"On arrival, we thought we would have to take the suitcases to the mountain to the hotel. And in fact they left the airport of Mardina and immediately waited for us by the Havaş bus and the driver kindly said that we would be taken directly to the hotel. They went right next to the hotel door, which were very pleased. While waiting for the settlement, we were offered tea. In general, the staff is polite and friendly, though speaking English badly, but it didn't prevent us, there is an interpreter and a sister speaks Turkish. In general, in Mardine, it is bad with English, in terms of speaking speech. The room was three-bedroom, like in the old castle. We already lived in a similar place in Kapadokia. The breakfast is Turkish, we really liked the Turkish coffee excellent. And the view from the terrace at all is a bomb, to Mesopotamia. In general, next time only there!"

"The location is a little hard to find, but there is a sign that looks like the entrance just off the bus road. If you call the phone number written there, they will come to pick you up, so it wasn't a problem. I chose the room-selection plan, and they assigned me a room with a good view, which was great. Even if you stay in a room without a view, the view from the shared terrace is amazing. The room was clean, and the breakfast menu was slightly different every day, so I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were also very kind and helpful, showing me how to ride the bus and other things. The tea and coffee we had on the shared terrace was also exceptional. I would definitely stay here again when I come to Mardin."

"I liked the hotel and its facilities. I lost my phone in Mardin and the reception helped me find it technically. I have only one complaint. I bought this hotel through Trip.com. But the reception kept telling me that a reservation was made and payment was not received. They claimed that I did not pay even though I showed them my credit card statement and the screenshot I took from the trip application as PAID. There is obviously a systemic non-contact situation that has nothing to do with me. The receptionist tried to charge a credit card registered on the internet without my permission and when she could not receive payment, she said that my credit card was not valid. I made the payment through the application once and did not allow it to be recorded. I did not make a reservation as a prepayment, I paid in full, why would I record my credit card in the system and connect it. We encountered this problem when we entered the hotel, they did not solve it and when we left, they came again with the same statement and insisted that we did not pay even though we tried to say that we would catch the plane. The only thing that overshadowed my hotel stay was this lack of communication. If you make a payment from this hotel through another intermediary and purchase a service, be sure to keep the statements and screen recordings showing that you made the payment, you will not be able to justify yourself later."

"The hotel is beautiful and very modernly furnished, and the staff, especially Sibel, are very friendly. The hotel owner, Ömer Bey, is also very friendly and polite. We had a fantastic view and a very nice, large room. Our breakfast was also delicious. The only thing that really bothered me was having to climb all those stairs to get to town."

"I really liked the hotel's common areas: beautiful terraces with stunning views. Tea and coffee are also readily available. A traditional Turkish breakfast is served every morning, though I wish there were more hot food, as it's not enough for two. Housekeeping: there's none at all, which surprised me greatly. Unless you ask for the trash to be emptied, they're reluctant to do so. There wasn't even a single wet cleaning in three days. The toilet wasn't working; they tried to fix it, but it started leaking, and the noise was disturbing my sleep. It was fixed two days later. The staff kept entering the room with their shoes on, which is very unhygienic. The room itself wasn't damp, the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel's huge advantages include the incredible views and its convenient location on the main street."

"It's in a very beautiful location in the middle of Old Mardin. The room was nice and the view from the terrace was amazing. (The room photos seem to be the same for all room plans, so it's probably best to check with the hotel in advance to make things smoother.) The shower was easy to use and the hairdryer was powerful. The breakfast was also sufficient. There were obviously more side dishes than I could eat, so I ended up leaving a lot of them every morning, which I felt was a waste. I wish we could only take what we needed... Also, although this may be difficult in Turkey, it would be nice if the breakfast venue was non-smoking. The only disappointment was that everyone, including the staff, smoked indoors, so I couldn't relax in the shared spaces. However, there were no other issues, and the location and atmosphere were really great, so it was definitely a comfortable hotel."

"Birston Mansion is in a beautiful location, the rooms are lovely, very comfortable and spacious. The staff are very attentive and sincere, very helpful in every matter.
