📍 Hotels Road, Migdal shore, Migdal

"The hotel is close to the banks of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee). From the end of the garden, depending on the water level, the lake is about 100m. For some reason the hotel has created a path, but has not setup easy access from the end of the path into the lake. Check-in was painfully slow. I always leave a deposit on file so that we can order extras and charge to the room, but this hotel demands it and has a set amount per day. I found this very unusual and had not experienced this demand before in any other hotel. The rooms are sparsely decorated, but spacious enough. The bed was comfortable, but pillows were terrible. The bathroom needs renovation though and supplies toiletries are very basic. We had a room that faced the car park. The car park does not have enough space and although the hotel is remote (not in a city, with nothing else around) the plot next to the hotel has been turned into paid parking and the other adjacent lot is only for employees. They also have 4 electric car charging spots, but don't ensure that only electric cars park there. When I arrived, needing to charge, 3 spots were occupied by non-electric cars and the hotel appeared hopeless in getting them to move. There's building work going on in the plot next door, which meant that from 7am there was noisy construction work which woke us up. There was no warning of this. The pool area is small, with limited seating. People had 'reserved' seats from early, so all loungers were taken by 10am. There is a grassy area nearby with amazing views of the lake and Golan heights. That area is more peaceful and close enough to the pool. This is the first Isrotel (and probably any hotel in Israel) that does not have an egg station at breakfast (to get fried eggs etc). Very disappointing. Dinner on Friday night was good, but the dining room was over crowded so it was not pleasant to sit so squashed. The dining room did not offer lunch in Saturday, but there's the lobby dairy cafe and meat food truck that offers limited options. The hotel does not offer room service at any time. The shul is way too small, so many people had to spill out into the lobby area. A bigger room should be used. Despite the amazing lakeside location, this is one Isrotel I would not return to."

📍 Al Hadif St 1, Tiberias

"I was expecting a nice one night stay as part of my vacation. I was surprised to find the room to be disgusting. The door was open when i got there. The room smelled like bug spray, the floor was sticky, the glasses were filthy, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the bedsheets. I actually was thinking of sleeping in my car. Also, the carpets in the hallway are dirty. I do not recommend this place."

📍 Ha-Yarden St 1, Tiberias

"This was a fantastic place for years to sit and have an early breakfast right by the Sea. The place has obviously switched ownership because hospitality is last on the list. They seemed to cage in the patio with plastic for reasons most tourists would not understand; to much heat too much rain to much wind. All the reasons patio cafe's have indoor seating if the elements are too bad. Coupled with workers and servers that ignore you, I don't know how this place stays open. So sad it was such a quaint place to go."

📍 Eli'ezer Kaplan Blvd 1, Tiberias

"We came to stay in this hotel to relax before the day before we go to our fathers grave as a family. At 10 pm we hear a concert when we got back from dinner. We asked when it would be over. They said half an hour. So we all got ready for bed. After 35 min I called the front desk. Then10 min later again. She gave me same answer. She needs to check. At 5 min to 11 I called and she told me it can go all night. And offered to change our rooms. We’re all unpacked in bed at 11pm. If you are a party hotel, or know you’re having a concert tell your guests before you put them in the rooms above the concert deck. This was a terrible experience."

📍 Brurya St 13, Tiberias

"It's all bad, there's nothing good about it. The worst of the worst. The groups weren't indicated, so they asked you to leave your spot several times. Cleanliness was practically nonexistent. The mattresses and the rooms were awful. And that's just the beginning."

"We stayed there over the weekend of June 19–21, 2026. The hotel is indeed nice and the food is really delicious, but it is too small for the number of guests it accommodates. The walkways throughout the hotel, and especially in the dining room, are narrow and crowded. The internal parking lot is always full, and both the pool and the kids' playroom are packed and very congested. As a hotel that hosts families, it’s simply unpleasant to be woken up at 6:30 AM by the noise of children from adjacent rooms. Needless to say, there is no spa. The hotel has 4 charging stations for electric vehicles, which are occupied constantly—especially on Friday and Saturday, when inconsiderate guests use them just for parking and won't answer their phones. The hotel staff didn't really make an effort to clear them out, such as going up to their rooms to ask them to move. The hotel is about 100 meters from the Sea of Galilee. There is no proper beach, just a narrow, stagnant canal hidden in the vegetation—it's practically a swamp.

"If you are looking for a high-class hotel experience in the Tiberias area, you are not going to find it here. Even with the leaking AC, which the hotel staff took care of, my stay here was pleasant enough. Meals here are pretty basic, with one great exception. On certain nights, the hotel hosts a restaurant, Shulchan Hagalil. What a pleasant surprise. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the service was great."

Galei Kinneret Hotel ★★★★
"It is a nicely renovated hotel but there are way too many issues to enjoy a nice vacation. Consider skipping this one at least until the end of the year or the war, so that hopefully they get back some more professional managers and employees to better run the property (since one has to assume it is so badly run because the main management/employees are deployed in the war at the moment). There are too many issues to list, but just to give you an idea of a couple: -Your GPS will take you to a hotel gate that doesn't have any sign that you are at the right place/hotel name. -People at check-in and everywhere at the hotel will likely Not speak English so be prepared to try to speak in Hebrew. -You might book a room and be given a different type that is not suitable with enough beds. -Weird situation where you have to go through the hotel lobby when going from the pool to the spa since the spa area (e.g. indoor hot tub) is all locked from the pool area. -Similarly weird, need to walk through the dining room area (e.g. in between people trying to enjoy their meal) to take elevator to your room. -No shade at all in the pool until later in the day (consider some trees or tarp at least on 1 end of the pool??). -Only 1 complimentary activity a day at 8:30am (we went to morning yoga but the instructor never showed up/was apparently running late). -No communication from staff to address concerns during or after stay. From the reviews online, it appears that customer service is a common issue with many of the nicer hotels in the area (e.g. Galei Kinneret, The Setai across the lake..). Consider staying in a different area/hotel altogether with better customer service until these issues are resolved, and just do a day trip there instead. The Ritz in Herzliya is a clear winner in that department at the moment and a perfect alternative."

"As soon as we entered the front door, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Amoon and Nati were so accommodating. They made us feel like we were the most important guests in the hotel. Every time we passed though the lobby, Amoon or Nati called us by name with a warm greeting. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was an enjoyable one."
