"We had a pleasant one night stay in El Rincon. It is easy half hour drive from the windmills in Consuegra. The accommodation is located in small town on a quiet plaza. We parked easily along the small park in the middle of plaza. It is a traditional house furnished beautifully with antiques. We had a good size room on the second floor. Everything was very clean. Our host Juan was welcoming and friendly. Our Spanish is very basic, but we could communicate through Google translator. Breakfast was simple and tasty. We had a good rest in El Rincon and we highly recommend this place for a comfort, convenient location and a great hospitality."

"Lights and shadows,... nice place but the room is not very clean, the bathroom, the TV can't see the channels, the phone doesn't work. The reception service was very regular and there was little desire to tell anything to see in the town. On Saturdays, forget about a nap or a wedding with loud music."

"Alarcon is an absolutely amazing village, almost totally surrounded by the Rio Jucar and outlying fortifications. Imensely photogenic. This small Parador is in a stunning building, with amazing ambience, friendly staff and great food. We have stayed in a number of Paradores and this is our favourite. Our Junior Suite in the tower, with its own access to the battlements was a unique experience. Real Spain at its best!"

Vida des Antes ticks all the boxes and we have used it several times since 2019 when I last reviewed. Standards have been maintained so why look anywhere else.?
