"Welcome to the hotel of Peace and Tranquility! It has been a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in the middle of nature and very well located to visit the main coves and beaches. 7 minutes by car from the wonderful Isleta del Moro. It is not worth complaining about flies or mosquitoes because that is what you have to be in the middle of a natural park. In addition, the reception provided us with a device for mosquitoes. All staff very attentive at all times. Breakfast and dinners with quality food, very different from the sometimes repeated buffets of crowded hotels. 4 starters and 4 seconds and delicious desserts. Everything homemade. Pool with waterfall, also ideal for disconnecting because even if the hotel is full you won't even notice. Every day they left us a large bottle of mineral water, hey! it is appreciated. If you want to rest, disconnect and breathe, don't hesitate, we will repeat for sure!!"

"Lovely little Hostal in a quiet traditional village, San Jose is very close by and just a few minutes in the car and there are some beautiful surrounding areas. Hostal was clean but basic as you would expect, beds comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant attached to Hostal and the food was really good. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast as the options are limited."

"Although the hostel term seems a little worse in the world of accommodation, this hostel has a level that many hotels already want. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, and is located in the heart of the city centre. There is no much wood, by the nearness to the sea and what it means of pumping. Breakfast is available for 8 euros. The hotel is a good place to stay and spark the Cabo de Gata, go to Tabernas to the Western theme parks (50 minutes by car), Mojacar (1 hour) or go to Almería capital (40 minutes)."

"Stayed in some beautiful places but the tranquility and total quietness is something special. Julia met us showed us around the property. The quality of furnishings are 5star. The curtains linen, bedding doors and security are the best I have seen for many years.est Remember you are in the middle of a national park you are miles from anywhere. If you need peace quiet and tranquility this is the best. Julia can’t do enough for you"

📍 Cala del Cuervo, s/n, Nijar

"Not all will agree but this is our experience. Access road is narrow and is built into the side of a hill you go up and then down last hair pin is very tight there are no barriers and it’s a significant drop. Booking in took a while as each arrival has to be taken to their pitch so you just wait and wait. Our pitch 38 was poor we booked a long time ago with the van size but it was too small could not be moved as they were full. The tarmac access stops and then it’s loose chipping but you have to run over onto them to back onto the pitch and the van sinks took a while to get out of it. You get a side space to put table and chairs but even attaching to the electric is difficult as you are in a bush. The van is 7m and was about a metre in the road to get it on the site. A nice Dutch man came over to say we had the worse pitch on the site. great! The pool and beach and restaurant are a fair hike from the pitch and down hill even longer coming back. Pool was ok but could not sit by it due to flies. We booked the restaurant they gave us an English menu with the worse translation I have seen as such we had some very poor food and under cooked fries. We try our best with the language and try and order with google translate if stuck but no hope here. Extremely unfriendly staff and again flies in everything we noticed everyone’s drink was given a top to protect from flies but not us we asked but they just shrugged Beach was ok but tatty in our view Shop opening hours not as advertised on arrival The result was booked and paid for 3 nights but left after one. This site is at the end of the road with nothing nearby it’s a beach holiday only. We were ok with this and wanted just that but we were genuinely unwelcome we realised that as soon as we said English on arrival . Sometimes even those who have been trained not to cannot hide it. Showers are dribblers of hot then cold then hot. Disappointed to say the least. This is not everyone’s experience but just a factual statement of what happened to us."

"Ignore any reviews before June 2026. This hotel has had a total refurbishment and very modern and the bedrooms are amazing with everything you could wish for. Walk in shower with rain shower and normal. Comfortable large beds, USB socket, kettle and teas and coffee, air con and ceiling fan, great lighting with dimmers, mini fridge, comfortable balcony seating with sea, pool and mountain view. Great friendly and very welcoming staff. The new sky bar on the roof is fantastic with great views of the beach and mountains and not stupid prices. We will return and have told our friends about it."

"Great small hotel in super location and great views of the terraces. The centre of the city is reachable in a few minutes, to the beach it takes max 15 minutes. Breakfast is decent, but more than enough and coffee tastes very good. Free parking right in front of the door."

"A rural, sympathetically designed stunning retreat set above the beautiful El Playazo beach. Pristine, very spacious rooms ; Landscaped with care and a real feast for the senses. The roof terrace was a special place with views over the volcanic hills and the sea. Hotel food was delicious with local wines and buffet breakfast was generous and fresh. Service from Julia especially and her small team was attentive, personal and friendly. Tiny plunge pool so we swam in the sea most days, Very wild and un-touristy area to explore; impossible without a vehicle."

"Yes, depending which was you look at it, many of the ‘negative’ reviews here are true. Yes, the drive onto site isn’t for the faint hearted, and can feel scary but take it slowly and you’ll be fine. Prepare for spectacular views and gorgeous dark skies from your pitch. Yes, it’s noisy when it’s windy, but it’s camping, it’s a part of the adventure. Yes, the on site restaurant may or may not be open, but you’re only a stroll away from Las Negras (there’s a lovely Ice Cream place serving great coffee over that way) if you’re desperate to eat out. Yes, the shop opens and closes before the day has started, but be prepared, order your fresh bread and pastries the evening before and nip to the shop before lunch to pick up any essential items you need. The prices are far from expensive and you’ll find everything you might need. We stayed in a Family+ tent. It was more than spacious enough for our family of 4 and everything that comes with us - suitcases, shopping etc. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the accommodation well equipped with all of your glamping essentials. Including a coffee machine. Hot water and powerful showers in a good sized bathroom and space outside to enjoy balmy evenings under the dark skies. The staff speak very basic English, so using some basic Spanish in return will get you far. We asked our time here, as seasoned ‘campers’ and travellers, who do enjoy the finer things when it comes to accommodation, we were not disappointed. The site was spotless and felt safe, and the facilities clean - including the pools. A short stroll through the site lands you on a gorgeous beach that offers great views and snorkelling (rock shoes recommended). There’s Boules, a small play park and volley ball on site, too. Laundry facilities are available - but at a €4 fee. Bring change! We would return to Wecamp Cabo de Gata and are already exploring other Wecamp locations."

"We come here every year to celebrate our birthdays and we love it. But…..this year, when we opened the door to our room, we were met by a monkey sitting on the bed side table doing something very impromptu with his tackle . I shielded my wife’s eyes so she didn’t have to witness such a disturbing scene. After negotiating with the little critter,he left our room with no complaints but it did cost me 500 euros! We’ll be back! 👍"

"We stayed here two nights as part of a walking trip. We found it excellent - Anna was very welcoming and enthusiastic. The room was very spacious with views of the sierra - such different country to what we had seen before. Dinners and breakfasts were very good indeed. Chef Alfredo provided very interesting and tasty menus, together with an extensive Spanish wine list. Can highly recommend."
