"Staying at Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. First off, it's not a towering high-rise, which immediately gives it a cozy, homely vibe. Plus, the hotel doesn't cater to a massive number of guests, only about a hundred or so at most, meaning they can offer a more personalized and attentive service, or as I'd put it, 'meticulous care.' This included thoughtful touches like having snacks, candies, and refreshing drinks available at the entrance, and sewing kits and other small emergency items in the hallways of each building. From the moment you step in, everyone you encounter at this hotel actively engages with guests, listening carefully to their suggestions and needs. This level of personalized interaction is something I haven't experienced in hotels in recent years, and it's truly commendable. Guests who've stayed even just one day are greeted by the hotel's cat rubbing against their legs as soon as they walk in – it's incredibly heartwarming! The restaurant staff were all very dedicated, helping guests choose dishes and ensuring nothing went to waste, which was lovely. When they heard we enjoyed millet porridge, they even sold us some to take back to Beijing! One staff member, Zhi, proactively offered to buy us tofu (from Zhang Yu), which was a huge convenience. Mr. Yu Changhong (Xiao Yu) provides exceptional service, treating every guest like family, and truly fosters that 'home away from home' feeling. I do have a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could keep two electronic blood pressure monitors and phone charging cables on hand. When guests book a room, especially if they are elderly, it could be noted that a blood pressure monitor can be provided in their room, saving them the hassle of bringing their own. Having charging cables readily available would also alleviate any worries about charging phones."

"I genuinely recommend this hotel; the service and cleanliness were both excellent. The location is also fantastic, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, and it's very close to the scenic spots. The bedding in the room was incredibly comfortable, and I had a very restful night's sleep. Checking out was also very convenient; I just handed in the room card and was good to go, which saved a lot of time! I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!"

The room is meticulously cleaned, with no unpleasant odors in the corners. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. Disposable toilet seat covers and a separate vanity mirror are also provided! Environment: Located in the heart of the scenic area, it's within walking distance of attractions such as the Summer Palace, Puning Temple, and the Little Potala Palace. The surrounding area has a full range of supermarkets and restaurants, making it very convenient for daily life and travel. Service: Check-in and check-out are efficient. The staff are friendly and proactive, helping with luggage and explaining nearby tourist routes. They respond promptly to our needs. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who is also from Liaoning, and we were upgraded to a room! Their buffet breakfast is especially delicious, mainly featuring Northern Chinese cuisine; the four of us ate our fill and were very satisfied! Excellent value for money: Offers free private parking with ample spaces and charging stations, making it very convenient for self-driving tourists. Overall, it offers excellent value and is a popular choice for accommodation in Chengde. I'd definitely come back next time! Suitable for families, cultural travelers, and those traveling by car. If you plan to visit scenic spots, it's recommended to book in advance to secure your accommodation."

"The hotel has a main building and another annex building behind it. The facilities may be a bit older than the newly renovated hotel. I saw a comment saying that the bathroom inside still has a bathtub, so I specially chose a room type without a bathtub. The room is also clean. The location is very good, just opposite the entrance of the Summer Resort, Lizheng Gate, and next to it is a large shopping mall, Jinlong Plaza. There is a RT-Mart supermarket in the basement of Jinlong Plaza, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. The bus from Chengde Distribution Center to Jinshanling Great Wall is just opposite the Lizheng Gate parking lot. There are various buses at the entrance of the hotel, going to Chengde Museum, Little Potala Palace, and Puning Temple."

"We visited during rainy weather, and the hotel front desk was very thoughtful, offering umbrellas for loan. The ladies at the front desk were all beautiful [giggles][giggles]! We were given a high-floor room with a stunning night view, and the cleanliness was excellent. There's also a laundry room available for guests, which was very convenient. The breakfast service was great too; they provided a high chair and utensils for my baby when they saw I had one. The overall service at this hotel made my family and me feel very comfortable. It was definitely the right choice!"

"Love this place ! Stayed 3 separate times. Once last year and twice this year. Nicest hotel so far in china I’ve been to. Honestly can’t beat this hotel for the price. I went before the 7 day holiday and during it. Was way more expensive during it but still amazing Modern, friendly, great bathrooms, customer service and an insane breakfast Wife mentioned we are repeat customers and they gave us free spa coupon which was great."

"The room facilities are quite old and business-style. The bathroom is old and not very clean. The hotel's soundproofing is poor, which is a significant minus. The front desk service was okay. Upon arrival, there were no rooms available, so they adjusted the room and let me move in directly. The room had a bathtub, but I didn't use it. "The hotel is right in the city center, safe, clean, and very affordable during the off-season. It's really close to the Mountain Resort, just a short walk away. The lobby even offers hot tea, which is a really thoughtful touch. Charlie provided excellent and attentive service, and the front desk even gave us some snacks. Very satisfied!"
