Our host was very kind, and although he didn't speak English, we were able to communicate without any problems. We had dinner there both evenings; the meals were delicious, mainly featuring fish that the owner catches himself. Our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this guesthouse in a quiet and pleasant village."

"The owner was very kind and it was a great place. For dinner and breakfast, I was very satisfied to be able to eat lots of fish caught in Lake Biwa, such as sweetfish and rainbow trout. I also had some delicious local sake. The futon was soft and I slept soundly. The bathroom is shared, but it was clean. Access is not a problem as it is within a 10-minute walk from the station, but there are no convenience stores nearby, so I recommend buying some food in advance."
