"This was my first time staying at a hostel. I had a late-night flight and was scheduled to arrive at the hotel around 3 AM, so I searched for a place with 24-hour check-in and shower facilities, and found this one. It turned out to be a great choice! However, since I chose a dormitory, I felt bad about making noise late at night. I think I'll opt for a private room next time. The bed was plush, clean, and incredibly comfortable, so I fell asleep instantly. But I learned that I'll need to prepare for my roommates' breathing and snoring on future stays! I understand it's a shared experience when staying in a dormitory, but I thought I'd share this for others' reference. The hotel itself felt safe as it was women-only, the interior design was lovely, and the staff were incredibly kind. I spoke with different staff members during check-in, check-out, and when collecting my luggage. All of them spoke fluent English and understood some Japanese, providing excellent service. The place was also cleaned regularly. The common areas had a warm atmosphere, and it was helpful to be able to refill drinks and water. The toilet and shower are in the same space, separated by a glass partition, which some people might find a bit uncomfortable. However, it was kept clean, and with a bit of personal adjustment, I think it offers great value for money! You'll be using slippers that others have worn, so if that bothers you, bring your own waterproof pair. There are no toiletries like cosmetics or toothbrushes, but shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. A hairdryer is also available. The shower pressure is a bit weak. When walking from Taipei Main Station after my late-night flight, I passed through the west side of Taipei Station and felt very tense seeing homeless people gathered and sleeping there. I'm not sure if there's an alternative route, but those arriving at night or late at night should be aware."

The Angels Hostel (Taipei Ximen) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Ximen Metro Station within walking distance. There's plenty to do nearby, with The Red House, Taipei Tianhou Temple and Nanyang St, Zhongzheng District all within a short distance. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. For guests traveling alone, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"I had a wonderful stay at this hostel and was very impressed with everything. My flight arrived quite late at night, and the front desk closes at midnight. However, a kind male staff member was there to welcome me and kindly explained everything I needed to know about the hostel. I’m very sorry that I didn’t ask for his name, but I truly appreciate his help and warm welcome, especially since I arrived late at night. I especially want to thank him because his kindness and helpfulness really made me feel comfortable after arriving. The room was clean and comfortable, and I slept very well. The hostel is also conveniently located within walking distance of Taipei Main Station MRT, which made getting around very easy. The shower room and toilet are separated, but they are very close to each other, so it was not inconvenient at all. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and was very impressed with this hostel. Everything was perfect, and I would definitely be happy to stay here again ❤️"

Main Inn is a 5--10 minute walk from Jingzhan Fashion Square and a 10-15-minute walk from Ningxia Night Market. It features a business center, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi in the entire area.Modern air-conditioned rooms and dormitories feature wooden floors, a flat-screen cable TV, and a private or shared bathroom. Shower facilities, toiletries and a hairdryer are provided in the bathroom. The dormitory room is also equipped with reading lights and lockers.Main Inn is a 6-15 minute walk from Taipei Station and Taipei Transit Station, only 3-10 minutes drive from Ximending Shopping District, 20-40 minutes drive from Taipei Songshan Airport, and 40-60 minutes drive from Taoyuan International Airport.Datong District is a great choice for night markets, culture and street food. The accommodations also offer a free breakfast to start a good day !

"The cleanliness was acceptable and consistent with the hotel’s facility rating. The location was excellent and suited our needs perfectly, as it is located right next to Taipei Main Station and can be reached in less than a 10-minute walk via the underground passage. Breakfast is served on the 6th floor, but there is no lift access, which may be inconvenient for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. However, it should not be a problem for younger guests. Overall, the hotel met our expectations and offered good value for its convenient location."

"The room was incredibly tiny, and the ladder to the bunk bed was so narrow that even as a petite 43kg woman, I had to turn sideways to climb it. At check-in, the front desk wouldn't let me take my suitcase into the room, claiming it was too small and wouldn't fit. They suggested I pack and unpack in the common area! I was completely speechless. I've stayed in hostels in various countries, and this is the first time I've ever heard of not being allowed to bring luggage into the room. Wouldn't that be a massive hassle? Plus, the common area isn't even that big; at most, only two or three suitcases could be opened simultaneously near the front desk. Later, I noticed everyone else had their suitcases in their rooms, but when packing, everyone had to constantly make allowances for each other. Even a carry-on suitcase open on the floor completely blocked the aisle. Despite being advertised as opening in 2024, the bathroom facilities looked a bit old. The shower often flooded, and the toilet seemed a bit dated and grubby. The shower and toilet were in the same cubicle, so when it was busy in the evenings, you even had to queue to use the toilet. However, the location is indeed convenient, with plenty of food options nearby. There was also space next to the bed for small items, which was a plus."

"Overall, it was a fantastic stay! I'll definitely be back here next time, especially since it's so close to Taipei Main Station and Ximen – both are within walking distance. There's also a 7-Eleven nearby. The price was great, but the quality was even better. Personally, I stayed for 4 nights for about 5000 baht. To get to the hotel, you can just pin the hotel's location. There's a bank downstairs, and an elevator and stairs next to it. There's always an old gentleman looking after the building. You can take any elevator and go to the 4th floor for check-in. Check-in is at 3 PM local time, and you can do it yourself at the kiosk, which is super convenient. For the room, I chose a double bed with an en-suite bathroom. The room size is typical for Taiwan – no window, and it might feel a bit snug, but you can fit a 20-inch suitcase. The bathroom has shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, bath towels, and a floor mat. You'll need to bring your own other amenities. The toilet is Japanese style, and the shower allows for temperature adjustments. The bed and pillows are soft, and the air conditioning works well. You can leave your luggage at the 4th floor both before check-in and after check-out. The staff are incredibly helpful! Highly, highly recommend! P.S. The pictures are from the internet, but the actual place looks just like this."

Hotel near Raohe Street Night Market,Taipei
Welcome to our comfortable place!Located in Raohe Night Market, a gourmet paradise, the kitchen you want is downstairs! Good place for dinner and supper~Convenient transportation is a major advantage. It is located in a major hub of trains, railways and MRT. It is very convenient to go for a picnic in the distance or to go shopping in the nearby business district.

"The hotel was generally clean and tidy. The triple room wasn't as spacious as I'd imagined, but since there were only two of us, it was fine. If three people were staying, it might feel a bit cramped. Due to the typhoon, my flight schedule changed, and the hotel kindly allowed me to pay for a late check-out until 2 PM, which really helped me out – I'm very grateful! 🙏 Downstairs is the Raohe Street Night Market. It's great to grab some food and drinks, then head to the nearby Footprint Wellness Center for a foot massage. 😁 However, if you have large luggage, you might have to walk a bit from the main street to get in, as vehicles can't directly access the hotel due to the night market stalls."

"My sister and I had an amazing stay at Wonderwall. The hotel provided everything we needed for a comfortable trip, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, complimentary snacks, coffee and tea, a clothes steamer, and even free laundry facilities—all included in the room rate. Our room was spacious enough for two people and featured an ensuite bathroom with hot water and a smart toilet, making our stay even more comfortable. The hotel’s location is another major highlight. Situated in the heart of Ximending Walking District, it gave us easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions, allowing us to explore the vibrant commercial area with ease. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the wonderful staff. They all spoke English, so communication was effortless. Everyone was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. We highly recommend Wonderwall to anyone visiting Taipei and would definitely stay here again."

Had a fantastic stay! The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. The hotel's location near Taipei Main Station is super convenient, and it's really close to Eslite Bookstore and Zhongshan MRT Station. There are so many amenities right downstairs too, like a convenience store, KFC, breakfast shops, and bubble tea places – just perfect. Inside, the hotel was clean and bright. Highly recommend!

The toilets and showers are shared, but they were kept very clean. I barely ran into other guests during my stay, so overall it was quite good. The room was small, but perfectly sufficient for one person. However, the soundproofing was a bit poor, but luckily the guests on either side were quiet, so the overall stay was still quite pleasant. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel doesn't provide water, so you'll need to buy some from the convenience store across the street.

I stayed here recently and overall the room was really good—clean, comfortable bed, and I slept very well. The atmosphere at night was quiet, perfect for relaxing. However, I felt a bit frustrated with the staff communication. I asked for the Wi-Fi name, but the staff only told me to use the username and password provided without actually telling me the Wi-Fi name. I had to ask several times and still didn’t get a clear answer, which was quite confusing and a bit annoying. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay, but it would be much better if the communication with guests was clearer.

Location and amenities is unbeatable. There is a lift which was awesome. The basement area is open 24hr to eat and chill out and has free coffee and tea too. Only downside is the mattress. It is very hard, the cushion is non existent, leaving the hard metal springs poking out. It was very uncomfortable to lie on it. This could definitely be easy improved given all the other good conditions

I stayed here on two occasions as I loved it so much I wanted to extend (but it was booked out over the weekend). As a solo traveller this place is perfect. Fantastic location right next to the MRT. So close to plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The rooms are small but absolutely perfect for what I needed. The same price as a 30 bed hostel dorm room with the privacy of your own space and much quieter. The bathroom was small but I never had to wait for a shower which I was surprised by. The whole place was always clean. Honestly I couldn’t recommend this place more I loved it!!

The outdoor password entry terminal was a bit confusing; I didn't realize you had to touch it for the numbers to appear. There's a 'Touch Here' sign on the room door, but not on the outside door, which would be helpful. Alternatively, it should be displayed on the web. The room itself was very clean, and it was great that the toilet paper could be flushed.

The mattress was the softest mattress I’ve ever slept in it was super duper comfy! The room was nice even tho it was small, however, there was no air con in the room so you had no breeze at all unless you kept the door open, I had to use my portable fan to have a bit of breeze. Not the hostels fault but there were two guys next door to me and was soo loud I had to tell em to shut it twice! As there was no staff during the night I couldn’t even complain, also the check in is in a different building the actual building with the rooms is across the road, but not ideal to cross the road when it’s pissin it down and you got 2 cases and bags, the location was brilliant however super close to ximending, the women on reception seemed lovely
