"Sawasdee ka from Thailand 😍❤️
This was my third time visiting Dublin, and I can honestly say this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in so far.😍❤️
At first, we didn’t have high expectations because the entrance is quite narrow and doesn’t really reflect what the hotel is like inside. However, the moment we stepped into our room, we were surprised. The room was spacious, clean, and much better than expected❤️
The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a hair dryer, coffee machine, complimentary bottled water, tea, and coffee. The facilities were excellent, and everything was well maintained🙏🙏🙏
The location is also fantastic and within walking distance of many attractions, making it easy to explore Dublin☘️🇮🇪
Highly recommend ✅✅"
"A neat and brand new hotel with rooms decorated in a kind of industrial style, blended with minimalist style. The staffs there could satisfy client's needs in time and avoid disturbing him/her. There are Swiss-made hairdryer, smart television with mainstream channels in Europe, fine tissues and a bag for packing something. The environment of Ruby Molly was cordial and restful, the bar on the ground floor was not noisy, or was filled with miasma. Here're some suggestions regqrdinh the improvement and settlement of existing drawbacks: 1. Maybe it'll be better to equip the rooms with electric kettles or water dispensers. 2. Check and maintain the audios of certain rooms, which may not work well.
"The chapel experience was quite nice, but there is only one shared toilet for more than 20 people, the same for man and women. Dim lights make the room quite private, we didn't see anyone, however beds are very close to each other so you can hear people snore and your bed shakes if someone staying in the pod next to you climbs on the bed. Moreover, as it's dark in the room, people obviously make more noise walking and getting ready in the morning.
The top pod is much smaller than the bottom one as it needs to fit the chapels ceiling. The toilets were clean but very busy, the free breakfast is nice and the staff is friendly."
"The service was generally good, except for an issue we experienced with a staff member named Peter. Despite having a prepaid and pre-booked stay, we were threatened with cancellation because we requested to check in at 9:30 pm after receiving no response from the property. The automatic door was locked, there was no one at the check-in desk, and we had to ask another staff member to direct us to someone who could assist. Peter eventually came to help, stating he was doing so out of his busy schedule. I expressed that we would prefer to be checked in by the staff member assigned to that role, at which point he stated he would cancel our booking. When we asked on what grounds, he said he was the manager. It was an unusual and uncomfortable interaction, especially given that we were simply trying to check in to a stay we had already paid for."
"I’ve never been one to write reviews however this hotel is a must if you’re visiting Dublin! Prime location as it’s on the main strip in the temple bar area, brilliant pubs, eateries and shops nearby.
We were warmly greeted by a lovely man on the security desk who directed us downstairs to check in, room was ready before check in time so always ring or pop in even if you’re early to see if your room is ready. Reception staff were polite and very helpful offering maps of the local area, recommending a restaurant, offering to book taxis, etc.
Our room was a twin, plenty of room for 2 adults with added comforts of a fan and mini fridge. The en-suite was clean and modern, the shower was amazing especially with the included toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser) which smell lovely. We did request a south facing room and it was not noisy at all.
We had breakfast from the la carte menu, freshly cooked, tasted lovely with generous portions.
On check out we stored our luggage as our flight was late evening, once again offering to book us a taxi for the airport, very helpful!"
"There were bananas and apples at the reception, so I had bananas for breakfast. This was very helpful as food costs are high. The location is very good, close to Trinity College and Dublin Castle, and buses stop there.
I was a bit concerned about the lack of a hairdryer, but the price was reasonable and I'm glad I stayed there."
"I’ve stayed in this hotel several times because to location is amazing and the staff are friendly. I always book the same style of room and normally find I have enough space to move around, however this time our room was extremely small and it was difficult to even open the bathroom door. Keep in mind that the room sizes vary greatly."
"The hotel is in the city center. It's a 10-minute walk from the Dublin Express airport bus stop. There are many bus options nearby to get to other attractions, and most Galway tour group meeting points are also in this area. The bathrooms and showers are very clean, and the staff cleans them frequently. The only downside is that accommodation prices in Dublin are generally very expensive."
"It was comfortable with a great location. Staff were all fantastic. The room is small but to be expected. We were travelling light but imagine if we both had check in size suitcases it would have been tough. The location couldn’t have been better though"

Great
AAlexIt was a great stay overall. The location was perfect. It was near the center of Dublin. But was set in a quiet neighborhood just outside it. It is a doable walk to a park set along the water. I loved the Medieval Theme. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dual shower heads are a nice setup. .Request a view of the front of the hotel. The only potential negative is the distance from the airport and the train.
AAnonymous UserThere are many Chinese supermarkets and restaurants downstairs in the hotel, and the front desk has dedicated security personnel who will help with takeout. The breakfast is also plentiful. However, there's an epic bug: the outermost elevator goes down to the -1 floor, which is a staff-only area. The laundry room is on the same floor, separated by a door with access control (Figure 10). Entering the staff area requires a card, and here's the interesting thing: if you finish doing laundry and press the elevator button, and the staff elevator comes down, you can't get through because your room card can't be used on that door. You either have to wait for that elevator to go up before the other regular elevators come down, or you have to use the adjacent stairs. On the day of check-out, I happened to meet someone in a suit, presumably the manager, and I mentioned it to him. I look forward to seeing how things are improved.
JJunI recently stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin and found its location on O'Connell Street to be exceptionally convenient for exploring Dublin's main attractions. The room was clean and featured a mini-fridge, which was useful for keeping drinks cool.
However, the breakfast experience was underwhelming. The selection lacked variety, and the quality didn't meet expectations. Additionally, the lobby area felt cramped during peak times, making it less inviting for relaxation.
While the hotel's central location is a significant advantage, improvements in breakfast offerings and lobby comfort would enhance the overall guest experience.
BBellabelGood location - distant enough from the crowded city center but close enough to walk over to most of the attractions & the River Liffey.
And sorry to share this: There was a very nice Bread41 Bakery just round the corner of the hotel - don’t miss it for breakfast 😛
TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
GGuest UserVery near to airport. Choose this hotel because of the early shuttle service which gives me ease of mind. The hotel staff immediately arranged a taxi for us free on the house when the shuttle bus did not arrive on time. Very good service!
GGuest UserThe Bonnington is usually my go to hotel in dublin, however the stay before this and now this stay has made me look for somewhere else in future. The staff as always were exceptional, however our room was incorrectly rang my reception at 5am, (and on a previous stay we were awoken in the middle of the night by a false fire alarm, so a full nights sleep is not a guarantee).
What was the most frustrating is the general disrepair of the hotel. The rooms are fairly small so for the higher price point you are really paying for the facilities. The smaller issues like furniture being old and leather chairs peeling and flaking were not a big problem, just a mild annoyance. However the bath/shower leaking everywhere when used from the base of the tub and leaving the floor soaking wet, the steam room being out of order and us not being informed of this when or even after booking, and the crowdedness and of the pool and other facilities because of non hotel users with memberships to the leisure clubs taking up the whole hot tub and sauna at once in personal groups was frustrating.
The room was also extremely hot, and the AC very very loud while not actually doing much to cool the room. There was nothing particularly stay ruining about it however if you’re paying over 200 euro for one night somewhere you would expect things to be at least average.
The main redemption was the friendliness and kindness of the staff.
GGuest UserCannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were available around the clock to cater to our every need and made this such a special trip. Thank you so much
GGuest UserThe hotel was advertised with parking, the parking was an extra €18 per 12 hours and was 500 mtrs away in a public car park, which with all the one way streets took forever to access, there wasn’t even space to park at the front to unload bags except in a no standing zone.
The room was so small we had nowhere for our bags and you had to roll across the bed to access either side. It was also so hard the floor would have been more comfortable.
This hotel is definitely not value for money.
The tea and coffee making machine in the foyer made the worst tea I have ever tasted.
GGuest UserMy husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.
To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.
Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!
