"My first impression of the room was how clean and tidy it was. The service was very attentive; I was offered water as soon as I approached the front desk. When I asked the cleaner for two bottles of water, she immediately gave me four. I told her I didn't need that many, and she just said to take them (and it turned out to be a good thing, as it was hot and we ended up using more than two). The hotel is in a prime location, right by the Emperor Kangxi statue roundabout, directly opposite Suning Plaza, with shops, restaurants, and BBQ spots right downstairs. It's also just a few hundred meters' walk to the Mountain Resort, with a lively tourist street all along the way."

"I booked a double queen room for this trip, and honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I was genuinely surprised the moment I opened the door. It's perfectly spacious for a family of four and more cost-effective than booking two separate rooms. The room was bright and roomy, and the cleanliness was impeccable. All the toiletries were disposable, which gave me peace of mind. The kids loved it too! The surrounding area is bustling with plenty of dining options. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"Staying at Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. First off, it's not a towering high-rise, which immediately gives it a cozy, homely vibe. Plus, the hotel doesn't cater to a massive number of guests, only about a hundred or so at most, meaning they can offer a more personalized and attentive service, or as I'd put it, 'meticulous care.' This included thoughtful touches like having snacks, candies, and refreshing drinks available at the entrance, and sewing kits and other small emergency items in the hallways of each building. From the moment you step in, everyone you encounter at this hotel actively engages with guests, listening carefully to their suggestions and needs. This level of personalized interaction is something I haven't experienced in hotels in recent years, and it's truly commendable. Guests who've stayed even just one day are greeted by the hotel's cat rubbing against their legs as soon as they walk in – it's incredibly heartwarming! The restaurant staff were all very dedicated, helping guests choose dishes and ensuring nothing went to waste, which was lovely. When they heard we enjoyed millet porridge, they even sold us some to take back to Beijing! One staff member, Zhi, proactively offered to buy us tofu (from Zhang Yu), which was a huge convenience. Mr. Yu Changhong (Xiao Yu) provides exceptional service, treating every guest like family, and truly fosters that 'home away from home' feeling. I do have a small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel could keep two electronic blood pressure monitors and phone charging cables on hand. When guests book a room, especially if they are elderly, it could be noted that a blood pressure monitor can be provided in their room, saving them the hassle of bringing their own. Having charging cables readily available would also alleviate any worries about charging phones."

"The room was spacious, with excellent views and plenty of windows, offering a pleasant view. The facilities were a bit dated, but they worked perfectly. The round outlet on the bedside table was very practical and a nice touch. The toilet paper was awkwardly placed next to the toilet, making it difficult to reach. Elderly people with frozen shoulder would find it very difficult to reach. We recommend this improvement. The breakfast variety and quality were acceptable, but the dining room carpet was worn, and the odor was a bit unpleasant."

"I stayed at the Puning Hotel for two nights and three days, and it was an amazing value. The hotel has a traditional Chinese garden style, making you feel like you've stepped into a secluded paradise. On the rooftop, I enjoyed coffee, a gentle breeze, mountain views, and the sight of the Chan Temple – a perfect blend of classical and modern. Traveling solo, I visited museums, paid respects at the Chan Temple, explored the local market, and even fed the hotel's pet deer. It was a beautiful way to enjoy some leisure time away from my busy work life. The front desk, room service, and dining staff were all excellent, and the owner was very kind. "Brilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices"

"Excellent stay room 809! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful river view. The bed was cozy, the bedding was of good quality, and the room was quiet thanks to effective soundproofing. What stood out most was the outstanding service. The front desk staff were always smiling, welcoming, and efficient, making every interaction pleasant. The tour desk was equally helpful and readily provided useful travel information and advice. Breakfast was good, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. With its comfortable rooms, scenic views, and attentive staff, this is definitely a hotel I would recommend to self driving guest. Booking DiDi was easy to all attractions on our list but note that the Mountain Resort Scenic Area is not within walking distance. Do not miss the KangXi ceremony show which is magnificent knowing or not knowing the history."

"Overall it's OK, but some things can be better 1. You need to pay a deposit for the room card when staying in the hotel. Maybe I don't encounter this often. This is the first time I've encountered a deposit of 200 yuan 2. The hotel facilities are really old. The air conditioner was buzzing all night. It was quieter when sleeping, but the air conditioner was a bit noisy 3. The bathroom sink was not leaking water + the bathtub was not leaking water. But I called the front desk and the attitude was very good and it was all solved"

"承德皇家园林希尔顿欢朋酒店 We stayed for 2 nights. It located from railway station for 15-mins walk. The hotel was new & everywhere was clean & tidy. Hot showering water was ready all the time. The best things were their breakfast where staff Ms 崔& the site officer were very caring & active serve every guest, eg. offer sweeten fungus dessert to help our thorat comfort etc, . The diversity & taste of breakfast was far beyond expectation. Self laundry was good as it did. The worst thing was smoking smell often caught our nose inside lift even prohibition notice posted up! I would come again next time without second thought."

"Had a fantastic stay! The hotel staff were all incredibly professional and had excellent attitudes. The room was spotless and very tidy. The hotel breakfast was also delicious and offered a wide variety. There's a Chinese restaurant on the second floor where you can grab lunch and dinner. The hotel's location is superb, very close to the Mountain Resort and other attractions. Right next to the hotel is a famous night market with a rich assortment of stalls. The restaurants nearby are also very comprehensive, offering a chance to try Chengde's local specialties."
