The entire building looks clean and modern, my room was a decent size and very clean. I enjoyed a delicious healthy breakfast every morning. All members of staff I came into contact with (reception/cleaners/security) were all friendly and helpful. I would definitely use this hotel again should I return to Oran."

For a relatively small hotel the range and quality of options in the dinner buffet was amazing. Having spent the last 15 days travelling around Algeria we found the food at the Palme the best we have come across !! The chef decked out in red was present in the dining room and made the difference between this being a good or great hotel !!!"

"In Erzin, we knew how much we would have to pay at the reception, but they charged me 600 Algerian Dinars more than what was stated in your system. When I asked about this, they said no, they don't accept it. They charged me 1950 Dinars, but your system shows 1250 Dinars. So they overcharged me. Secondly, the receptionists didn't speak English; I had a lot of difficulty and used a translation device. Thirdly, to call a taxi at the door, even though I ordered one through the app on my phone, the taxi that arrived demanded three times the amount shown in the system. The receptionist and the person at the door had arranged that taxi. The amount I should have paid was 700, but they asked for 2000, then lowered it to 1005. It was very unethical behavior. In the end, I ordered a taxi myself through the system and went for 1000."
