Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Center & Spa
8.7 (248 reviews)

Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Center & Spa ★★★★

📍 8500 Warden Avenue, Markham

"Absolutely terrible! I'm eight months pregnant, and because I'm Chinese and don't speak English, I always show them translations. But they discriminate against Chinese people! Multiple times, they'd burst into my room without knocking, or deny receiving information I'd clearly given them, with the manager claiming no notice was given. When I asked to review the surveillance footage, a short woman actually said, 'Why should we show you the surveillance? You don't understand English, so it's your own fault.' I've never, ever, ever seen anything like this. When I said I'd call the police, they mockingly said, 'Go ahead, let's see who's right.' It's truly disgusting, so, so, so disgusting, everyone. The last day was even worse; even though I'd informed them in advance, they denied it and burst into my room again. Disgusting. I don't think these people deserve to be called employees. And I emphasized repeatedly that I was pregnant! Towards the end, I even said I was pregnant and unwell, unable to move around, and several male managers sneered, 'If you don't come over here, we'll just throw your things out...' In the end, as a pregnant woman, they tormented me until I had abdominal pain for half the day! What's more, I'd already stayed here for 14 days, and not a single day did I get a good rest. Seriously, do not book this hotel, absolutely do not, unless you want to be bullied to death. My health has suffered, my baby's health is at risk, and you wouldn't believe their faces – that cold smirk, that disdain, as if other people's lives don't matter. It's truly, truly, truly repulsive. If I get the chance, I will contact the Chinese Embassy to intervene!"

📍 7255 Warden Ave, Markham

"The hotel's cleanliness was subpar; the elevator carpet was consistently dirty. The location was decent, close to dining and transportation, and there was ample parking. However, the facilities were old. The air conditioning in the rooms had a loud humming noise that was very disruptive, and I tried multiple rooms with the same issue, which was confirmed by the maintenance staff. The elevators were frequently out of order. The service was lacking; my room wasn't cleaned on the first day as promised, and the front desk staff seemed unhelpful. Breakfast was very mediocre. I had another reservation here for next week, but I've since canceled it. I do not recommend this hotel."

"Very old equipment in room. All ventilation fans were making noise. The photos showed the db at 2am in the morning in my room. The fan in bathroom just sounded a tractor engine.  I also recorded the fan noise in bathroom but couldn’t upload here.  One short stuff in front desk with eyeglasses always were trying to educate customers that you should do this , you should not do that. He always had excuses if I asked him help."

"The air conditioner was so noisy! Light sleepers couldn't get any sleep! The environment was okay, and the Chinese food nearby was delicious and clean. There was a self-service washer/dryer, but it ruined two of my clothes... I didn't take any photos of the hotel, but there's a delicious Chinese restaurant nearby called Pig Tripe Chicken."
