"My child attends high school in Chengde, and whenever there's a monthly break, we always stay at this hotel. What I appreciate most is the self-service laundry room, which is great for washing my child's clothes. The front desk staff are also happy to help with laundry, and their service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic – definitely five stars. The hotel has its own restaurant, making dining very convenient, and the food tastes great. The surrounding environment is superb, very quiet, and the rooms have excellent soundproofing, which is perfect for my child to study. The room's cleanliness is impeccable, and the bed is very comfortable with just the right firmness. My child wasn't up for breakfast, so I got some for them – it was quite abundant, with freshly made noodles and a variety of drinks. Very comprehensive! Before checking out, the front desk even gave us two bottles of water. Overall, the environment, cleanliness, and service are all outstanding. See you next month!"

However, not all rooms have a mini-bar, so if you need one, it's best to carefully compare room types in advance. The service was incredibly thoughtful and warm; since it was my birthday, the hotel even thoughtfully sent a small cake and a fruit plate, and also gave a souvenir when I left. Many thanks! The surrounding environment of the hotel is a bit messy, but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay."

"The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. We stayed in an Executive King Room and were pleasantly surprised to receive two complimentary bath vouchers. After enjoying the bathing service, all the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away. In the evening, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We were extremely satisfied. "Very satisfied. Because it was the off-season, the price was very cheap, making it excellent value for money.
The hotel opened in October 2025. The lobby smelled wonderful as soon as you entered. The rooms were large and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable.
I ran into the same female staff member several times; she was always smiling, which made me feel happy.
The breakfast was also quite delicious.
There is a large private parking lot, suitable for those driving. Just remember, the road outside the hotel is a one-way street, friends! There's a sign at the parking lot entrance, but I didn't notice and drove the wrong way (⩌ - ⩌ )."

"Hotel is grand and new. Rooms are big and clean. Buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and some menus change everyday. Staffs there are professional, nice and polite. Hotel also provide free entry couple to the spa wellness club adjoining to the hotel. We really enjoy the hotel services and facilities during the 4 days stay. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. GGuest UserWe hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!

GGuest UserLove their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles.
The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather.
The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing.
Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!

CCocodaiTraveling with both the elderly and young kids, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for the weekend. I had already set my sights on this hotel, and the drive here was smooth. The hotel grounds are lovely, very peaceful and comfortable. No TV is actually a genius move, really good! It really helped my family focus on relaxation and the outdoors.
The kids absolutely loved the private hot spring. They were a bit disappointed they couldn't go into the public one, so for 468 for 2 hours, we booked a private one for them to enjoy. It was fantastic, especially the little milk bath – so refreshing and cool.

The room was spotless throughout my stay, with crisp, clean bedding, fresh linen, and well-maintained towels. The bathroom and amenities were equally clean, and the smart room features worked perfectly. I especially loved the “sleep mode” function, which turned off the lights and closed the curtains automatically — such a thoughtful touch that made it easy to wind down without even getting out of bed.
The location is also a strong point. It’s close to supermarkets and smaller local restaurants, which was very convenient day-to-day. While it’s a bit further from the main built-up city area, it’s still within walking distance of livelier spots. What makes it particularly special is its proximity to nature — being close to the mountains and nearby national parks is a big advantage if you enjoy that kind of setting.
In terms of amenities, I really appreciated the free laundry (wash and dry), as well as the steamer provided for clothes — both were incredibly useful during a longer stay. One thing to note is that this branch doesn’t appear to have an on-site restaurant, even though one may be mentioned in the listing. A gym and spa are also advertised, but I didn’t personally see or use them, so I can’t confirm their availability.
My only real downside was that the walls are quite thin, and noise from other guests could sometimes be heard. However, the staff handled this situation very well when it arose.
What truly stood out to me was the staff. They were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated that they spoke English well, which isn’t always the case even in larger cities. They went above and beyond — even adding me on WeChat to assist with questions, provide recommendations, and check in when needed. Their kindness and attentiveness made a big difference in my stay.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who value cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and genuinely excellent service.

Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location
I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets.
The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be.
The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot.
Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat.
No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it.
Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

GGuest UserWe stayed one night at Jinshanling Hanting B&B, and the location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Great Wall. It’s the perfect spot to catch both sunrise and sunset; the wall opened at 5 a.m. when we visited in early November. Breakfast was included, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying overnight for the better light and calmer atmosphere instead of doing a day trip. There’s also a great café nearby. To find the place: walk to the entrance gate, turn right, and it’s on the right side after about 30–50 meters.

GGuest UserAfter entering the city, we walked a little further and found a very quiet courtyard! We booked a room with a small balcony. It was very clean! There's an infinity pool on the third floor; next time we come in the summer, we'd book a room on the third floor—it's very convenient for the kids to play in the water!
The beautiful owner and her family were very welcoming. They helped us with our luggage upstairs when we got out of the car. The owner's house is in front of the door. That's where the photos are taken. The courtyard is also very photogenic at night!
When we arrived, the owner brought us afternoon tea, which was homemade and delicious!
The breakfast was also plentiful, all freshly made! The kids ate well too!

GGary Ong Wei KiatAbsolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and they were quite good. After checking in and resting up, we hiked the Great Wall after 3 PM. We didn't take the cable car at all. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to Zhuanduokou, and we took our time enjoying the scenery. The path down from Houchuankou has stairs. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Jinshanling!
