"Close to the airport, which made getting around very convenient. The shuttle schedule was well-planned, making it easy to relax and settle in. The only downside was the poor soundproofing; I could hear people talking outside the hotel at night."

The Da Zhong Airport Hotel (Dazhong Konggang Binguan) is located between terminals 1 and 2 of Pudong International Airport, each of which is just a 5-minute walk from the other. This Shanghai hotel is split into two separate areas. The South Villa (Airport Hotel) is considered a hotel and has a variety of room types ranging from round-bed rooms to suites. The North Villa (Motel) is a less expensivehotel and has has queen and twin rooms. The on-site Merrylin Restaurant serves a menu of Chinese and international fare. Several fast food outlets and other eateries are on hand in the airport so there is no shortage of dining options.Meeting facilities are available as well as paid parking.

"Facilities: Average, a bit old. Hygiene: Around 10 AM, I wanted to get into bed and felt something gritty on my calf. I thought it was the pattern on the sheet, but when I turned on my flashlight, I saw tiny particles. I have no idea what they were. Service: I called the front desk, and they asked me what it was. I said I didn't know. The staff member who came to check also asked me what it was, and I repeated that I didn't know. They then suggested it might be cookie crumbs from my daughter. I booked a double bed, and my daughter was on the other bed the whole time; my bed's duvet hadn't even been disturbed. I didn't push the issue, I just wanted fresh bedding, but that suggestion made me feel like they were trying to shirk responsibility. This kind of service is truly uncomfortable. These unknown particles could be a big deal or a small one... Breakfast: Especially bad. You're better off just eating at the airport. Children over a certain height are charged an extra 30 yuan per person."

Opened in 2023, the Holiday Inn Express SHANGHAI PUDONG AIRPORT by IHG is a great accommodation choice in Shanghai. The hotel is just 3km away from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Just a short walk from Haitiansan Road Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. With multiple attractions nearby including MINE FARM, Lingkong Agriculture Garden and Shanghai Museum of Popular Geological Science, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Shanghai hotel offers parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is the usual choice for a large number of business travelers.

"Great value for a layover, but brace for the morning rush. Pros: · For the rate, the room is perfectly comfortable and the food is decent. The breakfast spread (seen in the pics) actually offers a good mix—Chinese food, plus coffee and juices. For a quick airport stop, it hits the spot. · Convenient transport: If you skip the shuttle, ordering a taxi directly from the hotel to the airport is super easy and fast. Cons to note: · Elevator & shuttle crowds: The biggest inconvenience is the morning checkout rush. Everyone is heading to the airport at the same time, so the elevators get jammed, and the queue for the bus shuttle can be crowded. It's absolutely fine for the price. Just leave your room 15–20 minutes earlier than you think you need to, or simply grab a taxi from the front door to avoid the shuttle chaos. Would stay again for an early flight."

The majestic Bund, historic Yu Garden and popular Xintiandi eating and entertainment district are all within walking distance from the hotel. We are some 2.5 kilometers from Shanghai Railway Station, 15 kilometers from both Hongqiao International Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station, and 33 kilometers from Pudong International Airport, all by straight-line distance. The hotel offers 390 elegantly designed rooms and suites that offer exquisite comfort. Rooms are spacious and bright, with premium bedding and full amenities to help keep you feeling fresh and energized. On floors 3-5, the hotel boasts some 3,300 square meters of meetings and events space across 18 rooms and banquet halls of differing styles and specifications. As an international upscale hotel brand, we champion a new and better way of business travel that recognizes guests blurred and blended needs to achieve personal and professional success by staying productive, inspired and restored.

"Overall, the room was good, but the lighting was a bit dim. The shower head had low water pressure (possibly due to clogged nozzles, with only some holes working), causing water to spray everywhere. Also, the TV wasn't connected to the internet and experienced freezing issues, which might have been due to the typhoon. Everything else was perfectly fine. The service attitude was excellent, and the room had great soundproofing (I couldn't hear any outside noise at all). The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was pleasant with no strange odors. The cleanliness was also very good (I didn't see any dust or foreign objects like previous guests' hair). We stayed for two consecutive nights and requested room cleaning after the first night. When we returned, the original slippers were respectfully placed neatly near the door, and new slippers were provided. Bottled water was replenished promptly, and the towels were all new and very clean."

The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was very friendly. Exactly as described in the pictures. Would recommend! Extra: there is a coffee machine at the lobby, you can drink a coffee for free! And also there are free water, teas. I have to mention: the walls are thin, so you have to use earplugs for sleeping. We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. You can tell there is real effort behind the scenes to keep ever

Summary: The worst service I've ever encountered in a hotel of this caliber. I stayed for 2 days. On the first night when I checked in, I noticed there was no doorman at the hotel entrance to open car doors or help with luggage. I asked the front desk if no one was on duty at night. The manager, who had a great attitude, said someone might have been out delivering something, and that it was quieter at night but they would improve. (He had a very good attitude and offered me breakfast, though I didn't eat it as I don't usually have breakfast). Then I asked the front desk for a latex pillow. I waited for half an hour upstairs, but it wasn't delivered. When I called, they said they forgot. Next, while looking for a charging port by the bed, I knocked over a glass and got really annoyed as to why the glass was placed by the bedside late at night (this was my fault, as I was quite angry at the time). The manager, with a great attitude, came to help clean it up, and I even went to the front desk the next day to apologize. Second day: I left my earphones, cigarettes, and lighter in the car. I messaged the driver to arrange for the concierge to bring them up. They were never brought up until the next day when I was checking out to go to the airport. I asked the driver why they hadn't been brought up, and the driver said he had given them to the concierge last night. I went to ask: the concierge said they forgot to deliver them. By the way: when I returned to the hotel on the second night, I still noticed there was no doorman or security. Car doors and luggage were unattended. I really don't know! What exactly is the concierge at this hotel doing! What are they responsible for!!! Facilities: The facilities are very good, the rooms are large, and the walk-in closet is excellent. I usually try out the pool and gym at every hotel, but I wasn't in the mood this time. I won't be coming back.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and the overall experience was absolutely wonderful. First of all, the hotel enjoys an unbeatable and prime location in Shanghai. [爱心]The transportation here is extremely convenient, allowing easy access to major scenic spots, shopping areas and city landmarks. It saves plenty of traveling time, which is perfect for tourists exploring the city. The highlight of my stay was definitely the stunning room view. From the room window, I could directly overlook the magnificent Huangpu River and the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower. The daytime scenery is bright and pleasant, while the night view is breathtaking and spectacular. As the city lights turn on at dusk, the entire riverside and tower are illuminated with gorgeous neon lights. The shimmering river water matches the brilliant city skyline, creating a dreamy and luxurious urban night scene. Watching the beautiful night view quietly in the room was extremely relaxing and healing. The panoramic view brings a fantastic visual enjoyment that perfectly represents the charm of Shanghai. Thanks to the superior location and amazing river view, this stay was unforgettable and worthwhile. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers who want to enjoy the best Shanghai night scenery.

Due to the recent Typhoon Dolphin, I opted for a staycation at Kerry Hotel Pudong by Shangri-La. Upon arrival, there was no assistance from the bell staff or porters. During checkin, The receptionist handed me a small slip of paper which, at first glance, I assumed was some sort of advisory regarding Typhoon Dolphin. Upon closer inspection, I realised that this tiny, thin and flimsy piece of paper was actually the Kerry Club welcome letter. I found this genuinely surprising. A Club welcome letter is one of the first touchpoints for premium-room guests and would normally be presented on proper stationery. Instead, this looked more like a piece of scrap office paper I would use to test whether a pen still had ink. More importantly, the receptionist did not explain my Club benefits. There was no explanation of breakfast hours, breakfast venue, hotel facilities, checkout time, Club Lounge opening hours or other Club privileges. There was not even a simple introduction along the lines of, “You have been assigned a park-facing room on the Club floor.” As a result, when I entered my room on Level 25, I was initially rather confused. My first impression was that the room felt noticeably dated and I genuinely could not tell whether I had actually been assigned a Club Room. I was not sure if it was one. There was no Club welcome letter placed on the desk, no welcome amenity and no Nespresso machine. In its place were several packets of instant coffee. Even the complimentary bottled water was the basic Coca-Cola-owned Chun Yue (纯悦) brand. At that point, the sign along the corridor was the clearest indication I had received that this was a Club-level stay. Not a great first impression. However, it did get better from there, since I discovered that John Masters toiletries were available in the bathroom, which were nice to use, and I was in fact placed in a high floor room that overlooked century park and I could see the lovely view of the 3 iconic skyscrapers of Shanghai. The housekeeping team were amazing, the longest I waited was just 30 minutes after I had requested items, and they were checking in on whether I needed anything during the turndown service, they were also incredibly friendly and polite. The room was also immaculately cleaned. Truly 5 stars! The lounge was also great - evidenced by the amount of people using it during my 3 nights here at this hotel- the lounge was always busy. The evening cocktail service served beyond the usual typical hors d'oeuvres, and was more like a simple dinner buffet. The main dish on my last night - Beef Biryani was really good, and quite authentic in my opinion. It was good by club lounge food standards. The club lounge staff were also excellent. I remember a Caucasian male staff member — unfortunately, I did not get his name or position — who spoke fluent English, answered my queries clearly and resolved any issues I had promptly. Kudos to him! The gym was so huge and well equipped that I thought I had walked into an expensive commercial gym a la FitnessFirst or Virgin Active. The pool was also large with 5 swimming lanes. Back to the room. The bed was quite hard. On the positive side, the air-conditioning remained strong, quiet and effective despite the age of the hotel. The bathroom was probably where the age of the room was most apparent. There was no rain shower or bidet. Some of the floor tiles near the entrance also appeared to be loose, as I could hear and feel slight movement beneath them whenever I walked in and out. Check-out was brisk and straightforward. This time, a member of staff proactively assisted me with my luggage, loaded my bags into my DiDi and helped with the car door. Overall, I believe Kerry Hotel Pudong remains a good choice for business travellers who need to be close to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Huamu or other parts of Pudong. However, I would rate its value for money as merely average.

An absolutely wonderful experience! **Facilities:** Even though it's an older hotel, I was initially worried the facilities might be outdated. But when I arrived, I realized there was no need to worry at all. The overall vibe is one of rich heritage and understated luxury, without feeling old-fashioned. Came to Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund after hearing great things, and the overall experience was a pleasant surprise. The hardware, as expected, was exceptional; the old building had plenty of character, and the room was very well maintained. I must give a special shout-out to concierges Aaron and Vicky. They patiently answered all my questions before my trip, helped arrange transportation upon arrival, and thoughtfully provided tips for exploring the surrounding area. When a minor issue came up, they quickly helped coordinate a solution, handling everything efficiently and thoughtfully. This wasn't just standard service; they genuinely cared about the guests. It was a very comfortable stay, highly recommended.

Hotel is 2 minutes walk away from the Shanghai railway station (you can literally see the station). Another a 5-7 minutes walk can take you to the 1, 12, and 13 metro line. A mall around the area, a line of shops near the neighborhood, downstairs is a convenient store, easy to find hotel, you can’t miss it. Pool is under construction during our stay but they have other amenities like a very small gym, free laundry (washer + dryer), spa, and handful of rooms for board games mainly featuring Mahjong, if you’re a fan you will love it. These amenities is downstairs in the basement which you have to exit the building and take a separate entrance for. I want to note that I did see a water bug in the living checking area and in the amenities room. That is something they can def fix. Otherwise really good location if you plan to use the railway station or don’t want to stay at the city center. Bathroom is separated into wet and dry. It have an option for overhead shower, fantastic water pressure. Door is not transparent, but it does not have a lock. Toilet have a bidet but I want to note that our toilet did have a faint but noticeable smell of urine, I’m not sure if it’s because the staff did not clean it well or its something else. There are no dirty spots and it’s visually clean. Overall for the price of the hotel it’s SO spacious, clean and just so worth it.

My experience at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The room was super clean and comfortable, which made my stay very pleasant. What really stood out was the staff's kindness; it truly touched me. When I was struggling to figure out how to order takeout, they patiently explained everything and even personally helped me with a drink purchase since I'm a foreigner and had difficulty with the payment. At checkout, they even gave me a hand cream as a gift, making my trip perfect right until the very end. Thanks to their warm hospitality and the immaculate room, I had a truly wonderful time. I will definitely be back!
