Hotel Unisite Mutsu ★★★

📍 2 Chome-8-10 Kogawamachi, Mutsu

"The hotel room was clean, and the staff were very nice. The location of the hotel is also very good, close to the city centre. The only thing I missed is that the AC wasn't very efficient, the room stayed a bit hot. I only stayed one night after a tiring day at Osorezan, though, so I might just not have used it properly because I was too tired to try all the options..."

Mutsu Grand Hotel
7.8 (21 reviews)

Mutsu Grand Hotel ★★★

📍 Shimomichi-4 Tanabu, Mutsu

"Considering the price, I think the facilities are acceptable. The hotel offers free parking, and the parking lot is large enough. The room size is sufficient for one person, although the bathroom is a bit small, but it's acceptable considering the price. Breakfast and dinner exceeded my expectations, especially breakfast, which is served on the top floor of the hotel, directly overlooking Mount Osora."

"The bathroom was dirty. The bathtub didn't drain so the floor was soaking wet. There was mold too."

Plaza Hotel Mutsu ★★★
"The building is old but well-maintained and clean. The service and amenities are excellent, no complaints there. It's very convenient for sightseeing in Shimokita since it's close to the station."

Hotel Unisite Mutsu ★★★
"Mutsu is a small town on the fourth or fifth tier, and there is no one on the streets. The room was small as usual. I went to the food street recommended by the store clerk, but most of the food was closed. There is Lawson on the left side when you go out, Moshi Burger further on, and a large supermarket a few steps further. The prices are surprisingly similar to those in Tokyo. Prices in Japan are really the same across the country. There are too few Chinese people going to Shimokita for fun."

Mutsu Grand Hotel ★★★
"We stayed a night at the Grand Hotel Mutsu. It's probably the most prominent building in Mutsu, offers a great view of the city, and has a grand history. As many other reviewers have noted, its decor looks fairly dated. But other than that, the hotel is clean and has all the key amenities one would need. There's an onsite onsen, while the restaurant at the top floor has great views and serves a delicious breakfast. Rooms are pretty decently sized with comfortable beds. The only drawback is the early checkout (10am). Other than that, it's a solid choice for a stay in Mutsu."
