"This is one of the better hotels and the area, room are air conditioned and hot water is available. There is no fridge in the room which would have been nice. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. There is a large pool in the garden but the sea is not accessible as the tide and rocks make it difficult to access the sea. A big plus point is the free bus service to and from the airport. No need to juggle with taxi drivers on arrival. The rooms are cleaned although somewhat dated but it how most of the places are in these area. If you are coming to Sumba for creature comfort then this is not the place you want to be at"

"Location: A little bit far from the city, but good for someone looking for a quiet vibes Rooms: everything is in good condition, amenities are also good. Have smart TV who likes to watch netflix and youtube instead of local tv programs Cleanliness: Perfect. No problem at all. Service: FO and restaurant are quick and responsive. "The Padadita is a great hotel. There is no beach but the infinity pool is amazing and the whole pool area is a perfect place to relax. It's well designed to accomodate kids and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The WiFi, AC and hot water work great too! The food is tasty and the portions are both reasonably priced and large! We loved it and I was surprised to find such a nice and reasonably priced hotel on Sumba. It's a perfect place to take day trips around East Sumba from."

"The property is about a 20-minute scooter ride from Waingapu. The location is beautiful, especially so when you wake up in the early morning to sunrise and an unobstructed view of a river valley and its surrounding hills. Room and balcony is as good as it gets. Comfortable queen-sized bed with mosquito net, even if mosquitoes aren't really a problem here. Good selection of seafood at the restaurant and the staff are charming (Ina in particular). Scooter rental for exploring eastern Sumba can be arranged in a jiffy by the staff at the reception."
