Atami Hotels with Wifi

"I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen."

"Hotel Resorpia Atami was an unplanned booking on my trip. I got stranded at Atami Station due to Typhoon No. 11, so I ended up booking this hotel. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations: 1) The hotel is located by the sea and is a 10-15 minute walk from Atami Station. 2) All rooms face the ocean and there are Japanese-style tatami rooms, which felt very authentic. 3) The hotel has a large public bath (onsen) where you can enjoy a relaxing soak while watching the sunset or sunrise – it was incredibly romantic! I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"This resort hotel is perfectly located, spacious and right on the beach. The rooms are also spacious, and the balcony overlooks the Pacific Ocean – a truly stunning, unobstructed view. Your stay also includes a complimentary visit to the Fuua Infinity Ocean Spa, which is simply amazing, offering breathtaking views from the sky. The room was also very clean, and they used green tea-scented toilet paper. If I ever visit Atami again, this will definitely be my choice."

"The location is unbeatable, after exiting Atami Station through the shopping street is the hotel. Have to eat hotel breakfast, very Japanese style, such as fireworks festival to go, either book a high floor facing the sea, or you have to stay to the seaside, this hotel is also a way from the beach. The next day we also went to the Mishima Skywalk, to pay attention to the time of Atami to go."

"I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the front desk staff, especially Dar. She is helpful, kind, and I am truly grateful for her proactive assistance. Additionally, all the facilities in the hotel are excellent. It’s rare to find an onsen inside a hotel room with endless sea views, which is incredibly relaxing. The breakfast and club lounge experience were also great!"

"Very good location, less than 5 min from Atami station. Clean & modern. Simple Japanese breakfast provided. Convenience store nearby. Nice lobby to lounge around. Modern bedroom with comfy beds"

"Traditional hot spring-style inn, all meals in the room. The room has 2 floors, the lower level is the dining area, the upper level is the bedroom, washroom, bathroom, and a small patio area overlooking the beach. From Atami Station to the inn, it takes about 10 minutes to drag your luggage around the road. It takes about 5 minutes to walk up the stairs without luggage. It's about a 10-minute walk from the guesthouse to Atami Sunshine Beach to watch the fireworks festival. The inn staff was courteous, explaining what each dish was and how it should be eaten, and reminding us that it was time to leave for the fireworks festival. Although the cost of accommodation was greatly increased due to the fireworks festival, it was a good stay experience overall."

"Arriving in Atami from Tokyo in the afternoon, we were unfortunately caught in a heavy downpour. My wife and I found ourselves stranded at Atami Station. Our original plan was to have dinner first and then head to our accommodation once the rain eased, but it showed no signs of stopping. Everything you read in the reviews about the hotel's proprietress is absolutely true. She's Chinese and incredibly warm and hospitable. The proprietress couldn't reach us initially, so she went to great lengths, contacting my wife through Ctrip customer service, adding her on WeChat, and then personally driving to Atami Station to pick us up. We were genuinely, profoundly moved by her kindness! Upon arrival at the hotel, she enthusiastically introduced us to the hotel facilities and nearby attractions. She was incredibly thorough and passionate about it! Crucially, she cleared up all my questions about the 'Kinmedai Train,' which truly ensured our trip was seamless and perfect! The hotel room perfectly matched the photos. On a clear day, you can enjoy stunning views of the blue sky, white clouds, and the ocean. (I've included some photos!) I didn't get a chance to take many interior photos, but the tatami room was impressively spacious! Unfortunately, it was pouring rain again on our departure day back to Tokyo. The proprietress had her husband (a local who speaks a little Chinese) kindly drive us to the station. He was very friendly. The hotel offers excellent value for money! Highly, highly recommend!"

"I’m a little torn to rate the location average because it can be a pain to get to if you don’t have a car, but the view from the room (apparently all rooms have view of the sea) is great. A lot of variety for breakfast but nothing really stood out. I didn’t get to visit the onsen because they don’t allow tattooed people. I would stay again, especially in summer on a fireworks day!"

"It was an extremely fulfilling 2-day, 1-night trip to Atami! Thank you very much. All the staff were very polite and their manners and language were very good. I got the cheapest room, but I think it was worth it to work hard at my part-time job and save up money. Next time I want to stay in a suite! I'll do my best at my part-time job! Mochibe!"
