Facilities: Fully equipped, you can even do some simple cooking yourself. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean. Environment: Right by the sea, with Korea's most beautiful McDonald's and a popular cafe just next door. There are also plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Service: The owner couple provided very warm service.

Jeju bus terminal stop-beware of the separate blue and green bus stop so you wont missed your bus. Naver map and Tmoney help your journey around Jeju. Mr. Peter, himself, messaged me first through trip.com about the time I will be there at their place, which I was hesitant to do that but luckily, he did and that was surprising. Also, he let me leave my luggage in advance. Staff speaks English well and hospitable. As soon as you check in, staff will provide the stuff you needed for your stay in the room plus the indoor slipper to switch with your outdoor shoes to be placed in the closet at the entrance. NO elevator but the girl staff offered to carry my luggage to the room. There is an area in the 2nd floor for dining—designated place to eat—with microwave, water dispenser, dishes and utensils, fridge and freezer, you can cook and wash your dishes. There is a small area designated for reading/relaxing in the 3rd floor, where the entrance to the rooftop(to watch Hallasan sunset and for 8pm projector movie night). 2nd floor for male guests while 3rd fl for females. Sleeping room(is really for sleeping, no room to stretch only in your bed—is very comfortable with one outlet and a lamp) is separate from the shower area with slippers(washbasin/sink and enclosed shower stalls-body wash & shampoo) from the toilet stalls and from the powder/mirror area with hairdryer. If you have a small to medium luggage, you can store it under the bunkbed. There are lockers in every room (a normal school backpack could fit). Walking distance to Yongduam Rock to Yeongyon Bridge to boardwalk for coastal walks—great cafes to watch waves & landing planes and local resto—to Jungang Shopping Street to Jungang Underground Mall to Dongmun Market. If you like mochi, next door of the Mir is delicious and affordable Jeju Mochi which is priced twice in the airport. Convenience stores (7-eleven next door), chicken&fries and local resto around the corner. Mr. Peter met him during the breakfast. He prepared the breakfast—egg sandwich which comes w/black coffee or orange juice. He is nice and approachable. The Mir Guesthouse’s is designed from the Yongduam Rock, it is cool, clean, and magnificent. Solo traveling is fun—meeting new faces, different nationalities, cultures, and witness the amazing nature’s wonder.

Service: Arrived at 12 AM Korea time, and the front desk gentleman spoke excellent Chinese, which made communication very easy. The hotel hallway was wide and smelled lovely. Even though it was fully booked, it was very quiet for sleeping, so the soundproofing seems good. Cleanliness: Housekeeping cleaned daily. There were no disposable toothbrushes, so you'll need to bring your own. The leather slippers weren't disposable either, so I'd recommend bringing your own slippers. Facilities: There's a kettle and a mini-fridge, with mineral water replenished daily. There are two Chinese-style power outlets, but the bedside outlets are Korean, so it's more convenient to bring your own adapter if you need one. Surroundings: The CU downstairs is open from 6:30 AM to 11 PM, but there's a 24-hour CU just 150 meters away. There are also 24-hour pollock soup and pork bone soup restaurants nearby. Compose Coffee is across the street. Overall, it's great, the streets are quiet, and it's easy to catch a taxi.

This hotel is located right above Lotte Duty Free, making the transportation incredibly convenient. Even when we booked day tours, we were always the first stop. Plus, the hotel offers a free airport shuttle – it's a 15-seater on a first-come, first-served basis. And a huge bonus: you don't need a converter for charging, which is really helpful! Just a small suggestion: it would be great to have a chain on the bathtub stopper to prevent splashes. As for the pool, it costs around 60 for a swim, but if a child goes, the adult accompanying them also has to pay, essentially making it a two-person charge.

We visited in July during the summer holidays and stayed at both Meisen Glide Hotel and the adjacent Bolton. Although Bolton was a few hundred yuan more expensive, the overall experience was better than Meisen. Firstly, the front desk service at both was good, but Bolton's front desk had the advantage of seamless Chinese communication. Secondly, the room at Meisen—the first plastic cover of the toilet had several urine stains. At first, I couldn't believe it and thought it was just the toilet yellowing from age, but when I wiped it with a wet wipe, it came right off, and it was yellow—definitely urine stains. For this price, the toilet wasn't even cleaned properly; I was truly speechless… Lastly, Meisen's room didn't have an electric mosquito repellent, and I was woken up twice by mosquitoes at night. Bolton, on the other hand, smelled lovely as soon as you entered the room.

The hotel's location is impeccable, very close to Shilla Duty Free. The front desk staff speak Chinese, and their service is attentive, making for a very comfortable stay. Here's an important heads-up for my fellow travelers coming to Jeju: be extra cautious with the male clerk working at the CU convenience store diagonally opposite the hotel on July 18th between 5 PM and 6 PM. The total amount at checkout didn't match my calculation. After paying, I asked him for the receipt, and he accurately said ”xiaopiao” (receipt) in Chinese, clearly understanding Chinese perfectly. When I tried to communicate in English, his demeanor soured, and he used hostile and very unfriendly language. He didn't care at all, even when I told him I would report it to headquarters.

The first room we checked into had some unidentified sticky residue on the bathroom wall, and the AC was broken in both rooms we were shown. After an hour and a half of troubleshooting, they realized it couldn't be fixed and moved us to a much better room. The new room was great; the air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was quiet at night. Next time, I'd definitely choose to stay in this upgraded room type. Overall, it's a hotel with good value, a great location, and excellent service. The self-service kiosks were also very convenient to use.

The first thing I’m really impressed with is the excellent service. They reply to messages very quickly, and they answer every question. If you have any issues, you can contact them anytime and they’re always helpful. The hotel is located right in the city center, with lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Even though I traveled alone, I still felt safe the whole time. The room is spacious and comfortable. It’s also super convenient for shopping because everything is within walking distance thanks to the central location.
