"This hotel is part of the Summer Palace, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Due to the architectural limitations, both the rooms and bathrooms are quite small. However, the heating was excellent. Breakfast was simple, Chinese-style, but filling enough. We had a New Year's Eve dinner at the hotel, and it was delicious – truly great food. The hotel also has a very cute resident cat named Batiao. All the staff members were wonderful and very welcoming. It's definitely worth a stay."

"The service here is excellent, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. Although some rooms are a bit small, they promptly helped us switch to a larger, more comfortable room after we spoke with customer service. When we mentioned the shower water temperature wasn't quite right, they immediately adjusted it for us and even proactively arranged an additional room, showing great efficiency in problem-solving. Given the price, the facilities are practical rather than luxurious, but the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very pleasant stay overall. Any issues we had were resolved quickly, and the hotel's location is fantastic for easy travel. I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend it!"

"We visited during rainy weather, and the hotel front desk was very thoughtful, offering umbrellas for loan. The ladies at the front desk were all beautiful [giggles][giggles]! We were given a high-floor room with a stunning night view, and the cleanliness was excellent. There's also a laundry room available for guests, which was very convenient. The breakfast service was great too; they provided a high chair and utensils for my baby when they saw I had one. The overall service at this hotel made my family and me feel very comfortable. It was definitely the right choice!"

"Stayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay."

"The rooms were spotless, the ambiance was delightful, and the service was top-notch, complemented by excellent facilities. The dining options were extensive, with a rich variety of food. The Chinese restaurant, in particular, served wonderfully authentic dishes at reasonable prices. We also found the hotpot set menu to be exceptional value, featuring a generous assortment of ingredients with a perfect balance of meat and vegetables."

"I genuinely recommend this hotel; the service and cleanliness were both excellent. The location is also fantastic, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, and it's very close to the scenic spots. The bedding in the room was incredibly comfortable, and I had a very restful night's sleep. Checking out was also very convenient; I just handed in the room card and was good to go, which saved a lot of time! I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!"

"Hotel is grand and new. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and some menus change everyday. Staffs there are professional, nice and polite. Hotel also provide free entry couple to the spa wellness club adjoining to the hotel. We really enjoy the hotel services and facilities during the 4 days stay. We definitely will stay st this hotel if coming to chengde again. Strongly recommended!"

"New hotel, with spotless facilities and friendly staff. It's very close to the Chengde South Station, which is handy for high speed trains - though is a bus ride or taxi ride away from downtown Chengde and the Mountain Resort area. (Bus 29 takes you down there, but takes a while). Breakfast was good, and there are snacks in reception wheel you come back. The restaurant is only open in the morning - no bar/other facilities, but there are places to eat/shop nearby, though the area feels very new and developing. It was a great choice for me as I came in and out of Chengde South Station and I used the hotel as my base."

"This is my first time to stay at this wonderful hotel, and I must say, the experience has been truly delightful. The location is incredibly convenient, situated just around the corner from Wanda Plaza, which offers a variety of shops, including a well-stocked supermarket and a modern movie theater. This makes it easy to find everything I need within walking distance. The services provided by the hotel staff are outstanding, with the front desk team standing out in particular. They have demonstrated a highly professional attitude combined with a warm and hospitable mindset, making me feel very welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. Given this positive experience, I will surely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Chengde."
