"This hotel is on the hill about 2km up from the Lindau waterfront so is best for travelers with a car. There is free parking outside. The hotel is in a large building surrounded by gardens with a good view over a small vineyard towards Lake Constance. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was a warm night, so the lack of air conditioning was noted. Breakfast was excellent in the sunny conservatory. The tariff was on the high side but typical of Lindau hotels."

"We always stay in Lindau when traveling to Europe as we love the place. Only staying one night with my friends, we weren't able to stay in the hotel we usually stay at and so tried this place. It is related to the Bayerisch Hof next door where my parents have stayed many a time. It is pricey, I will say that but it is very, very nice. Reception was friendly and courteous and helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable and clean. The balcony over-looking the harbor and the lighthouse was great. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we had on our whole trip. Overall this is a great a place to stay when in Lindau with a great location and easy walking access to everything. They even have their own parking garage. Would definitely stay here again."

"The reception was welcoming. The beds were comfortable and clean as were the shower and the toilet. But the bedroom was too hot. the view isn’t the best. The rooms were carpeted red with centre walls giving it a slightly old fashioned feel. On this hot day, airco would have helped more than the table fans… The breakfast was very hearty and a wide range of food available"

"The hotel is an absolute experience - an unexpected, positive surprise. I had booked the hotel to go from here to the Bregenzer Festspiele and therefore not really looked at the whole package in advance. I was very pleasantly surprised when we stood in front of this beautiful building in a great parklandy with direct sea access and beach bath. It is a "Grand Hotel" experience that easily reminds of past times. The staff are very friendly, super professional and helpful. We had booked with half-pension and that would I do again at this hotel at any time. That The dining was good and rich, the terrace or also the dining room fantastic with great view and service. The rooms have come a little in the years, but have their own charm, are generous in size. The home beach pool is the hit, directly on the lake, with pool or sea access, lying and an unslaughty location. All in all - I would like to come back and look very forward to it. "

"A very positive experience. The hotel is located in a very quite area in Lindau, however close to the island. It keeps what mentioned on their web pages: room is nice and well equipped, bathroom is ok with a large shower, breakfast is plentiful and rich of sweets and savory, with fresh fruits that are different every day. To see it's more a house than a hotel, and this makes a positive difference in my opinion, because it makes you feel almost at home. And breakfast in the veranda is a great way to start the day. I definitely recommend it."

"Our room in the Hotel Reutemann was so great - large, beautiful balcony overlooking the lake and the pool. The location is super - on the lake in the heart of Lindau and with (paid) private parking! The room was large, with all the conveniences, and super comfortable and quiet. The hotel has an indoor pool also, which we used as the weather was unusually poor for August the 2 days we were there. The indoor pool was a bit cold, but nice to refresh and relax after site seeing. Breakfast was very good - a lot of choices including eggs made to order. I am sad the weather didn't cooperate for our visit to Bodensee, but if/when I go back, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. "

"Well located a minutes to the harbour. We had a spacious room with a small seating area. Although a long walk to the room from the lift. Looks like this hotel has taken up two buildings connected . Pillows not good but that seems to be a given in this part of Germany. No extras in room like fridge , water , kettle . No shampoo or conditioner just some soap. Standard 3 star. But it was quiet and sheets were fresh. Very clean room. Did not use breakfast as not included in my rate ."

"Had a very lovely stay! Had been wanting to stay here as I couldn't find another high end hotel with direct lakefront access and this was exactly what I was looking for. The pool/lawn area was wonderful, and the restaurant was fantastic (ate all three meals there by choice). This is a classic "grand hotel" with an impressive facade and excellent service (not sure what the bad service review was all about). My room did not have air conditioning so it is worth checking if any rooms do if you are there in peak summer but in early or late summer it would not be needed. The hotel is walking distance to Lindau island, about 45 minutes, or you can rent bikes and be there in 10. Overall, there are some things that could use updating such as the outside of the building, but it was a great value and one of the most beautiful settings I have been in in Germany. The spa is also brand new and top notch with multiple saunas, steam rooms, and an indoor pool."
