"Finding the right balance for a couple with one obsessed with birds and one who prefers relaxation and a bit of pampering is always a delicate balance. Terraza de Dana looked like it fit the bill. During the planning David assured us that we could both achieve our goals with spa treatments on site, chocolate, butterfly, orchid tours in town and for me private guided birding tours. The guide was excellent and I was able to see over 240 species. They arranged stress free transportation to and from the airport and cab transportation back and forth to town. David, Marco and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend."

" We first stopped here first at the recommendation of our driver who knew we wanted to see local wildlife and the environment. We had our 17mo old daughter with us who is particularly into flowers. The garden was larger then expected with so many different varieties, and our guide spoke english and was able to answer our curious questions. What we are extra thankful for is being able to book a room here last minute when our original hotel had double booked and given away our room. The Orchid Garden was very pleasant to stay in with a our room having a view of the garden, with birds flitting here and there and a tremendously peaceful atmosphere. The room itself was very clean and comfortable."

"My wife and I spent a week at Casa Divina as part of the Andean Choco Birding Tour organized by their sister company Sabina Tours. Our spacious room was located close by the main lodge and surrounded by a jungle alive with singing birds. Our upstairs room was private, very clean and serviced daily. The Choco birding tour included all meals which were taken either on the trail (when birding) or in the lodge. Marta, the wonderful cook, created delicious meals featuring local, healthy cuisine all the while taking care of my wife's gluten free requirements. Staff members all spoke English and treated us with personalized attention. We spent the week with Owner Efrain as our birding guide (reviewed separately under Sabina Tours). We met his wife Molly on our last day when she returned from visiting her family in the States. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Divina and look forward to returning for our next birding adventure."

"Loved La Roulotte!! Surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle of Mindo, this place is a gem. The cabins are so cute and have everything you need for a perfect night's sleep; good beds, tons of pillows, plenty of hot water and good wifi signal. The restaurant is reasonably priced and everything is homemade and delicious. This is a perfect place to spend a few days while exploring Mindo- we only stayed one night to break up the drive back to Quito from Esmeraldas but would have loved to stay longer."
