Even though it’s not like the big luxury hotels, the service was exactly like it, would definitely recommend it !!! 100% excellent

I really loved this hotel! The location is super convenient and I had a really comfortable two-night stay. The room, though small, had everything I needed. The bed was great, and the toilet had a bidet which was a nice touch. The bathroom lighting was also very bright! My only minor issues were that the room felt a little dusty and the dryer needed to run twice to fully dry clothes. Other than that, everything was excellent! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kaohsiung!

Pros: The hotel is incredibly close to Kaohsiung Station, just a four or five-minute walk away. This is super convenient for anyone traveling without a car and relying primarily on public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful, always enthusiastic to assist with any issues. Their service definitely enhanced the overall experience. Cons: The soundproofing is really poor. You can hear almost everything happening on the entire floor, whether it's from nearby rooms or further down the hall. It seemed like the guests at this hotel were quite late-nighters; people were still moving around, showering, and using the restroom well past midnight. This would be a problem for light sleepers. Also, there are quite a few rooms on each floor, but only one elevator. During peak hours, you might have to wait a little while. Overall Impression: Overall, my rating is still on the positive side. If I'm ever in Kaohsiung alone again and prioritize convenient transportation, I would definitely consider staying here again. Hotel brief: The ground floor has the reception area and a few sofas for lounging; the second floor houses the restaurant and hot spring area; and all floors from the third upwards are guest rooms, with bathroom facilities on each floor.

Finding this room rate on Saturday, with parking and breakfast included, is quite difficult, so honestly, you can't expect too much. Although it's a huge improvement over the previous two nights 😆 There seem to be two parking spaces at the entrance. I was able to park there every time I came back. If you park in a street parking space, the hotel will give you a NT$100 subsidy. The Wumiao parking lot is a franchise, but only one parking space is allowed. Remember to get a parking ticket from the front desk. There's an empty parking space next to the hotel, but it doesn't belong to the hotel. The hotel interior shows signs of age. If you have very high expectations, I wouldn't recommend it. Breakfast is simple but decent. You'll definitely be full, and the taste is pretty good. 4-ppl family room only provides 2 door-key-cards. Talked to the manager so each of us could have door-key-card. The answer: it is a 2-door-key-card policy for all room types & advised to drop the door-key-card at the receptionist when family members in-out the hotel. Wow 4-ppl room contributes higher revenue than 2-ppl room to the hotel but receive LESS convenience, instead also put the responsibility to customers using the receptionist so to shuffle the door-key-cards among us?! The hotel replied my Google Map review comment saying 2-door-key policy is to protect customer safety. We provided all names in booking and the hotel copied my passport at the check in. Having these personal information isn't SAFE enough to the hotel? This is not a friendly service policy to bigger group of customers.

The fee was paid during registration. Verification at the restaurant is time-consuming and requires coordination with the hotel. This saves time.

Very happy with my stay here! Great location, the hotel is super clean and staff were friendly. The bed is super comfortable! Free coffee and water and a few snacks at the reception. The only downside was the cleaning staff making lots of noise at 8am on a Saturday morning but I had to get up anyway. I’d come back for sure.

My previous excellent experience at the Grand Hotel Taipei led me to choose the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung this time. Although the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is a bit dated, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the surrounding environment is very peaceful. It also boasts a terrace with a wonderful view, and the hotel staff are very professional.

We got a connecting room that catered to our needs. The hotel is in a strategic location and is near an MRT station. The downside of this hotel is that the air-conditioning temperature is preset and cannot be adjusted. We asked the receptionist to lower it, but the issue was not resolved in one of the rooms and it still felt warm. We went back to the receptionist the next day to request another adjustment. They informed us that the controller was faulty and provided us with a fan instead. At least they made an effort to help. Despite this hiccup, we would still recommend this hotel.

The hotel was great; I stayed there for four consecutive nights and will definitely stay here again next time I go.
