"If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible. The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste. The room was clean, and the onsen bathroom with amenities was excellent. In summary, due to poor communication and the staff's lack of enthusiasm in recommending snow activities, my trip ended in tears 😭😭. I had planned to do many snow activities, but instead, I just walked around, built snowmen, and rolled in the snow. I won't be coming back here next trip. I'll look for a hotel that's more welcoming to Thais."

"This is my second time here, and it's close to Minakami Station, so it's perfect for a spontaneous solo trip to see the snow. The building is very spacious, but it's well-cleaned and a very clean inn. There are many foreign staff members, but they are well-trained and more friendly and polite than the average Japanese. The dinner and breakfast buffets are delicious, and the hot springs are very good, both in the private baths and the large public baths. I was worried that there would be a lot of foreign group tourists and that it would be noisy, but I got the impression that they were all well-mannered foreign tourists. I would like to come to this inn every year when it snows."

"We sang karaoke with the family and relaxed in the bath. Above all, the room had a great view of Mt. Tanigawa and was very calming. I also stayed here at the end of the year. I loved the open-air crystal bath (a big, rustic barrel bath). There was a river flowing right next to it, and it felt like we were in the mountains, so it was a very charming and comfortable time. "Pro: The room were so clean and very well maintained, its surely larger than what explained in trip.com 16sqm. With indoor balcony, bathroom, toilet; the roomsize should be around 40sqm. The onsen both indoor and outdoor was so good. However, this hotel has very limited service, no check in counter, no reception, no people. First day when we arrived, all the lights in front of hotel was off so we were not sure if this is really hotel. And when we walk inside hotel prepared all documents and keys on the table. Cons; corridor was freezing in winter. There was only heater in the room and specific point at living room. But hotels provided alcohol beverage to warm us up in the living room instead. ^~^"

"There was a special feature on hot springs with a special feel, and this hot spring was featured, so I took a bus from Jomo Kogen. I thought that everyone was coming by car and we were the only ones on the bus when we came and left. This inn is located deep in the mountains and has the feel of a hidden hot spring, and the mixed bathing Houshi-no-yu has a nice atmosphere. The room had nice tiles and lighting in the sink. The food was not typical of a meal deep in the mountains, but the Joshu Beef Plan was delicious. Taking care of the meals was also very helpful and made me feel good."
