The Hotel Resonance Taipei is a really stylish hotel. It's very new and in a fantastic location – super easy to get to, just a 2-minute walk left from Exit 3 of Shandao Temple MRT Station. The room layout is well-designed, with a separate shower and bathtub, and a dedicated toilet area. The soundproofing is excellent, and the bedding is very comfortable. A major bonus is the self-service laundry room, which is a lifesaver for washing clothes during a summer trip. The washing machines even come with detergent, and the dryer is powerful, getting clothes dry quickly. Just a heads-up though, the laundry room closes at 10 PM. I noticed when booking that the hotel breakfast was just a simple Starbucks meal, so I didn't opt for the breakfast package. There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and local breakfast spots nearby, so finding food in the morning was absolutely no problem. All in all, I definitely recommend Hotel Resonance Taipei!

If you're in Taiwan for a concert at Taipei Dome this is definitely your stay. It's just a 5 mins walk from the concert venue. It's actually within the Song Shan cultural park so there's also many exhibitions and weekend flea markets to explore around there. Convenience stores within the vicinity and many nice eateries too. For night owls, the 24 hrs Eslite bookstore is just next door. The room is also spacious and clean. The hotel staff upon realizing that I was there for a concert immediately offered me a room with the view of the Taipei Dome.

First Impression: The Luxurious Ritual of a European Castle Subtle and Secluded Driveway: As the car turned from the tree-lined Dunhua North Road, it entered a highly private French-style circular driveway, exclusively designed for VIP guests. Museum-Quality Artistic Ambiance: Stepping into the grand and towering lobby, guests are greeted by an aesthetic space adorned with over 1,700 original artworks and exquisite giant crystal chandeliers. Impeccable Welcome Service: The front desk service is attentive and seamless. Upon being seated, guests are immediately presented with a ceremonial special hibiscus welcome tea and hot towels.

Facilities: The hotel facilities are almost identical to those of WHG hotels in Japan. I particularly love the separated wet and dry areas in the bathroom, and the option to take a bath in a tub or use the Japanese-style sitting shower. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: There's not much of a street view, but it's incredibly close to Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station, just a two to three-minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart directly opposite. For attractions, Huashan 1914 Creative Park is close by. The breakfast is exquisite, offering a variety of Japanese and ********* options, with fresh ingredients. Service: The staff are very polite.

Hotel staff got my booking wrong and assigned me a wrong room category. The initial room was noisy and I could hear construction noise from the site opposite the hotel despite being up on the 18th floor. Soundproofing is rather poor as I can occasionally hear people's conversations as they walk along the corridor. The lounge was a nice touch though the food offerings especially during the afternoon tea and breakfast service could be better. Service in the club lounge was generally good but could be slower during busy times. Location of the hotel was good being minutes from the shopping and dining area.

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. The service needs improvement. We checked in around 7 or 8 PM and had to wait until 3 AM to get a room at the end of a hallway. When we called to ask if we could change rooms, the staff said no because the other rooms weren't cleaned yet. They also said if we wanted to change, we'd have to wait longer, and it would only be a low-floor connecting room. So, we went down to the front desk to discuss it, and suddenly, a high-floor room was available. My family went down to dinner first and told the restaurant staff that not everyone was there yet. But when I went down, they said they didn't know where my family was sitting and told me to find them myself. I don't know why the first staff member lied to us. Although their tone was polite, it felt like they weren't very dedicated to their work.

I enjoyed my stay because the room was huge and very well maintianed, nice gym and there is a pool that was long enough to do a swim work out. The BF was worth it at NTD550, and there is a nearby 7-11 in case you need anything ( snacks, drinks, etc. ). There are also nearby restos and bars via a short walk. The nearby Omakase resto was amazing. Location is a bit off, no malls in the vicinity, but then again, you can easilly take a taxi or uber.

This was a pleasant stay. We were traveling with a child, and I had specifically requested a high floor in my Ctrip booking notes. To my surprise, the hotel really paid attention to it! The hotel has 30 floors in total, and they put us on the 29th floor, which was absolutely perfect with fantastic views. **Cleanliness:** The room had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet was smart and very clean. **Transportation:** The hotel is located right above Wanhua Railway Station. You just turn a corner from the ticketing hall of Wanhua Station and you're there. It's also only a 5-minute walk to Longshan Temple MRT Station. **Local Food:** Around Longshan Temple MRT Station, there's an Oyster Vermicelli shop (diagonally opposite the 50 Lan milk tea shop) that you absolutely *must* try. The flavor is great and it's generously portioned. I dare say you won't find a better oyster vermicelli in all of Taiwan. Remember, next to the oyster vermicelli shop, there's a place selling grilled sausages – grab one of those too. Vermicelli + grilled sausage = a perfect combination! There's also a night market in Longshan Temple in the evenings.

I checked in late at night around 11pm without a problem. The room is small and windowless, but this is not unexpected as the online description is accurate. Very convenient location! Easily accessed from airport metro and regular metro. Within walking distance to Ximending, Ningxia night market, Taipei city mall, and Dadaocheng/Dihua street. Luggage storage was conveniently available for free and there is a tonne of people making use of this service! So may need to time your check out accordingly. Lobby was located at the fifth floor, some elevators don’t stop there. The layout is a tad confusing to me (some rooms on 3F and 4F)
