Hotel is great, it has great location (practically everything you can reach by foot), staff is nice ready to help and rooms are clean. Hotel is for everyone that will not be bothered if on weekends it’s a little bit louder because of pubs around. We spend a great time here.

Ahhhh, you must make arrangements in advance. It’s really expensive at the last minute. The environment is pretty good. The first floor is a public area with a kitchen for use. You can make your own coffee. There is a storage for large items on the first floor. room (free but not responsible for loss) and a paid storage locker similar to a courier locker. The room has an independent bathroom, which is okay. Bath towels can be rented one by one. I didn't see any slippers. The location is relatively convenient, and you can go to surrounding attractions and supermarkets. The front desk is very friendly, hahaha

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the service was warm and welcoming, but it didn't quite compare to similar rooms in China, so don't have too high expectations.

Beautiful little getaway in a very kind of hidden location. The hotel itself is very nice , but possibly a bit overpriced. The only real problem we had was that the little street it’s located on is very dirty , filled with trash etc. we don’t think anyone cleans that street. If you can walk over the trash , it’s a great little place to stay. (Tiny rooms - best for a single traveler )
Gardiner House is set in historic Georgian Dublin, just north of the city centre, in a stunning 200-year-old converted Victorian chapel. Discover a historic city centre location, lively social nights and plenty of cool areas to relax and explore. Plenty restaurants around (including some partners where you can enjoy some meal deals) and located just 15 min walking from City Centre. There's also a 24h bus just around the corner going to the Airport.
Individual lockers are available (bring a small padlock, or buy one at reception). Earplugs, towels, toiletries, and adaptors are also sold at reception. Laundry facilities are available for an extra fee. Enjoy the backyard with seating, a ping-pong table, BBQ facility, bike racks, and pre-booked car parking. Fresh bed linen, power outlets, and reading lights for each bed. Hairdryers, irons, and board games can be borrowed at reception. Spacious rooms are cleaned daily, with multiple bathrooms on each floor.
Guests will receive a key-card to access the building (show to the receptionist at entrance) and must to return it upon check-out. Guests must present a valid Passport (Non-EU citizens) or ID/Driver's Licence (EU citizens) upon check-in. The chapel experience was quite nice, but there is only one shared toilet for more than 20 people, the same for man and women. Dim lights make the room quite private, we didn't see anyone, however beds are very close to each other so you can hear people snore and your bed shakes if someone staying in the pod next to you climbs on the bed. Moreover, as it's dark in the room, people obviously make more noise walking and getting ready in the morning.
The top pod is much smaller than the bottom one as it needs to fit the chapels ceiling. The toilets were clean but very busy, the free breakfast is nice and the staff is friendly.

Really happy with this hotel. Booked it last minute when I was late for my ferry and did not want to travel during the night.
The room was really clean and tidy. Receptionist Mauricio (?) was very pleasant and helpful. As I was not planning to stay in Dublin overnight, I had no toothbrush. I did not think that Travelodge can provide one, but there is no shame in asking. Hooray! I got a disposable dental kit, that really made my stay much more comfortable.
The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, it does look much more posh that an average travelodge. I wanted some ice for my drink at the room. Got a glass full of ice at the bar with no problem.
The only downside could be if you are a couple and travelling with 2 or more large suitcases. The room is on a smaller side.
Very happy with my last minute decision to stay at this hotel.

The room was filled with sunlight, and the housekeeping service kept it very clean. The hotel's location in the city center makes transportation very convenient. I especially want to highlight the hotel's breakfast and restaurant service: the staff were very warm and patient, and the food was plentiful and delicious.

Great
JJunI recently stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin and found its location on O'Connell Street to be exceptionally convenient for exploring Dublin's main attractions. The room was clean and featured a mini-fridge, which was useful for keeping drinks cool.
However, the breakfast experience was underwhelming. The selection lacked variety, and the quality didn't meet expectations. Additionally, the lobby area felt cramped during peak times, making it less inviting for relaxation.
While the hotel's central location is a significant advantage, improvements in breakfast offerings and lobby comfort would enhance the overall guest experience.
AAlexIt was a great stay overall. The location was perfect. It was near the center of Dublin. But was set in a quiet neighborhood just outside it. It is a doable walk to a park set along the water. I loved the Medieval Theme. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dual shower heads are a nice setup. .Request a view of the front of the hotel. The only potential negative is the distance from the airport and the train.
TT___HNo one reply my in-app message so I have to call. And it’s weird that the receptionist is not clear about my Gold membership benefits such as late checkout and free breakfast but what I find the most disrespectful is that the receptionist has to ask the duty manager for my requests yet the manager was just chatting with other staff and she never smile at me whenever I pass by and look at her. I’d love to stay again but the reception should be trained properly again.
NNatalia ConstandinouWe were greeted by friendly staff member when we got there ( dark haired lady) who said it was too early to check in but we could leave our bags with her and she said to try around 2pm as we got there just after 1pm due to an early morning flight.
The room was very clean and spacious, exactly as it looked in the photos advertised and the apartment was definitely soundproof.
The location was easy to find and walking distance to the city centre.
We didn't have any issues during our stay apart from the room was a little too warm and the air con system didn't blow out much cold air.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend or visit again !

TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
GGuest UserThe Bonnington is usually my go to hotel in dublin, however the stay before this and now this stay has made me look for somewhere else in future. The staff as always were exceptional, however our room was incorrectly rang my reception at 5am, (and on a previous stay we were awoken in the middle of the night by a false fire alarm, so a full nights sleep is not a guarantee).
What was the most frustrating is the general disrepair of the hotel. The rooms are fairly small so for the higher price point you are really paying for the facilities. The smaller issues like furniture being old and leather chairs peeling and flaking were not a big problem, just a mild annoyance. However the bath/shower leaking everywhere when used from the base of the tub and leaving the floor soaking wet, the steam room being out of order and us not being informed of this when or even after booking, and the crowdedness and of the pool and other facilities because of non hotel users with memberships to the leisure clubs taking up the whole hot tub and sauna at once in personal groups was frustrating.
The room was also extremely hot, and the AC very very loud while not actually doing much to cool the room. There was nothing particularly stay ruining about it however if you’re paying over 200 euro for one night somewhere you would expect things to be at least average.
The main redemption was the friendliness and kindness of the staff.
GGuest UserVery near to airport. Choose this hotel because of the early shuttle service which gives me ease of mind. The hotel staff immediately arranged a taxi for us free on the house when the shuttle bus did not arrive on time. Very good service!
GGuest UserCannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were available around the clock to cater to our every need and made this such a special trip. Thank you so much
GGuest UserMy husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.
To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.
Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!
GGuest UserVery cheap and a great location, easy to walk to most major landmarks in the city. Friendly staff. Only small downside is that, although my room was very clean on arrival, it wasn’t cleaned again at any point during my 3 night stay (not sure if this is normal or only my experience). However, I would definitely still stay here again!
