"Brilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices"

"I stayed at the Puning Hotel for two nights and three days, and it was an amazing value. The hotel has a traditional Chinese garden style, making you feel like you've stepped into a secluded paradise. On the rooftop, I enjoyed coffee, a gentle breeze, mountain views, and the sight of the Chan Temple – a perfect blend of classical and modern. Traveling solo, I visited museums, paid respects at the Chan Temple, explored the local market, and even fed the hotel's pet deer. It was a beautiful way to enjoy some leisure time away from my busy work life. The front desk, room service, and dining staff were all excellent, and the owner was very kind. The atmosphere was very warm and homely, which made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were always willing to help with any requests and made us feel well taken care of. Our room was the smallest one available, but it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The property itself is quite spacious, with two lovely courtyards where guests can relax. Barbecue facilities are provided, and there are plenty of tables and chairs, making it a great place to spend time with family or friends. Location and Transportation: The hotel is perfectly situated, right next to the Mountain Resort and not far from Erxianju Commercial Street. It's very convenient for exploring the Mountain Resort, dining, and shopping on the commercial street. Taxis and driving are both convenient. Parking is available, but there are currently no charging stations. Hotel Facilities: The bedding was soft and comfortable, with the mattress and pillows having the perfect firmness, allowing for a good night's sleep. There is a public restroom on the first floor. The breakfast selection was quite good, with basic fare like bread, fried dough sticks, coffee, milk, and soy milk, as well as some simple stir-fries and fried rice, which basically satisfied my breakfast needs. Service: I received a free room upgrade, and the hotel staff were warm and friendly. From check-in to check-out, their professionalism and attentiveness were evident in every aspect.
