"Absolutely fantastic holiday! The hotel is very nice, located right by the sea almost in the middle of the village of Matemwe. Very nice rooms, including a great outdoor shower! Thorough, careful and perfect cleaning twice a day. The hotel staff was very nice and everyone did everything they could to make us feel at home. I would like to highlight the following fantastic people: Sauli, Rakim, Charles, Atosha, Emmanuel & Rajab!!! The hotel has a very good pool and great sunbeds overlooking the ocean and reef. There is security at night, everything is absolutely safe, tidy and clean! The restaurant always perfectly prepared and ready to fulfill all your wishes. Nicely landscaped garden, air conditioning in the room fully functional, mosquito nets and mosquito sprays as a bonus. Breakfast simple but very delicious! Great coffee and fresh fruits! Free towels at the pool. Thank you for the unforgettable moments, for the beautiful farewell dinner and the endless football games of Aron and Rajab! We miss you!!"

"We had a great stay. The entire property is so lush, green and jungely. A true oasis and very well arranged. It is a large ptopery, but thanks to the different areas it doesn’t feel large. Our room was spacious, beds comfy. The fan was sufficient for the nights. Bathroom was small, but sufficient and clean. Wifi was not great in the room, but outside it was well working. The pools are a great plus in the heat of Zanzibar. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but there were not so many guests. Staff is friendly. You walk around 15 mins to the beach or local restaurants."

"We did not stay there but this was our Oasis at,night for a nice and relaxing diner. The staff os absolutely fantastic. So kind as well as the management team who came nicely to check of we were fine even coming from outside. If we go back in this region we will def go to Zanzibar queen. Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas
"After a week of safari in Tanzania, we were looking forward to recovery and lazy days by the beach. We arrived at Zanzibar Sunrise and were welcomed by friendly staff, a beautiful garden with pool and peaceful background music. The breakfast alone is a reason to stay at Sunrise, choosing from fresh fruit and vegetables, egg dishes and great coffee, at any point of the day. We had a base of shakshuka all mornings, because of delicious. The staff helped us find and book activities for our stay, a private boat picked us up outside our house and took us snorkeling with fish and dolphins at the reef of Mnemba. We went reef walking with one of the hotel’s knowledgable gardeners, to see sea urchins, starfish, sea cucumber and more, the tide can be quite dramatic on this side of the island. The lovely manager Farah handled some early quirks with our stay in a swift, understanding and professional attitude, we couldn’t be more grateful for that. The entertainment manager Michael played a key part in creating a life memory of a romantic honeymoon dinner, with flowers, small lamps. white cloth and an exuberance of flowers framed the evening. This memory will be with us always. The food overall was so good and we didn’t find the need to visit other hotels for dinner. The wine list was mainly south african and somewhat scarce due to the approaching end of season, but we had some great pairings to fish and seafood. (The tiger prawn curry in papadum bowl is to die for). Thanks for making our honey moon so special, we cannot recommend this place highly enough!"

The management and staff have supported us actively, communicated clearly and done everything within their power to make our stay as pleasant as possible. You can genuinely feel that hospitality is lived here. The entire team is friendly, helpful and highly committed. What can I say .......... the location is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and airy, the food is lovely, the staff are friendly and the spa treatments are top class. The pool is perfect when the tide is too far out to swim in the sea. The sand is white and the loungers are comfortable. "
