"Staying at Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. First off, it's not a towering high-rise, which immediately gives it a cozy, homely vibe. Plus, the hotel doesn't cater to a massive number of guests, only about a hundred or so at most, meaning they can offer a more personalized and attentive service, or as I'd put it, 'meticulous care.' This included thoughtful touches like having snacks, candies, and refreshing drinks available at the entrance, and sewing kits and other small emergency items in the hallways of each building. From the moment you step in, everyone you encounter at this hotel actively engages with guests, listening carefully to their suggestions and needs. This level of personalized interaction is something I haven't experienced in hotels in recent years, and it's truly commendable. Guests who've stayed even just one day are greeted by the hotel's cat rubbing against their legs as soon as they walk in – it's incredibly heartwarming! The restaurant staff were all very dedicated, helping guests choose dishes and ensuring nothing went to waste, which was lovely. When they heard we enjoyed millet porridge, they even sold us some to take back to Beijing! One staff member, Zhi, proactively offered to buy us tofu (from Zhang Yu), which was a huge convenience. Mr. Yu Changhong (Xiao Yu) provides exceptional service, treating every guest like family, and truly fosters that 'home away from home' feeling. I do have a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could keep two electronic blood pressure monitors and phone charging cables on hand. When guests book a room, especially if they are elderly, it could be noted that a blood pressure monitor can be provided in their room, saving them the hassle of bringing their own. Having charging cables readily available would also alleviate any worries about charging phones."

"Our stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to a bus stop, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. The room was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I slept soundly all night. The front desk staff were warm and efficient; check-in was quick and smooth, and they even kindly gave us tips on local attractions. It's excellent value for money and totally exceeded our expectations. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!"

"A great hotel for families - quiet and peaceful. The suite was very large with 2 separate rooms and a nice balcony. The ”panda theme” was a big hit with my kids. They loved it. There were free water bottles, coffee and tea in the room. The overall cleanliness was excellent - a very clean bathroom and shower, sparkling white linens and towels. The only negative in regards to cleaning was the floor - it was mopped but visibly not clean. My kids' feet were black after walking on the floor for just half an hour. That could be an improvement. The beds are pretty hard - good for those who enjoy it. The staff service was great. We overslept breakfast time and the front desk called the restaurant and asked them to wait for us so we could eat. The location is also very convenient with free car parking. We would definitely stay again."

"The hotel has a main building and another annex building behind it. The facilities may be a bit older than the newly renovated hotel. I saw a comment saying that the bathroom inside still has a bathtub, so I specially chose a room type without a bathtub. The room is also clean. The location is very good, just opposite the entrance of the Summer Resort, Lizheng Gate, and next to it is a large shopping mall, Jinlong Plaza. There is a RT-Mart supermarket in the basement of Jinlong Plaza, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. The bus from Chengde Distribution Center to Jinshanling Great Wall is just opposite the Lizheng Gate parking lot. There are various buses at the entrance of the hotel, going to Chengde Museum, Little Potala Palace, and Puning Temple."

"My child attends high school in Chengde, and whenever there's a monthly break, we always stay at this hotel. What I appreciate most is the self-service laundry room, which is great for washing my child's clothes. The front desk staff are also happy to help with laundry, and their service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic – definitely five stars. The hotel has its own restaurant, making dining very convenient, and the food tastes great. The surrounding environment is superb, very quiet, and the rooms have excellent soundproofing, which is perfect for my child to study. The room's cleanliness is impeccable, and the bed is very comfortable with just the right firmness. My child wasn't up for breakfast, so I got some for them – it was quite abundant, with freshly made noodles and a variety of drinks. Very comprehensive! Before checking out, the front desk even gave us two bottles of water. Overall, the environment, cleanliness, and service are all outstanding. See you next month!"

"Hotel is grand and new. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and some menus change everyday. Staffs there are professional, nice and polite. Hotel also provide free entry couple to the spa wellness club adjoining to the hotel. We really enjoy the hotel services and facilities during the 4 days stay. We definitely will stay st this hotel if coming to chengde again. Strongly recommended!"

"The room was spacious, with excellent views and plenty of windows, offering a pleasant view. The facilities were a bit dated, but they worked perfectly. The round outlet on the bedside table was very practical and a nice touch. The toilet paper was awkwardly placed next to the toilet, making it difficult to reach. Elderly people with frozen shoulder would find it very difficult to reach. We recommend this improvement. The breakfast variety and quality were acceptable, but the dining room carpet was worn, and the odor was a bit unpleasant."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the Mountain Resort – just a few minutes' walk. The Erxianju Night Market is right downstairs too. It's clean, the service is friendly and enthusiastic, and breakfast offers a great variety. The only minor downside is that the window is a bit small, but everything else is perfect."
