. To summarize I expected better bathroom cleanliness and more bathrooms also on the upper levels. And also the early kitchen closure at 10pm was pretty annoying."

"The room is quite outdated compared to the pictures! The bed is not stabilised to the floor so it moves every time you sit on it. Bathroom tap was dripping and the floor is very creaky! Location is good as it is very close to Southern Station although the surrounding is not great! Police was often outside for what look like for anti-social behaviour!"

"Great location! It's near Southern Cross Station, with convenient shopping nearby – plenty of supermarkets and malls. Several attractions are within walking distance too. The room was clean, and security was good, with keycode access for both the main entrance and inner door."

"We’ve stayed at Atlantis several times, it’s definitely one of our regular places when visiting Melbourne. It’s not fancy, but it has everything you need, including essential amenities and a smart TV, and we were happy to see they’ve recently done some renovations. The location is excellent, with the free tram at the doorstep and Southern Cross Station nearby. The underground parking is very convenient, offering access for early arrivals, after check-out, and multiple entries. The hotel has facilities including a gym, pool, and sauna, though we didn’t use them. Security feels solid with the police station across the road, and check-in and check-out were quick, easy, and friendly."

"Exceeded my expectations! The service attitude, room facilities, and even the free shuttle bus to the airport were all fantastic! If you're looking for a hotel near Melbourne Airport, I highly recommend staying at Mantra. (The rooms were also newer and bigger than I imagined, which was a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff were super friendly too – so much better than the Mantra at Sydney Airport 🙇)"

"No complaints to fuss about. Smooth check in, tidy room, good location. Love the physical information guides, menu, pen & pad! Great Happy Hour, Tasty Espresso Martini! (even with the extra ice). Minor disruption during drink service as another customer started to create a scene, causing some to take and finish their dinner on the outside tables due to the rising tension. Not entirely sure what the problem was but the young staff member handled the situation professionally while also still delivering our drinks in a timely manner. Great effort, especially with the already high demand of orders, thank you! No cooking pan provided in room and only 1 glass for 2 people - we made do. Mediocre breakfast buffet; no sauce other than jam, honey or butter, and could tell it all had been sitting untouched/monitored or refilled for some time with at least an hour remaining for breakfast service. Some tables to be cleared from previous diners sat a little longer than expected. With only this one experience at Oaks to reference, seeing 1-2 staff, I assume always running smoothly with staff shortage can be tough. Attentive and friendly food & beverage staff, checking and fullfilling guests requests such as barista made coffee (tea and coffee available to make self - no soy milk) Must have been poor timing on our part as a few items were replenished nearing the end of our meal as well as more diners being seated. Really Great price for the basics offered, when compared to some other hotels. I must note; individually, the jam, honey and bread were exceptional. Overall satisfied for last minute booking (1 night)"

"It’s a nice little place that did what it needed to do to keep a roof over my head. Slightly annoying that you have to use the bathroom/shower in seperate areas within the hotel but that was already known once paying for a room in advance."

"The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and provided great service. The facilities were also in good condition, making the stay quite comfortable. The location, however, was a bit far from the city’s CBD area, but getting there was still easy thanks to the nearby tram access. Overall, a good stay with only the distance being a small downside. good view at night if you get a good room."

The check-in process was quick and easy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy and clean room that awaited me. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had all the amenities I could need for a short stay. Oakwood’s atmosphere was peaceful, and I was able to relax and unwind in no time. Though it was only one night, I felt truly taken care of and would highly recommend Oakwood to anyone looking for a restful stay. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely be returning!"

"Great location. A bit of hiccups on the check-in. Couldn't enter the front door as it was locked before 9am, rang the doorbell several times but no response. Was let in eventually after we made a phone call to the front desk. Very basic amenities, no hairdryer. The shower setup is a little odd as it has no proper door, so the floor gets wet every time after we take a shower. Weird odour when we turned on the heater, also smelled something akin to pees near the room entrance on our last night."
