"This was my first stay at a Hoshino Resorts "Kai" series onsen hotel. Daigoku Onsen has a long history, and the hotel's genuine hot spring bath was very comfortable. Combined with the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki, it had a unique charm. The rooms were a bit dated because it's a converted older hotel, but thankfully well-maintained and spacious enough. Dinner and breakfast were unremarkable, but given its location in the suburbs, there weren't many other options. One suggestion: it would be better if the facilities in the public areas were more comprehensive!"

"Used on tour. It was already dark outside when I took the bus, so I was wondering where I was going to be taken, but it turned out to be a hotel at the top of a mountain. The size of the room was perfect, and there were three beds. The meal was a buffet and there wasn't a lot of variety, but I enjoyed a lot of local cuisine. It also included an all-you-can-drink option, so I was able to fully enjoy the hotel's unique wine. There is a wine tasting corner next to the front desk, and you buy a 1,000 yen or 2,000 yen card at the front desk and drink from the tasting machine. Since the price per cup is different and you don't have change, you have to be smart about the combinations. This was also quite fun. There are ski resorts and golf courses in the surrounding area, and the scenery is beautiful, so if you have time, I think it would be a good idea to take a walk around the area."
